Really loved our experience here! We arrived a half hour before closing but the host was very kind and sat us immediately. We did not feel rushed at all, and he was patient when taking our order. Ordered the kao soi which is one of my favorite dishes, and it did not disappoint! It's hard to find this on a Thai menu so seeing it here, it was a must try. I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hearty meal with a curry based soup and delicious noodles. Generally it is egg noodle-based but their version used rice noodles which was a fine substitute. The chicken was flavorful and the portion was generous, loved the crispy noodles in the curry broth which is a standard topping. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! Oh man!! This is the new spot. I was sad the Dawg House closed. But this small spot is sooooooo delicious! Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and every flavor complemented each other. Came here to meet some friends for lunch and was looking forward to trying their food. Thai food has always been one of our favorites, recently more because they typically have GF options. They had a spacious dining room with a handful of tables but also a lot of empty space so it didn't feel very cohesive. We had a group of 6 and pushed some tables together. My husband who has celiac normally orders a curry or even pad Thai but unfortunately when we went to order and told the server of his allergy, the chef came out and said he was sorry but he didn't have anything that didn't have soy. That was a little shocking because we've never been able to find anything that he couldn't eat, there was always at least one dish. Instead of leaving, the rest of us ordered and he sat and drank his coffee while we ate. I was utterly disappointed to say the least. However, I will admit that the food we did get was very tasty. Full of flavor, portions were good and nice spice. Our server gave good service so I did not want this to reflect a bad experience at all. I would suggest though being a Thai restaurant you should consider creating some dishes without soy or Gluten so that people with celiac can eat here. Very kind young man at the front of store. We opted to eat in. The menu consisted of your typical Thai and Lao ! Because it was my first time I thought I would order my go tos. Nam tok and drunken noodles. Excellent - we also ordered the Thai beef salad to see the difference between that and the Nam Tok. Everything was so delicious. This is a very nice hole in the wall place located north of Buford. The shopping center this restaurant is located at has a small size parking. I came here on a Saturday morning/affernoon and there were several people dining already. You order at the front counter and then seat yourself. I loved the home cooked feeling in here. I ordered the Basil chicken and huge papaya salad platter which included sticky rice, sausages, lettuce, cabbage, spring rolls, fried pork, papaya salad, and chicken salad. It was awesome and tasty. I maybe not listing the properly terminology on the Laos food but I am definitely coming back again to try out different types of food. I haven't had Thai food since I moved here and had been hearing there are tons of great options! I was craving Thai at home and wanted something local and reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant close enough to my house and with prices with amazing options! Service was great and amazing, it was quick and attentive. Hidden gem! Bursting with flavor and authenticity! Reminds me of home!! Never would expect to ever find a spot where every single bite is delicious and above and beyond flavors. Papaya salad platter is a must when you are not sure what to order or want a little of everything! Egg rolls were rolled tightly and gushing with noodles and flavor. The noodle portion was generous and not soggy or over seasoned. Loved!! The sausage and garlic pork that we ordered extra! Chicken larb was tasty and herby. $3 extra for beef- also came with side of sticky rice!! All you could ever ask for! Khao poon was also very good. I don't think it needed the squeeze of lime that you could add but the chicken meatballs and shredded chicken inside with the coconut curry broth hit the damn spot! From cucumber salad to pad see ew was super sweet. The noodles weren't cooked well enough, it was raw. We barely finished our dishes. We found that sticky rice cost $5 while main dish is $13. First time enjoying this feels-like-home-cooking restaurant. The server was kind and helpful in walking through menu recommendations at the counter before self-seating. For appetizer, we tried the Chicken Egg roll. Main courses were the Thai fried garlic pork - great flavor on the spicier side served with fried rice - and the Drunken noodles chicken which were more neutral spice with vegetables. We were the only ones in the restaurant so the service was quick and employee was attentive. It's also clean inside, we saw they host midnight karaoke there! I can't believe I almost forgot to share one of my new favorite go-to spots! If you're ever in Buford (off exit 8 on 985), you have to check out SALLY'S KITCHEN THAI AND LAO. My cousin @joe_hall01 was raving about this place not long after they opened, and after my first visit, I totally get why! Every dish I've tried here has been nothing short of amazing. Their BEEF PHO, PAD SEE EW, DRUNKEN NOODLES, FRIED RICE, SPRING ROLLS, EGG ROLLS, MEATBALLS, CURRY... the list goes on and on. Now, the pictures might not do the food justice because the dining area has that cozy, dim lighting, and I don't always carry the gear I should for the perfect shot. But trust me, the food speaks for itself! The service is super polite, and the prices? Most dishes are around $13-$15. My favorite Pad See Ew plate is just $13--thirteen!! And no worries about parking; there's a whole strip of stores and restaurants. I don't often repeat places because there's just so much out there to try, but when I need a guaranteed good meal after a tough day or week, Sally's is where I'm heading. Have come to Sally's Kitchen for a few months now and love their food. They have excellent Khao Soi which is my favorite dish, and their Thai Beef Salad is very good as well. They have a lot of menu options and choices so I see myself trying new dishes and not getting tired of their menu. If I may suggest though, they may want to have a slightly smaller menu and sometimes too many options can be intimidating. The service is friendly though we mainly get take out as they don't have table service, and the ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and feels a little like you are in Thailand. What a great find! Very clean and quaint. Food was outstanding! My daughter has allergies and made them known. The chef came out and personally asked about them to make sure they avoided them so the service was above and beyond. The four in our party each ordered something different from the menu and all said their food was great. I had the chicken drunken noodles and it was the best I have ever had. I discovered Khao Soi last week at a Thai restaurant in Warner Robins and decided that it was one of the best entrees that I've ever had. I've been obsessed with Khao Soi ever since and have watched you tube videos about it and pulled up numerous Thai restaurant websites all around the areas that I travel to, looking to see if they have Khao Soi. Almost none do. Why is it so rare? So Sally's has it! I took the detour off of I-85 to give it a try. It was better than good but not like I had in Warner Robins. The portion was huge which I appreciate! The service was very friendly. The Tom Kha soup was excellent! My only complaint is that you can't get a glass of ice water. If you want water, you have to purchase a bottle. That's not great, especially when you order your Thai food Thai hot, like I do. I would had given 5 stars if it weren't for the lack of complimentary ice water. I'll still come back. read more

Have been to Sally's Kitchen 3 times now and must say they are a delicious Thai, Lao restaurant. The daily specials are highly recommended and appetizers are very delicious as well. So far for noodle dishes we have tried pad Thai, drunken noodles chicken, and pad see ew chicken. I've liked them all, but I must say their pad see ew is just amazing. I add a little spice with level mild and papaya salad is just fantastic. We've tried spicy levels hot, medium and mild. My favorite spicy level for the Lao Papaya salad was the mild level which has a slight kick to it but is simply delicious without being overly spicy. The thai teas come in cans but don't let that discourage you from trying them as they are legit as well. Pairs well with the food. Overall, I give Sally's Kitchen 5 stars and two thumbs up! This is a great find in Buford! I was thrilled to find some delicious Thai food nearby. The first time I went, I tried the Thai red curry chicken, spiced hot. It was so flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friend had the basil fried rice chicken and she absolutely loved it. We enjoyed our food so much, we returned a couple days later and tried chicken egg rolls (excellent), khao soi, thai house fried rice, and Thai fried garlic pork. Every single dish smelled so good, but the khao soi was a star! The restaurant is takeout only, but they do have seating if you want to dine-in (just don't have table service). But the cashier was very attentive and would check on people in the dining room. Definitely will be returning as there are so many things on the menu, and I plan on using their catering services, too. read more

Here is why to avoid this restaurant. They are not using their exhaust fans over the deep fryer, and you will have to shower and launder your clothes to get the oil stench off of your body, hair, and clothing. The oil is coating every surface of the restaurant. The oil clearly is also not being changed frequently based on the unmistakable stench. Misguided karaoke being offered for $25 an hour late nights. They had plastic bags over the audio equipment to prevent the oil from coating it. The young lady took our order tableside, delivered food and water, buy didn't really provide any "service". We had to ask for obvious needs. If you are going to provide table service, then do it properly. Food was a good value, but dining in is not an option unless they start using the exhaust hoods. They are likely clueless regarding the health impacts of coating your lungs with oil daily. read more

Food is awesome if the you don't mind eating with plastic utensils and paper plates. However, I go to restaurants for quality food not what they serve it in. Service is always feels personal and ambience is not the best but again it's quality food. We go frequently and my fave is their rice dish and pad prik king. My first time ordering from this restaurant, I ordered grub hub and everything arrived hot and very quickly. The Tom Kha chicken soup has AMAZING flavor. The fresh summer rolls are large and nice. The Pad Thai noodles are delicious lots of nuts and loaded with chicken. As I was ordering I felt $48 for a man side and soup was pretty expensive but It is a large portion of food and I will definitely have enough to share or for 2 meals. Good experience. One thing I loved about this place was the sticky rice, I usually hate it but some how they made it super good and that sealed the deal... please come enjoy this fabulous food! Also before I forget the attendant was more than awesome... telling us the special dishes of the day which was awesome and letting us know the price on upgrades before we ordered. We went with 8 people to celebrate a birthday. We were able to seat at a curved booth enabling everyone to visit. The room was small, yet comfortable. There was a Laotian (?) opera playing on a screen. The music was pleasant and did not overwhelm the conversation. Everyone ordered different selections, but they were all delicious as we shared bites between us. I was able to order catfish as a menu change. it was battered lightly and very tender. We were initially the only party on a Sunday at noon. Soon, many other diners began coming in for both dine in and take out orders.
