The salespeople are nice but not particularly knowledgeable. Pat, the jeweler, seems very competent. I probably won't go there again.

I found this little gem a few weeks ago while vacationing on Whidbey Island. As I walked in, I…read morefound it so welcoming and comfortable that I felt the desire to take off my shoes, as though I was in a home (I resisted the urge if course). The owners, Ron and Sue greeted me and provided me a brief tour of the gallery and gift items. There is definitely an array of art mediums, and price ranges. At the end of my shopping (great for gifts and souvenirs), I purchased a 15 minute Reiki session with Summer (sorry if my spelling is off) and it relaxed me to the point that I had to be coaxed off the massage table- FANTASTIC. I was invited back for an evening event of "meet and greet" with 2 of the local artists. The artists and staff were gracious and informative (the locally made lavender chocolate chip cookies were a hit- they sell the baking mix at the shop). I only wish the Gallery and shop was a bit larger to accommodate an even greater selection. This little spot is packed full of not only art, but local jewelry, one of a kind accessories, skin care and lavender products. A must see on South Whidbey.

I like the variety of products here. They have most everything I need mid project when I need it…read moreand a to. Of cool stuff I don't need but really like. The folks here are really nice. Mel is who I always wait to be helped by because she is so sweet and awesome. Love that even though it a large chain store it has a good home town vibe. Good place to shop.

A day ago, I would have given Ace Hardware 4-5 stars. A few of the staff have always been helpful…read moreand shared expert knowledge. But today, I was stopped on my way in and told I had to leave my backpack--which acts as my purse--behind the counter. ME: "Oh? When did the store start this policy?" STAFF: "We've always done it." ME: "I've NEVER been asked to surrender my backpack and I come in here a lot!" STAFF: Pulls me aside in a confidential whisper..."It's not you, if you know what I mean, but we have to do it to everyone." Now, I am an AARP-card carrying senior in her 60s and I was stopped on this one occasion out of maybe 25+ visits to this store over the past 3 months. This is a case of implicit bias in action, folks. I don't carry a purse. I carry a small knapsack to keep my wallet in. I support Ace's right to proactively prevent shoplifting. But they must be consistent enacting those policies. Don't send off a suspicious vibe when you're projecting a "friendly" atmosphere! There's a smaller neighborhood HW store down the road. I think I will take my business there from now on.

quite a drive for me living just south of Olympia, but well worth it, next time will give myself…read moremore time to enjoy the area & this amazing music shop. found Crossroads had the Martin in stock I was looking for thru the Martin website, had tried a big box music store near Seattle but pretty much ignored so walking into Crossroads & immediately greeted & attended to by Sara, one of the owners of the "mom & pop" musical instrument shop was very pleasant. The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I hope to explore more of the Washington peninsula & look forward taking more time visiting Port Townsend & Crossroads Music.

Great selection! They had many more Ukes than your average Guitar Center and many higher end models…read moreincluding KK and Martin that can be hard to find even in Seattle and Bellevue. The owners were friendly and helpful and encouraged trying out different ideals. (I loved the wonderful KK baritone) and gave useful and helpful tips on restringing. My kind of music store - they are passionate about their stuff and it shows.
