Nowadays, the store features high end specialized grocery items, clothing, and decorative kitchen decor. If you know anything about the plight of honeybees and the fraud in the honey distribution business, you'll appreciate that the folks at Salish Lodge have tripled their original number of hives, planted wildflowers and berry plants that not only help sustain the bees but also are used in creating the Lodge's special jams, and plan to continue maintaining the apiary as a protected habitat for the bees. I purchased some honey (real 100% honey!) to bring home, and a tin of honey vanilla black tea that smells just heavenly. If you're into it, they also have Honey Ale and honey-flavored vodka, and chocolates made with their honey. While I've been going on and on about honey, The Country Store has much more.
