I was very impressed with the service. My pet peeve is dirty dishes sitting in front of people and that did not happen! The wedding cake was delicious. White homemade cake with a light strawberry cream. My only suggestion would be to have had someone to serve all the pies. It was kind of awkward having to do it yourself. I definitely recommend Emily's for your next event.

They were helpful, responsive, and everything was clear and upfront. There were no surprise charges, or "gotchas". In fact they did several things beyond the scope of the contract without additional charges. More importantly, on the wedding day everything went perfectly. They gave us great advice on the set up of the tables, chairs, bar etc. They listened carefully to everything that was asked of them, made a couple of outstanding suggestions and dealt with the problems caused by strong gusts of wind at an outdoor venue with calm assurance. All of the food was incredible. The hor's d'ourves were fantastic, especially the brie and artichoke tarts, mini lobster rolls and tuna tacos. The mac and cheese in mini ramekins were also a huge hit. The dinners were equally delicious. I had the half chicken, which was served with a delicious polenta. It was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, moist with a crispy skin. Other sides were served family style and were all fantastic. The dessert was also superb. Each guest received a trio of mini desserts, each of which was delightful. We had several guests with food restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free). The servers made sure the restrictions were observed, and they made it a point to bring appropriate appetizers to those guests, which was a very nice touch. All of the guests raved about the food. The service was also first class. There were so many servers handling the passed hor's d'ourves that every guest had multiple chances to try each of the offerings. Service of the dinner was equally impressive. The venue is outdoors, and it is a bit of a hike from the kitchen tent to the dining area. Despite that, the guests were served quickly, and the food came to the table still hot. Finally, their prices are quite reasonable, especially given the outstanding quality of the food and service. A very good value.

Joan made this process so incredibly easy, she was so friendly and has such great attention to details. Mike was actually at the event along with his employees. He was incredible! Had everything under control and is kind and friendly. Now if this couple isn't the dynamic duo I don't know who is! The food was delicious! lovingly prepared and served with a smile. Do not hesitate to call this caterer! They are delightful and my guests were impressed as well. Thank you Mike and Joan so very much! Bernadette Antonellis Sanders

Joan called me back right away as she had a cancellation on the date we wanted. That was pure luck and the rest is history. Joan, her family and staff at Franklin Caterers were awesome to deal with. She made great suggestions for renting the tent and tables, took care of all the menu details as well as linens, and provided the perfect advice for setting up the bar and provided a bartender. Everyone was superbly professional, on-time, very communicative and we were able to enjoy the party with our guests which was our goal. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

So, I would like to think I know the ins and outs of the industry, definitely not off premise catering which is I know is completely different. I just need to tell you how incredibly impressed I was with the Pranzi team. From the very beginning working with Chelsea was a dream, she was professional, prompt, and helpful. This event was the first of its kind and I had never worked in Rhode Island before. It is also the first event at the hotels we used as they typically do not do events. I found Pranzi in my search, and they seemed like the right fit and they certainly were! Melissa and Jarrod were with us each day for breakfast and lunch and as soon as I met them, I knew they had everything in control and in place. Melissa was thoughtful, gave us help determining the best for set up and kept me informed as needed throughout the day. Jarrod was a very nice, helpful man and always willing to help and very kind. Our evening events with Erica as the lead and with Erica and Jen on night 2 along with their team - Jonathan, Emily, Jennesey, Michaela, Joe, Jeremy, Joscan and Brent. Wow ! They made us shine. What an amazing group of wonderful people who are amazing at their jobs. I had many conversations with all of them, and the conversations ALWAYS came back to how much they love their job, they love the company and said that the owner takes such good care of them. I kept telling them I was going to move to RI so I can work with all of them again and host more events ! I could go on and on. I am highly, highly, impressed by their operation, their team, their offerings and not to mention the food was delicious and the presentations were all beautiful. We got so many compliments from our attendees. With gratitude - Carla Ryan

I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Pranzi for my wedding catering and tent…read morerental. The biggest issue was the lack of communication, preparation, and coordination leading up to and on our wedding day. The event coordinator I was assigned from the beginning was pregnant and due to give birth about a month before my wedding. While I completely understand that circumstances like this happen, there should have been a proper transition plan in place. Instead, I was informed of a new coordinator only ONE WEEK before my wedding, and I did not actually speak with or meet my new coordinator, Rachel, until the day before. At that point, it was very clear that nothing had been properly communicated or transferred over. Unfortunately, this resulted in complete chaos on our wedding day. Tables were set up in the wrong order, place cards were not placed correctly, a significant amount of our personal decorations were never put out, and the floor plan was incorrect. Rachel also completely mishandled our ceremony processional. She had the bridesmaids begin walking out while the groomsmen's song was still playing, completely throwing off the timing and flow of our ceremony entrance. This was something that should have been coordinated ahead of time, and it was incredibly disappointing to have such an important moment handled so poorly. The lack of preparation extended to basic catering necessities as well. Pranzi did not bring trash bags or paper towels, and they did not provide steak knives for guests who were served the steak meal. These are extremely basic items that I would expect a professional catering company to have prepared and readily available for a wedding. The coordination itself was also incredibly frustrating. Rachel took very little initiative and seemed to have very limited problem-solving skills. Multiple times, she would ask me if I wanted something handled, I would say yes, and then it simply would not get done. As the bride, I should not have had to spend my wedding day tracking down my coordinator and making sure basic tasks were being completed. One of the most disappointing moments was after our wedding speeches, when we went to do our champagne toast and realized that the bride and groom's champagne glasses had not even been filled. Something that should have been such a simple detail was completely overlooked. I understand that weddings are large events and that things can go wrong, but what was most disappointing was the sheer lack of preparation, communication, initiative, and problem-solving. These were not just minor details that we could overlook. We trusted Pranzi with a very important day, and unfortunately, the execution did not reflect the level of service we expected. I reached out to the owner, Lisa, to share my experience and give Pranzi an opportunity to address what happened. Unfortunately, and not to my surprise given the lack of communication throughout this entire experience, she has not responded! If you are a bride considering hiring Pranzi for your wedding day, I strongly encourage you to proceed with caution and ask detailed questions about who will be coordinating your event, how transitions between coordinators are handled, and how you can be assured that every detail will be communicated and followed through on. Based on my experience, I would not recommend relying on Pranzi to manage the details of your wedding without extensive oversight and written confirmation.

Shuckin Truck was an absolute hit! They set up the outdoor raw bar...clams (littlenecks), oysters, and shrimp on ice, in a very attractive manner. The table was manned by a charming "shucker". There were an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvres which included lobster grilled cheese lobster triangles...these were indescribably delicious. Everyone was oohing and aahing over these. I also loved the smoked salmon on toast and the small cups of really tasty clam chowder. All the appetizers were incredibly delicious although I would say the lobster grilled cheese was the biggest hit. All of the staff were polite and friendly. After the appetizer round, the lobster rolls came out and they were simply spectacular. They were true New England lobster rolls on toasted square edged (this is key) frankfurter buns, and absolutely stuffed with chunks of delicious lobster meat that had been lightly dressed with mayo. Those rolls were out of this world, deliciously prepared and very generously filled with sweet lobster meat. They also served fabulous fish tacos. For the non-seafood eaters of which there were none at this party, they served a pulled pork taco which was spicy and delicious. The portions were generous and the food just kept on coming out. While there was plenty of additional food at this party from other vendors as well as some homemade additions, Shuckin' Truck was my favorite part of the overall feast. Great job! I would not hesitate to hire them for a party or to seek out the food truck wherever it was parked!
