A Thyme to Cook rose to the occasion, creating amazing dishes that satisfied ever the most devout meat eaters. Delicious and aesthetic appetizers, savory entrees, and a wide-range of wonderful desserts. The bar was stocked with standard mixers, but also fresh juices and high-quality garnishes. Additionally, they were wonderful at preparation, providing insights and planning that really guided the success of the reception. Not only was the staff incredibly professional, they were flexible, proactively tackling last-minute challenges. They supplied day-of table changes and had extra bar supplies. The reception was beautiful thanks to their decorating! I had individualized centerpieces and very specific requests for table mapping and other set-up. They ran with everything, perfecting fulfilling all of my (arguably over-detailed) requests. I highly recommend this caterer! For some practical points: they are a higher price-point, but have a sliding scale to accommodate different budgets. They are willing to talk frankly about any restrictions and services. It was refreshing to talk details and receive realistic and useful advice. They are certainly wedding experts.

I called other catering options, but I always went back to the first conversation in my mind that I had with Juli. She really painted the picture of what I wanted for my wedding. Our wedding date was 10/4/24 and Juli said, "Okay, so it's fall in New England. Your guests arrive to apple cider and water before being seated in the vineyard." I was hooked. A Thyme to Cook's reviews spoke for themselves, but I also felt extremely lucky when I was paired with Paige as my coordinator. Not only did she make the day of my wedding run as seamless as possible, but she also answered all of my paragraph long emails leading up to the wedding. She was the most important person I was working with throughout this whole experience since I was planning the wedding myself and not using a planner. Because of her I felt confident in how everything was slowly coming together despite having no idea what I was doing myself. She helped me work on timelines, ensure I had all of my vendors set, and was instrumental in making my dream wedding come to life. I was complimented as being a very chill bride and I have to say that's mostly in part to Paige and being so incredible at her job. We did so much work up front and she knew my vision so I was able to trust her and watch it all come to life. The food itself is also incredible. Not only will the food and drinks taste amazing, but also the presentation of them is something your guests will rave about. To be greeted by the apple cider station (with the option to spike it) was a huge hit and great way to introduce our guests to our big day. The cocktail hour ran super smoothly and the food was a huge hit. I have never seen a larger piece of steak at a wedding reception and it was just as good as our tasting experience. One thing I was also very excited about was our cider donut wall. It was the perfect fall dessert for our guests to enjoy and also snag on their way out. Also shout out to Sarah from the catering staff who made sure the bride and groom's glasses were always full, we never had to go to the bar for a drink or food. I cannot recommend this caterer enough. I promise you will be in the best of hands and your guests will be blown away by the experience. If you book A Thyme to Cook, know that you're getting much more than a caterer, you're getting a vendor that will help walk you through the entire process and it's worth every penny.

I was very impressed with the service. My pet peeve is dirty dishes sitting in front of people and that did not happen! The wedding cake was delicious. I definitely recommend Emily's for your next event.

They were helpful, responsive, and everything was clear and upfront. There were no surprise charges, or "gotchas". In fact they did several things beyond the scope of the contract without additional charges. More importantly, on the wedding day everything went perfectly. They gave us great advice on the set up of the tables, chairs, bar etc. They listened carefully to everything that was asked of them, made a couple of outstanding suggestions and dealt with the problems caused by strong gusts of wind at an outdoor venue with calm assurance. All of the food was incredible. The hor's d'ourves were fantastic, especially the brie and artichoke tarts, mini lobster rolls and tuna tacos. The mac and cheese in mini ramekins were also a huge hit. The dinners were equally delicious. I had the half chicken, which was served with a delicious polenta. It was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, moist with a crispy skin. Other sides were served family style and were all fantastic. The dessert was also superb. Each guest received a trio of mini desserts, each of which was delightful. We had several guests with food restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free). The servers made sure the restrictions were observed, and they made it a point to bring appropriate appetizers to those guests, which was a very nice touch. All of the guests raved about the food. The service was also first class. There were so many servers handling the passed hor's d'ourves that every guest had multiple chances to try each of the offerings. Service of the dinner was equally impressive. The venue is outdoors, and it is a bit of a hike from the kitchen tent to the dining area. Despite that, the guests were served quickly, and the food came to the table still hot. Finally, their prices are quite reasonable, especially given the outstanding quality of the food and service. A very good value.

Our planner recommended them, and after comparing menus from other vendors, Blue Rocks stood out with their creative options and emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. We booked a tasting with our chosen dishes and were blown away--the food was better than restaurant quality, and our only hope was that they could replicate it on the big day. They absolutely delivered! The hand-passed appetizers on the Fort Adams lawn were a huge hit--especially the bacon-wrapped dates, scallops, and mini hot lobster rolls. Dinner was equally amazing, and impressively served hot and fresh despite the challenges of an outdoor venue. Our planner, who has attended countless tastings, even commented that it was some of the best catering she had ever experienced. Highly recommend Blue Rocks to cater your wedding or event, Katie was awesome, making everything easy and taking control over any and all requests, big or small! Thank you so much!

The ambiance of the restaurant is great, very warm rustic feel and I loved the look of the big windows at the back of the dining room with the springtime trees in bloom outside. Started with some cocktails and warm bread with olive oil. We decided on a margherita pizza to split as an appetizer along with some Parmesan fries. My boyfriend got gnocchi for his entree while I got eggplant Parmesan. Boyfriend really loved his gnocchi, he commented on how soft and pillowy it was and finished the whole bowl; he also gave me a bite of it and can also concur that the quality of the gnocchi they use is great. My eggplant parm was pretty good; not my favorite one that I've ever had, but still good. It's also a very sizable portion so I had plenty to take home. The pizza was probably the highlight of the meal for me, absolutely delicious and would definitely return for that pizza alone. We got a dessert special to go, and they also offer complimentary limoncello shots to finish off your time there. To top it all off, the service here was personable, attentive and overall excellent. This is definitely a place for us to always keep on our radar whenever we're in the area.
