I sent a DM to the Instagram page letting them know I got food poisoning from the Fullerton location and I left it open ended so they didn't respond. I sent them an email instead letting them know about the situation and I would appreciate an email back acknowledging they received it. I was introduced to Taqueria De Anda recently because I wanted some street tacos. They load up your tacos with so much meat and they're always sure to ask if you want lime or jalapeños on the side. I'm a sucker for asada tacos so that's all I've gotten here but I'm sure their other selections are just as good. My go to salsa for the tacos here is their green sauce. The asada is so tender and flavorful and 4 tacos will cost you around $5 so pricing is pretty standard and def worth it for both the quality and quantity of food. Also ordered my 6 year old a bean and rice burrito with red salsa on the side (for me). He bit into his burrito and immediately started crying and said it was too spicy. I'm going to be dreaming about this dinner for a while, wow....I can't believe how good it was! I had a steak quesadilla and my girlfriend ordered a chicken quesadilla. Worth it. Al pastor tacos. Yes. This is my sister's absolute favorite taco place in Orange County. She usually goes to the Lake Forest location (where they have grilled shrimp), but we came to Santa Ana because it was closer to us at the time. During Covid, this location seemed pretty empty. However, this place definitely should have more foot traffic. While masks are "strongly recommended" for customers, the staff themselves all wear cloth face masks and gloves, and they place social distance markers where there used to be tables. My boyfriend got an $8 burrito filled with 100% meat, no rice. What a steal. My sister and I got 4 tacos each (less than $2 each) with mild salsa verde: 2 al pastor, 1 pollo, 1 carnitas. They tucked the tacos so beautifully in foil so that when we drove ~20 minutes home, they didn't need to be reheated. My favorite was definitely the al pastor taco, and I probably would get that exclusively next time. The other meats were a little too dry but still tasty. read more

I like my Mexican food simple. Meat, cilantro, onion, beans, salsa. I don't see the need for much else. That's why I love Taqueria de Anda. They offer two things: burritos and tacos. You pick the meat, they hook you up. There tacos, though small, are delicious because they prepare their meat well and they don't overwhelm you with too many extra ingredients. Their burritos never leave me unsatisfied. If you have not tried the wonders of cabeza (beef head), head over and have a beef head burrito. The meat is ridiculously tender and not super oily either. Their salsa has just the right amount of kick too! My only gripe would be that sometimes, the meat tastes like it's been sitting out a bit too long. I generally just ask what meat was the most recently cooked and order from there. Considering the volume of business they do at rush hour, it's a price I'm willing to pay to get my burrito fix. However, because they make so much at a time, it takes a toll on its freshness (a very small toll). Therefore, despite the fact I treat it as a five-star restaurant, my review can only be four. I've been to this specific location twice and until I tried looking for it here I had not realized there were so many other locations (if you're familiar with this area it's in the parking lot with Stater Bros.). My experience is much the same as others; amazement and glee at learning that you can order and ultimately devour a huge meat only burrito. The carnitas (that's the meat I order) are good and while the meat itself is fattening and delicious I don't see too many fatty parts mixed in with the meat. The only reason I did not rate it at a perfect 5 stars is because some of the workers there are a little rude. I understand that they feel there is a language barrier and generally treat non-Spanish speaking people as if they're slightly defective in the brain. I suppose they assume that if you're in Santa Ana you ought to know (or learn) Spanish. This kind of treatment generally results in me having to bust out my Spanish and only then do I get surprised, but slightly more courteous treatment. This taqueria is a sad little place. You can tell that they don't get many customers. I'm not sure if that's why they've stopped caring or if that's the reason why people don't eat here. It's one of those chicken or the egg conundrums. Anyways, we ended up here just b/c it was close to my step dad's work and he didn't have a lot of time. We also used to love the other Taqueria de Anda on 4th so we thought we would get the same food, so naive. We all ordered our usual tacos... when we got our plates we noticed that the tacos were tiny (2 medium sized bites and they're gone). To make matters worse the tortillas were glued to each other. Since they put them on the lightly greased grill, that is not supposed to happen. That probably means that they were sitting there forever before we walked in. Anyways, the lemons had big brown age spots and no juice in them at all, the radishes were just another ancient thing at this sad little place. Even my mom was complaining and she almost never complains.
