A newly remodeled yummy Mexican restaurant. We came here to celebrate my dad's birthday and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing with a beautiful presentation and the service was unbeatable. They were attentive, friendly and polite. We would definitely come back.

Went here for the first time to watch the World Cup and had the best time! The environment was so welcoming from the host who sat us to the bartenders, owners, and everyone in the building as a whole. The food and drinks were amazing and they even did raffles throughout the game & gave out candy and little prizes it was so cute. First time ever going there and was blown away by the level of hospitality and kindness they showed us. Will definitely be back! Thank you Nancy!!

Great service! We were sat immediately and the waitress was very attentive. Ordered the enchiladas coloradas; chicken was flavorful and juicy! Beans had great flavor! Good portions; not too much. Tortillas were not overcooked like other places. Could have used more cheese. Ordered the shrimp style mojo de ajo. The shrimp had great flavor and the escabeche added even more delicious flavors! I kind of wish the shrimp were a little bit bigger. But it did come with a good portion. Overall, I would love to come by again!

Great place for dinner! Was craving Mexican so came here with some friends. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. Service was quick and our server was very kind and helpful. Its quite roomy with Tvs and a stage so it's a good place to enjoy yourself and take your time eating. Would be happy to dine here again in the future.

With good atmosphere, good service, and OK to great food of mostly decent value, Casa Ramos is a good choice for Mexican type food in the Santa Ana area. We met our family friends closer to their house for a couple of reasons: for them to advise us on possible flooring choices for our kitchen remodel, but mainly to see our daughter while she was in town for a quick visit. We didn't want the visit to end after Floor and Decor, so decided to find a nearby restaurant to hang out. None of us were particularly hungry since all of us had lunch and it was too early for dinner..but the name of this restaurant resonated with us, and with the good reviews, convinced everyone to come. They have a dedicated small parking lot and both cars were able to find spots on a mid-Sunday afternoon. We were greeted warmly and they put together two tables for our party of six. Complementary chips and a good, thin salsa were provided (they kept on replenishing it by request). The chips were freshly fried and delicious. Two wineariatas (mangonada and maracuya=passionfruit) were ordered ($9.36 each) over the rocks and enjoyed. I got a horchata ($4.68) which was refreshing. Mom got a Coke, which ended up being a regular size Mexican Coke in a bottle ($5.20 ... enough for two glasses). We tried to do a lot of sharing: 3 dip sample ($14.56) - guacamole, queso suave, chorizo bean dip. Continued to use the fresh complementary chips. Each dip was really good, would definitely have no problem bringing this to any party needing finger foods. Casa platter ($21.84 for small portions of buffalo wings, nachos, cheese quesadilla, and taquitos) - solid Pork Belly Tacos ($18.72) - 3 street size tacos, each with a slice of deep fried pork belly. This is what they are known for. My daughter really liked it; I thought my meat was way over-fried resulting in some very hard and dry bites. Shrimp Tacos ($19.76) - 3 street size tacos, with small amount of shrimps topped beautifully. The taste was good, just wish there was more meat. The two taco platters came with a very good rendition of Mexican rice, OK frijoles de la oila. The various toppings (crema, salsa, guac) were obviously freshly made and chilled. We finished it off by sharing one fried ice cream ($10.40), covered in corn flakes with a good dense vanilla ice cream in the middle. It was just the right amount for the six of us to taste a sample, and have the ice cream lovers (with enough room in their stomach) to completely finish it. The inside dining area is really nice, with plenty of space between tables, and appropriate background music. Service was great throughout: friendly and attentive. There is either a 4% surcharge or a 3.8% discount (depending on how you look at it) for paying with cash vs credit card. Tax is 9.255% for Santa Ana. Mom treated us, but let me have the receipt.

Super amazing food with amazing mg service. Went in to check this place out for the first time with my partner. Got myself fish taco plate that comes with 3 tacos red rice & beans with a pina colada drink which I also loved. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for Mexican food they got everything . Traveling for work trying this place out! The chips are hot when they hit the table and the salsa is the right amount of heat and great flavor. Ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, the meat was really tender and veggies were delicious. The beans reminded me of the beans my friend's mom always had in her kitchen whenever I came over as a kid. Cozy little spot. And the service was prompt and very friendly. Definitely would come back if work sent me here again.

I got this food catered to my work. I had high expectations since the reviews are so good! Sadly it was just okay. The dressing on the salad was pretty good and the salad itself was fresh. The chicken in the tacos were a little dry. The rice and beans seemed authentic but again, no real flavor. The salsas and the pickled vegetables were fresh. Overall just okay food- not worth an another order.

We went here given the high Yelp review scores. However, I think I may have ordered the wrong item. I usually love to go for the enchiladas but I was feeling soup and had the 7 mares caldo. Highly recommend to skip. The broth was not flavorful and the seafood tasted newly defrosted. My friend had the carne asada and cheese enchiladas and he did like his dish. Casual. Small lot and Street parking only, although you can probably park at the Superior market across the street. Inside seating. Good service. Please come and creat your own experience.

Loved them ! Service was awesome, friendly and they checked up on us. I thought it was the first time there but I forgot I had them cater us before lol oops but both times delicious Me and my sister agreed we would visit again

    Kailyn W.

I came here with my family for my mom's birthday and enjoyed it! I got the margarita flight to start and my girlfriend and I enjoyed all the flavors. The chips and salsa were amazing. We came during happy hour and they had really great deals for happy hour! We tried the taquitos on the happy hour menu which were delicious. We also got the pork belly tacos, but those were not my favorite. The pork belly had too much cartilage in it, and it sadly did not live up to my expectations. The service was great for having a few larger parties in the restaurant. Our server kept our water refilled and cleared any dishes promptly. I would be back here but not for the pork belly tacos.

Yummy fresh food and delicious cocktails. The owner and staff are just wonderful. It's a small family owned restaurant but definitely give them a try.

Good first visit here. Wait staff was friendly and portions were large. I had the chicken enchilada. Only negative was that the dish was not very warm.

I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey. When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

My party arrived here at 12 for a 12:15pm reservation on a Saturday and was pleasant to be seated early. Otherwise, there's some outdoor shaded space for you relax with your party before getting seated. We were here with our toddler, and the Qua team accommodated by not only offering a high chair, but also plastic utensils, plates, and even a plastic mat to avoid mess at the table. We were overwhelmed with the options available, but narrowed down to a few. They offer anything from dim sum, appetizers and the typical carb and meat dishes available at any chinese restaurants. Good thing is that their plates tend to be on the smaller side so you can over order slightly without feeling too guilty. A few dishes to highlight: - Crab roe noodles - it's traditionally eaten with noodles but they do offer it with rice. I like that it's not as oily or as pungent as the ones I've had in China, it feels a bit less heavy/healthier. - Siu mai - somehow, the texture of the ground pork inside is different. It taste more like shredded meat than ground meat, which is interesting (not better or worse) - Fried rice was amazing We also ordered the crab and egg glass noodle (forgot exactly what it's called), but found the noodles to be too dry. It has good wok hei, but the glass noodle soaked up all the moisture in the dish and it was too dry to eat. Overall, amazing experience. If it weren't over an hour drive to get here I'd come back more often!
