The recording says you can avoid the hold time by sending a text. But that just gets lost in the ether. It also suggests going to the patient portal, but I had to talk to their IT specialist (in India!) just to get the account activated, and then when I did, the interface wouldn't allow me to send a message to the PCP no matter what I did. It kept forcing me to make an appointment, but when I did that, the appointment was never confirmed. They seem to want you to go to their urgent care clinic instead. This practice is badly managed and if you've got a serious problem you could end up in the hospital or worse before you get any help with it.

He explained everything well and answered all of my questions. He even let me know that it's difficult to find a pcp here in ma. He told me to come back to the er in the meantime if any problems arose (which thankfully I didn't need to) until I found a pcp. He told me to call around for a pcp and to take whatever next available appt was available, which ended up being 4 months later for me. This was my experience, yours could be different from mine.

I love NIM and don't know where I'd be without this clinic! It's one of the only allergy clinics in the country that does end-point-titration allergy-therapy, which makes such a big difference in successfully controlling my allergies. (I used to have to fly from Massachusetts to Dallas for end-point titration!) I've suffered in the past with terrible, debilitating autoimmune symptoms, which Dr Lynch--who actually cares, listens and works with me--helped me resolve with natural supplements, dietary adjustments, allergy shots, and minimal medications. The NIM staff is kind and efficient, and I believe it's no accident that there is low staff turnover. Some staff have been there for as long as I've been a patient.
