I have never dealt with a company with such poor communication skills. They have been to my 89-year-old mother's home twice. They were unable to fix the 18-month-old, $2500 GE refrigerator. The "repair man" Jean said he would contact Assurant the extended service company to let them know he was unable to fix it. Not only did he not contact them, he never even opened an incident claim. This problem has been going on since July 14, 2022. Today is September 8, 2022. We called the office multiple times, they do not pick up but they do have music playing all day long. read more

If you're looking for crappy customer service, you've found the right place! We were unfortunately assigned to them by Lowe's to repair our washer and dryer. Scheduled an appt for 7/1/20 between 12-4. Had someone waiting at home all day and they never showed or called. I called them and waited over 2 hours on the phone with no answer and I called again today, 7/2/20, and waited over 3 hours with no answer either. We were assigned to them back in 10/17 to repair our dryer again and I was 6 days post csection and they were a no call no show then too. Had I remembered it were the same people, I would have asked to be assigned to another company. If Lowe's tries to assign these people to do your repairs, REFUSE!!! Total waste of time. We have a service plan for our fridge through Lowe's. They gave us these...people.. They called my wife's number once, then sent a text. I called and after 25 minutes on hold, got blamed for not answering the phone. I started out polite, I asked what are we going to do. The guy was snarky and snapped at me that we will have to reschedule and then jumped back into blaming me for not answering the first call. I asked multiple times when we were going to reschedule. The guy escalated to raising his voice each time I asked and kept returning to blaming me for not answering the phone. I asked multiple times to get the appointment rescheduled and then ended up stating that I will be calling Lowe's to inform them of the insulting manner in which this person treated me. read more

Overall, my washer repair was good. There were a few schedule changes on the part of the repair company, but they did arrive as stated. Also, the repairman did not connect the water hoses back correctly, so we had to do so after he left. This is why I could not give a 4 or 5 star for our experience. read more

He assessed the problem and then LIED to the home warranty company who stated the refrigerator was not located in the kitchen. HUH? I thought this company was going to be great. I was wrong. Initially, through my home warranty, they were selected. The appt was scheduled and the service repair person showed up on time and diagnosed the issue (or at least I am hoping it is the issue considering I am still waiting on the part). Thus far I have had to do all the follow up with both Tanstel and the Home warranty company to get a status and it has been 2 1/2 weeks and still waiting on part. Pathetic service from the Tanstel Electronics service contractor sent to our house by New Leaf warranty co. -Original tech DIDN'T check the oven just guessed at the part that was broken, and left. -After weeks of not ordering the part and us calling them to remind them to finish the job, they ordered the part -After that service tech no showed on 4 appointments (and us reminding them to come back) a different service tech from Transtel told us the part the first tech ordered wasn't broken and they had to order other parts to fix our oven The list goes on and on with the incompetence shown this firm. After waiting a week for the appt, the technician said they would order a part that would take 2-7 days. After repeated texts (because they don't answer the phone), I was told that they were checking status and would follow up with an update. No updates after two weeks of texting. Escalated to warranty company who has also not received any communication from the company. Overall poor customer service and completely unresponsive. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, and if your warranty company has you scheduled with this company, have them reschedule you immediately with another company. They came in via a warranty on my refrigerator. Communication needs a lot of work. Sometimes I'd get a text update and sometimes it took days to get a reply. Also called and when I selected the option to leave a message, it would transfer me and I got a "enter the extension you want to contact." Thus I left the communication up to the warranty company. Where to begin! If I could give them negative stars, I absolutely would! I have no idea how this company is still in service. The owner should be ashamed he is running such a corrupt and poor excuse for a service company. First of all, our extended warranty company contracted out Tanstel Electronics and then they sent out their "tech" and I use that term loosely because this gentleman had no idea what he was doing on three separate visits to our home. He was reading off the owners manual when trying to diagnose the problem with our fridge. So they sent him out three times because he couldn't fix it. And, in fact, the fridge ended up being worse off than when we first had them out. And we've since had to call a different repair company to fix the fridge because this company couldn't do it. Second of all, the tech didn't use a slide when moving out our fridge to look behind it, so our hardwood floors are scratched to hell! I've called and spoken with the manager, John, about this and he says unless we have pictures from before showing no damage, then we can't prove it was them! I'm about to call a lawyer and see if we have any options. Third of all, their customer service is abysmal! The number of times I was promised a call back and never received one is almost laughable. Not to mention, the countless hours I spent on hold. No apologies or anything when I called about the floors being scratched or was in tears because it has been 2 months without a working fridge with a 7 month old (who I need a place to store breast milk for) and a 3 year old in the house, no caring at all for the customer! Lastly, the "tech" himself stated at one visit that the part and repair would take months to fix. When I asked why, he said, "well I just know my company". And then he proceeded to say, but as an employee I'm supposed to tell you 5-7 business days!!!! Insanity that this is allowed!!!! I wish I could contact the owner with my complaints. I called on June 30 to see about getting my TV fixed. Called them two weeks later because no one came out to fix it. They said that they had just ordered the part to fix the TV two weeks after I spoke to them! They just got the part in last Monday, September 21. And no one called to let me know it was in... I called them 25 September and they told me it would be two weeks before they could to get somebody out to fix my TV. I just went up there to drop off my TV to get it fixed. But this place looks super slim shady! All they have is a desk in their front office and a computer! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! They do not even deserve one star. Run away!!!Awful service and They took out parts so our fridge no longer works. Our 6 month old LG fridge wasn't freezing or making ice. Tanstel ordered an new compressor and evaporator, but sent a tech that didn't have the right tools or know how to install a compressor on this fridge model. But the tech removed our working compressor and left us with a non working fridge or freezer!!! LG was on hold with them for over 90 minutes trying to reach ANYONE at Tanstal. LG finally gave up and booked a different repair company to come out and clean up Tanstals mess. read more

Didn't show up for first service appointment. Emailed after appt saying not to take the day off - I see now someone else reviewed the same problem. Office Phone number goes directly to automated message saying to text so you don't ever get to talk to anyone on the phone. Emails don't have appt time listed, but says be ready at the time "below." Technician came out, said it needs a part within 10 min of being here (without taking washer apart or starting cycle that is messing up). Says he googled the problem and it's the belt. They Ordered the part, but company scheduled tech to come out before the part arrived. Thankfully I asked him at confirmation if he had the part and he said no. Rescheduled for after part arrives. 4th attempt, same tech comes in and I hand him the belt that came in the mail in an Amazon package. He doesn't take the washer apart, doesn't start the washer or anything. Sits in the laundry room quietly. I'm thinking how strange. Within 10 min he says alright I'm done and hands me the Amazon package and says can you throw away this trash for me. I see after he left that it's the belt he was supposed to install and he lied. Our washing machine was emitting a terrible smell and we contacted Tanstel band they were able to fit us in quickly, replace a part for the washer. Our electrician also performed a routine maintenance check and found a corroded part that was not visible unless the whole machine was taken apart. He was able to replace this as well. Everything bad. I have assurant warranty. I scheduled a service call from theAssurant website. It had me choose a time. Right after I finished I received a text from Tanstel. It said to disregard the time I selected from assurant. They then wanted pictures of this and that, even though Assurant had everything. It also said they would contact me. My appt. was 2 days later. At the end of the next day, no call. I called them. Someone answered and their very strong accent made them very hard to understand. Mind-boggling. I admit I have an unusual brand of appliance but one of the call-center or dispatch guys flat-out told me he didn't have time to call the manufacturer for diagram or product info. Fail. I paid $90 for a guy to come out and rather than have them return, I opted to forfeit my $90. It's a tough pill to swallow but sometimes you just have to cut your losses. I contacted these folks reference my washer and I was immediately impressed with the very quick response to my text as well as a follow up meeting which was scheduled very shortly there after. They were very patient as I had to change and cancel of the meetings that were set up to finally confirm two of the meetings.... the third time was a charm. These individuals were not only very thorough and competent but extremely careful and cautious in my home and very, very professional. The cost was very appropriate for all the work and effort that they incurred. The individuals were most patient as there was a great deal of increased labour due to me having the washer and dryer stacked in a tight location. I was happy to tip both of them well for their efforts. I would highly recommend these individuals to anyone. read more

I had an issue with my refrigerator not cooling. I contacted my home warranty company and they recommend Tanstel Electronics. I was skeptical after reading the reviews , but at this point I had no choice. When they received my order they contacted me via text to alert me that my order was received. They called the day of and informed me what time their expected arrival time will be. They were professional and prompt. My refrigerator needed a part and they informed me that it will be a few days, before receiving the part. Once the part arrived they contacted me and installed it with no problems. Lowes scheduled a tech to come out for an issue with my water dispenser. The minute the tech walked in the door he freaked out because my little shihszu wanted petted, and he threatened a lawsuit if he got bit...if anything, she would lick him to death. Then he determined it needed a water valve replaced and it would be delivered to them in a week. He then told me that since it is not urgent he would come when he had another service call in our area because it was too far for him to drive. I waited a month without hearing back from them so I called and they had not even ordered the part yet. Said they would be back in a week to do the job. Received a call from them saying the tech was ill and had to go home, 3 days later he was still sick and couldn't make it so they scheduled another tech for the following week. At the end of the day they called and said this tech;s car broke down and he would not be able to make it. Another 2 weeks passed and I called Lowes telling them what was going on but they had no other provider in the area and said I could pay for someone else and they would reimburse me. I said no because it takes too long to get your money back, so they rescheduled me again with them. That day came and late in the day I had to call Tanstel and confirm the appointment Lowes made and they told me I was not on the schedule and that Lowes does that a lot (I didn't believe him of course) so once again I am waiting for them to come today and have yet to be confirmed with a phone call from them so it looks like I am wasting another day waiting for a probable no show. Need to mention it is very hard to understand their thick accent, so communication is difficult. Lowes needs to find another service provider for real. If only they read the comments on this review page they would be embarassed and hire a different company to do their warranty repairs. If you buy ANY appliance ANYWHERE you need to make sure that on the warranty you buy that TANSTEL ELECTRONICS is not the service people. It is going on 3 months now since one of their 'qualified technicians' (lol) came out to fix my Bosch dishwasher. Someone came out earlier to fix it but when they pushed the dishwasher back into place it started working great. The service man said that it must have been not completely plugged in the back. He ordered the part anyway and about 2 or so weeks later the 'repairman' (lol) showed up at our house to fix it.....again. We told him that it was working fine that we are pleased with it. The repairman said....'well, I have the part, I might as well put it in.' So a few hours into it I went and asked him how it was going. He said that he couldn't get it to work. I told him....'just put the other part back in that it was working fine before. He told me that he DID put the other part in and it still doesn't work. He left saying he had other customers to call on. 2 weeks later he came again with no new parts and sat infant of the dishwasher for 2 hours trying different things and...IT STILL DIDNT WORK. He told me that he has been at our house for over 2 hours and he had other customers to see so he left. We later found out that he had to order another part. Of course this part is backordered. It has been 3 months since we have not had a dishwasher. The man was looking at 'youtube' videos as he worked on my dishwasher. Of course New Leaf Warranty who carries the warranty will not call us back. Not in 3 months have we received a call from the manager at Tanstel who we have been asking for. Today ApplianceSmart called me to tell me that the part he ordered was backordered again. ApplianceSmart are the only ones who ever called me back. Oh....there was Nathaniel with New Left Warranty and he said he was going to get to the bottom of this and he will call me back. NOT A WORD BACK FROM HIM. Surely there is some kind of lawsuit I can file. Can anyone help me out with what my best options are. I am reporting them to the BBB. I asked for a new dishwasher and they said they had to fix it. First diagnosis, too much soap left in the drain not allowing water to drain, Wrong. Second diagnosis oh! ... the drain pump is bad and we'll need to order it, WRONG. I wish there was an option for "no stars". I have a defective GE Dishwasher that we are trying to have repaired/replaced. Home Depot called this company to make repairs. The first scheduled appointment made the Tech was a no show. This was very aggravating since I travel a lot and have to sometimes re-arrange flights to accommodate the repairs. I called Home Depot back and they apologized for the inconvenience and would get someone out as soon as possible. They scheduled another visit and it happened to be a week that that I was home, so I agreed. What I didn't know was that they were scheduling the same company that had stood me up originally. When the tech arrived and began checking the dishwasher I stayed in the kitchen with him as he asked me a number of questions about what the appliance was and wasn't doing. After a few moments, the Tech stopped working, looked up at me and asked if I was going to watch him the whole time. I was a little taken aback but thought maybe I had misunderstood. I asked again, and he stated that he would not be able to work while I was watching him. I then said, "well, I don't know you and you're in my house so I'm going to watch what's going on for the most part". The tech began to put his tools away and stated that he would be unable to work under those conditions. He then took his phone out of his pocket and was trying to take pictures of the washer and the inside of the washer. At this point I became uncomfortable, closed the dishwasher and asked him to leave. He stated that he would not be leaving without his tools. I furthered stated that he already packed his tools up, but he insisted that there more tools inside the washer. I again asked him to leave and that once he was out of my house I would check the washer for any additional tools. Once he was outside the house I checked and there was nothing left behind. I believe for some reason he wanted me to open the dishwasher again so that he could take additional pictures. I don't know. The entire situation became awkward and unprofessional very quickly. I could not imagine this situation if my wife or elderly mother were here instead of me. When I called the company's office and let them know the situation they stated that they would speak to management and get back with me. When I received a call back I was told that they would no longer like to service my machine due to the fact that I "threw their tech out of my house". I stated what had happened again and that I didn't throw him out...I asked him to leave. Either way...this is definitely not a company that I would recommend to anyone.
