I have received multiple compliments on my skin since Mai has given me, both, the microdermabrasions and hyrdrodermabrasions. She has an exceptional knowledge on skin care and specifically caters to what my skin needs. Her professionalism gives me a peace of mind and lets me know that I can trust her and her recommendations. She isn't just your skin expert -- she also does make-up and hair! Mai did a keratin treatment on my crazy hair last year and I'm surprised it helped tame the beast. I've always had extremely curly hair and taking care of it was just too much trouble. During one of my skin treatments with Mai, I asked her about what she thought would be best for my curly and she recommended trying the keratin treatment. After the keratin treatment, I no longer needed to use a straightener to straighten my hair! I could just blow dry and BAM -- straight hair! Anyone who knows me knows that that's a big deal because my hair normally just puffs up after blow drying it LOL Mai also did my make-up (and my mother's make-up) for my brother's wedding and everybody I came in contact with that night complimented my make-up. I can go on and on about how extraordinary she is at her profession. Let me tell you what the icing on the cake is though -- she is genuinely an amazing person. It's one thing to have a medical professional help you with your skin care needs but it's another thing when you know that, deep down, she is extremely sincere and authentic. If you love yourself, schedule an appointment to see Mai :)

I have mild palmoplantar psoriasis--a non-contagious skin condition and without any flair ups --and instead of making me feel welcomed, the staff made me feel judged the entire time. The pedicure was rushed and barely addressed my calluses/extra skin (which is the entire reason I get pedicures! Is to keep the extra skin I produce off). No callus softener was used, and when I asked for more effort, it was done, but met with an energy as if I was crazy for asking that, again, it's literally the ONLY thing I look forward to and need. The neon yellow polish I chose was applied without a white base, making it look dull and sloppy. Then I was asked if it was ok - which kind of confused me, because shouldn't an experienced nail tech know that a white base is required for neon colors to pop properly? It looked horrible and I had to have her remove it. For my manicure, I asked for dip powder, but the tech convinced me into some "new gel technique" that burned my nails every time she put them under the light and smelled horrible. The result was so bad, it literally oozed onto my skin, and didn't stick to my nails because I couldn't cure the gel due to the burning sensation under the light. Felt like I was placing resin on my nails. When I mentioned the details I was experiencing and in as kind of a manner as I could and that it was ok I could just go to my usual place, I was met with an exchange of words in Vietnamese, which frustrated me even more and semi attitude from some of the staff. I really didn't mean to make anything difficult and I even mentioned paying for what I could and that I'd just happily leave. I finally was able to get up to leave and go straight to my usual salon to have everything redone. To add the cherry on top - I still paid $70 for this service. Beautiful inside and the salon and I really liked the way they displayed the colors they have, that was actually really nice. Their follow-up message basically blamed my skin condition instead of acknowledging their lack of care and professionalism. For anyone with even the slightest skin issue or who expects basic customer service: stay far away. EDIT AFTER REVIEW RESPONSE: Your response only confirms my frustration. Let me be crystal clear: I didn't come to your salon for medical treatment - I came for a basic pedicure and manicure like I've had at countless other salons without issue. What I received was rushed, low-effort service and a lack of care. My feet weren't properly prepped, my calluses weren't addressed, and the neon polish was applied without a base coat - resulting in a dull, sloppy finish. On my hands, I was pressured into a gel service I didn't even want, which burned my nails and smelled awful. I left embarrassed, uncomfortable, and $70 lighter... only to immediately go to my usual salon to have everything redone the right way. Your continued focus on my skin condition as a scapegoat is both dismissive and tone-deaf. This wasn't a health issue. This was a quality and professionalism issue. Own that. Do better.

The atmosphere and my esthetician were amazing. Very relaxing and the pressure she used was just right. What I didn't like... I purchased they additional since I was in a "I love/ let's pamper me" mood . But honestly except for the eye brow shaping ( which I was a bit disappointed As i still had loose baby hair flying around after the wax) I wasn't sure what/and if she was doing what I asked. It may be just me but I would of appreciated her walking me through what she was doing. Overall, I will more than likely go back. It was a good experience.

They wouldn't give me a refund saying the packages would be good forever. Now that I'm back in the area visiting, I've been trying to make an appointment to use what I purchased. I've called several times and left voicemails. NO ONE will call me back. So there is $300 I've lost to these people. Forgot to mention that I've tried several times throughout the 5 years to make appointments. One time I talked to someone a couple years ago they said they would let me pick from packages with the money I had since costs had gone up. Nope you have to honor what I purchased. Your words when you wouldn't refund my money. I'll change my review of if I could ever get a call and use what I've paid for. The packages I purchased.

I discovered this place via Groupon and decided to try out a float tank experience…read more Ava was the attendant that welcomed me in. She was warm, inviting, and offered for me to use the bathroom before getting started. She walked me through the whole floatation experience process and allowed for any questions. The room has a washcloth, two towels- a body and a hair towel, ear plugs, and ointment for any potential skin tears or cuts. The shower has instructions in there on a metal plate attached to wall, but Ava as well explained the pre-and post float shower expectations. Then she offered me a speaker that could connect to my phone via Bluetooth, which I really appreciated, and then she left me to get started. After inserting the earplugs, showering/exfoliating and shampooing my hair, I got into the tub. There is a neck-support float provided as well, which I decided to use, and as well there is a provided water bottle to spray in case salt gets in your eyes. There are "constellation lights" on the ceiling above the tub and also LED lights that are in the background. There are different buttons in the tub that you can press to adjust either/or and as well a button for controlling the room light. The water temperature was nice and the tub spacious. Then you float until being signaled that your time is up via flickering lights. I followed the post-float shower instructions and applied the "soothing lotion" before finishing up. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience! I recommend trying out At Peace By Defying Time spa if you're looking for a float tank experience.

Anyways I hate that it's so far away from me, I think location definitely effects their business and customer inflow. But the new owner is so sweet. She was very helpful when I arrived, and asked me if I had done this before, and explained to me how their tank sessions work. Overall the experience was good, but I'll be honest it wasn't as relaxing for me as the others I've been too, because the room is too bright for me. So they do have options for lighting, but it's either pitch dark or they have some colored lights and a starry night feeling but they're so bright I could still "see" them when closing my eyes. Additionally, they do have the option for music but you attach your own phone to play it. I personally didn't like all these features, others may.....in the past my float sessions the lights were dimmer and they played light music right in the pod with you and had ambient lights and they helped wake you from your session gradually. It all just felt more relaxing. That said, if you're looking to float this serves that purpose, but I personally like the closed in pods better I realize versus this which is more of a bathtub version. They also offer other services if floating isn't your thing or you want to add on.
