    Desert : Mango w/sticky rice
    Eddie K.

My friend and I decided to find a place to eat in downtown Buford last night. She said let's walk up and down and find a restaurant. So I randomly chose Tani Thai. I asked first if they cooked in peanut oil since I'm allergic to peanuts. The hostess told me she would check and came back and told me they cooked in vegetable oil... so we got seated pretty quickly. The service was pretty good. We ordered our food which took some time but the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered the fresh basil rolls as an appetizer, I ordered the shrimp & garlic wine and my friend ordered the tiger tears salad. We also ordered 2 cocktails a old fashioned and a lychee martini. As well as the mango with sticky rice for dessert. Let me tell you all the food was tasty and excellent. The ambiance was very cool. Definitely a cool place for a date night. I can say I will definitely be back again.

I am such a Thai snob, so it's not easy to please me when it comes to this cuisine. I'll explain why I gave it a 3 Ambiance: beautiful, elegant, and clean Service: wonderful and attentive. PS they do not split checks at this establishment. So if you go in a large party discuss this before going Food: here's why I brought the rating down. The food in my opinion is mid. The coconut soup was too sweet and oily, the rice was decent but nothing extraordinary, the pad se ew us was good but nothing I'll miss. With the flavors and all, I do believe it's overpriced. I personally wouldn't come back here but if my friends wanted to I would tag along for friendship.

First time here. Place is spacious and has great charm and decor. We started with the veggie spring rolls. Glad we did, crispy and done to perfection. Tasted great too. Hubby ordered the star of the dish. Must try the Royal Duck. Outstanding, tender duck with great sauce. We both upgraded to fried rice instead of steamed white rice. I ordered honey garlic crispy chicken with mixed veggies. So delish, the chicken was crispy. Didn't have room for dessert. A little pricey but the food and atmosphere made up for it.

Food is always so good. This is probably my 6 th time here and it does not disappoint. Appetizer was just ok but the soup was delish. My favorite drunken noodles excellent. My hubby had the duck which was excellent as well. Service was sub par My margarita was super sour. All in all food for the most part was good.

I have been here twice now. The first visit was excellent. Food and staff were amazing. The second visit was okayyy.... The food wasn't the best, even though I ordered the same dish both times. I like the ambiance of the restaurant. It gives "date night" vibes with the low lighting and the overall feel of inside. Pictures are from two different visits. Street parking available but can be limited.

This dish was so good!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was the perfect blend of honey and garlic! Paired with the white rice, I was in honey chicken heaven! Our waitress was a delight! She helped us decide between a few dishes and her recommendations couldn't have been better!! We had the honey chicken, drunken noodles(vegan style), spring rolls, and curry chicken! Love that you can pick your spice level! This place is a sure gem! Love the feel of the place with it being as historic as it is! Can't wait to return to Buford to eat here again!

One of my favorite restaurants in Buford. Everything iv tried from this place is incredibly delicious and fresh. I crave food from here everyday...that's how good they are. You can't visit without getting the steam chicken dumplings they are absolutely incredible!

We were in the mood for something different, and Thai came up. This place had relatively good reviews and 4.3 on Yelp, but some tough reviews. When we walked in, we noticed the antique safe as the hostess station and all the effort put in to making this old building beautiful. I appreciate things like this. Server was an Asian gentleman. Very friendly and attentive. We ordered spring rolls for appetizer. They were very good. I ordered royal duck and wife ordered honey garlic chicken. Both dishes were excellent, but the royal duck stole the show. Duck done well, a great mix of vegetables and the sauce was delicious. In fact, we started dipping my wife's chicken in the sauce for the duck. All in all, it was a good find. Portions good, and priced fairly. We'd come back, and I do give it a high recommendation.

    Eggplant and Tofu

Hate here for the first time and enjoyed it, so I went back a couple of days later. Both times were good. I had the tom yum mushroom with tofu soup. While tasty with a citrusy flavor, there's not much substance or bulk to it. The spring rolls are very good, second time I tried the cheese rolls. Basically soring rolls stuffed with cream cheese. Kind of a crab rangoon without crab in the mix. Whike also tasty I think Inorefer the steaight up siring rolls. But you do get a little more with the cheese rolls. For dinner both times I had the eggplant and tofu meal. Really good both times. The restaurant itself is quaint and nice. Not overly large but still a decent size. I just wish they were maybe more of a fusion situation as to allow a larger menu with more options. Both with soup and meals. Of course bring in the Buford square, parking can be an issue.

Pad Thai Noodles, Masaman Curry, 3 Flavors Tofu

Excellent, deliciously flavorful food. We ordered medium heat level and the food was mild to our taste. Each dish was perfect and fresh. Good size portions. Vegan and Vegetarian options. We ordered 3 flavors tofu, Masaman curry, Pad Thai Noodles and Mango sticky rice. Each of them was unique and tasty! The waiter was friendly and accommodating of the food restrictions and offered suggestions. Rustic, spacious restaurant located in the beautiful historic part of downtown Buford.

Enjoyed lunch here today. The Chicken Pad Thai was excellent. The Tom Yum soup was a little sweet for my taste but was otherwise pretty good. Service was quick and friendly and the renovated old building had a kind of cool vibe.

Came here for girls night and this did not disappoint! Service is 10/5, very welcoming and nice Ambiance is beautiful, very classy decor I got the Drunken Noodles with chicken $17 and Thai tea to go $5.50. Noodles were delicious and fresh tasting, you can see the chefs window area from where you are sitting. The portions are pretty good, I feel like 2 dishes are enough to split and share with each other and possibly a 3rd person I'll definitely be back!

We got a bunch of things including the hibachi (steak and shrimp), Tomiyama chicken, pad Thai, and spring rolls. While everything was just mid, I have to call out the pad Thai and spring rolls. The pad Thai was so incredibly sweet, it tasted of ketchup. The spring rolls were definitely frozen, I could taste freezer in every bite. The sushi was ok, probably the best of everything. The hibachi chef was also very nice and did a great job with the "show". I have to say - the place was not clean either. I know it was probably busier than usual due to Eid, but everything was a little dirty - from dishes to the table to the thing you get your check in, they all had something gross on it. We were able to flag the staff down at some point to clean the table and dishes, but it still felt gross. Super disappointing experience. I was here about a year ago, I think their standards have dropped significantly.

Not all heroes wear capes. Technically, this was my second visit. The first time, I wanted to write a review... but I tragically spilled our entire order in the car on the way home. (RIP, first impression.) So this round was my redemption meal. Everything was packed with care and precision, like a tiny takeout Tetris master handled it. Utensils, sauces, lime--all included. Not a single thing forgotten. A+ for organization. Chicken Pho: Loaded with tender chicken, flavorful broth, and enough liquid gold left over to sip the next day like a cozy little leftover gift. My 1-year-old shared it with me (tiny foodie in the making). I tossed in the hoisin, sriracha, fish sauce, and lime they provided, and boom: flavor bomb. Beef Drunken Noodles (Medium Heat): I ordered "medium" and they actually gave me medium--not "let us burn TF out of your mouth". Perfect balance. Again, the tiny foodie gave it 2 thumbs up!

The curry was tasty, and the drunken noodles were good enough. I think a give away that its not a traditional Thai restaurant is they dont have vinegar and jalapeño, which is pretty much at every authentic Thai restaurant. They only had vinegar.
