Kaily's is an enigma. I have to agree with other reviewers, that the initial communication is very…read moregood. We had the guys come out, review our tree removal needs, and give us a firm quote right there on the spot. Thereafter, scheduling was pretty easy too. They showed up when they said they were going to and started working immediately. From there, things went a bit wonky. They told us our job would be a one-day job. It turned into 3 days. Each day, the entire crew would just pack up and be gone, leaving each time and not communicating when, or even if, they'd be back to finish. Halfway through day-2, they moved our neighbors stuff around in their yard without their or our permission (didn't even talk to us about it). On top of that, they also messed up part of that same neighbor's yard dealing with the tree on that side of the job. The ground/grass there is pretty well destroyed, and they did not have permission to be on the neighbor's property. While expected, as we had some YUGE trees that needed to be removed (80-90 footers), our yard is completely destroyed. They did do a good job protecting our irrigation heads all throughout the yard though, even those right below where the huge trees fell. By the time they left for the 2nd day, still unfinished and not telling us when/if they'd be back, we were a bit exasperated. When we asked what was going on with the final piece of the job, the stump grinding, they said they didn't know and that it was a different team that came out and did that, and they had their own/different schedule and we'd just be worked in when they were available. Several days later, the stump grinding team showed up unannounced. They went to work on the stumps immediately, but left GIANT piles of sawdust in the yard where the stumps were ground. We weren't expecting that and calls/texts sent asking about it were not returned... finally they just sent us an invoice via email and we never heard anything else from them. We just paid the bill to be done with the job, but don't necessarily feel like we received everything we paid for in totality. Overall, they did the job, the trees and stumps are gone, and they didn't break anything that needed to be repaired, but we now have some additional work to the grounds (including our neighbors) that has to be done as a result.

They had an excellent rates and once the job was scheduled they showed up and worked until the truck was full and they had to come back another day. The only issue I had was communication in getting the service scheduled. We had them come out and do the estimate super quickly. However getting a hold of them to get the work scheduled took multiple back and forths of text messages. Overall we are extremely pleased with the service they did; just make sure that when you get the estimate you are willing to schedule that day.

What amazed me the most was meeting him in the morning for a quote, then hiring him and asking if he could start that same day. He made it happen. Next thing I know... trucks and big machinery come up rolling up. Great price for the amount of work done, with the right equipment. Very impressed with how well his crew conducted themselves. They clean up everything they cut and make sure everything is left in better shape than I could ever imagine. I have always been a DIY person but this is a job i couldn't do... Karol's tree services was able to a great safe job. And my "perfectionism" approves 100%. We ended up having them cut two big cedar trees down with stump removal 5 other stumps removed 3 medium small trees taken out and trimmed 1 huge tree trimmed And a bit of yard cleanup and trimming So glad to have found this company. Last week, Romiro (the owner) came out to my property (after being late due to reportedly having truck problems), and was very nice. Reasonable quote. Was looking forward to having the trees on my property trimmed. He showed my husband and I his license and schedule. We decided to get this done today, 4/4/17 starting anywhere from 8am-8:30am. Well, fast forward to 4/4/17 (today): 9am came and went. I contacted the office. The woman told me we were in fact on the schedule and she would contact her "boss" to find out what happened and get back to me. Well, over 1/2 hour came and went and no returned call. I called back around 40 minutes later, I left a voice message. She called back a couple of minutes later and told me the guys were emptying out their trucks because they were full. They would be here between 10:30am-11am. 11:20am: no tree service on my property, no follow-up phone call to notify me of what was going on. Basically, a no-show. I called the office once more and cancelled the service. I notified them I would be searching for another company. Never received a call back. I am extremely disappointed as I have many other things happening and was looking forward to having the trees trimmed so that they would be safer when we get these strong TN storms. I do not understand why a company would give the estimate and then not follow-through without an explanation. I understand life happens and would have been perfectly fine if they contacted me and told me the truth, that they either forgot or something happened, etc... I do not, however, understand this type of unprofessional behavior that seems to be more mainstream nowadays. I am a professional myself and conduct my self as such. I guess I will stop expecting others to act the same. Based solely on my experience, I DO NOT and CANNOT recommend this company. Here's a doozy of an update: Apparently, they don't even communicate with their own staff. 2 guys came out here without being notified that I had cancelled from earlier due to lack of communication on their part. They said they were the only 2 that were sent out to start this massive tree trimming service (for 2 60' hackberry trees, might I add). I had been instructed earlier by the woman that answers the calls that more guys would be sent out due to starting at a later time in the day (which was supposed to be around 11am). And these 2 poor guys were the "extras"?! Messy business practices.

He seemed nice and he said that they could do it this week so I picked his company. Since he did not give me an appointment time, the burden was on me to keep in touch with him as to the status of the pending job. Two days later a 3man crew came late in the day, they did about 2/3ds of the job, ran out of room in the debris truck and promised they'd come the next morning between 7-8am to finish the job. They did not come next day. I called Kevin and he said they'd get to it later that day. It rained most of morning but was clear in pm. At 4:41 I left a voice message and he texted me a half hour later that the crews had gone home for the day at 12pm. No one had told us that. We spent the day on alert for their trucks. We had needed to do an important medical errand and instead had waited for them all day so we were upset and I let him know that. He claimed it was a misunderstanding, that he had expected the crew boss to contact us. But Kevin is the scheduler and it was his responsibility. If he's not on top of what each of his crews is doing then it tells me there isn't good communication within the company. It's really not a good sign when a company blames their communication problems on the customer. Next day a different 5man crew did come and finished the job in the rain. They worked fast and I appreciated that. They were packing up and my husband pointed out another huge part of the trunk that still needed to be taken and they got that, so it was important that we were there for it. Kevin blamed it all on the weather and on me for being upset about one missed update, everything but himself. He couldn't hear that the medical errand we missed while waiting for his crew was important to us. He also claimed that they got to the job faster than anyone else would have. To that I say this was a 2hour job and should have been done in 1 session. It's not a kindness to do a big chunk of a job fast, then and leave the customer, who is now committed to you, twisting in the wind for days. The tree could have waited till a scheduled one session appointment with someone else. He said he didn't want me to call him again since he felt I'd gotten 'worked up' over nothing. I said I had no intention of calling him again. I understand the vagaries of weather and that they get a lot of emergency calls. But it would have taken him half a minute to text me that they weren't coming. I'm glad there are 24/7 emergency tree services of which Newcomb is one. But if your tree situation is not an emergency then it's likely that your job might fall through the cracks. I do not recommend Newcomb Tree Service, Kingston Springs, TN
