I don't know how I've not been to this establishment sooner. I came today for brunch and it must've been my lucky day cause they partnered with Panecito who were giving away free roscas to the first 100 people. For brunch my foodie partner and I got a Paloma with Don Julio to start. Their chips and salsa were also top notch. For the main courses we got the chile divorciado and the chilaquiles adding al pastor with the eggs sunny side up. Both were so delicious. I like that their portions are perfectly sized. No excess amount of chips or rice/beans. Service from Alejandro was excellent which made the whole brunch experience that much better. The interior is small and dimly lit, but the acoustics are great so the Latin music that was playing is heard very well and kept the place lively. De La Baja Fish Tacos ($22): Yes, please! Easily goes on my list of some of the best fish tacos I've ever had, hearty too, hands down, absolutely delicious!! Also, though our amazing server warned that they were super spicy, no worries, I can definitely handle the heat, and I did while enjoying every single bite, with a smile! Haha! I took the other taco to go & happily enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning!! Customer Service: Top-of-the-line, attentive & then some! Pretty strong drinks (also pretty overpriced), free chips & salsa and they play loud Spanish music so if that's the vibe then come here if you're in downtown Santa Ana. We got 2 specialty/flavored margaritas, ribeye tacos & shrimp tacos. I got the passion fruit margarita and it was okay. It was more sour/lime forward than passion fruit tasting to me. I wish I got more of the passion fruit flavor but it was strong. The shrimp tacos were a pretty big portion - they said this is one of their most popular items. It's fried shrimp with slaw, pico de gallo, pickled onions & chipotle sauce. They overdid the chipotle sauce a bit. The tacos were pretty good though but I wouldn't say they were worth the price tag they came with. The ribeye tacos came with beans and rice. The rice was a bit dry and the beans were okay. The ribeye was cooked well but the mushroom component was unnecessary and kind of threw it off. Overall, this place was decent but not worth what they're charging. read more

We visited the area to check out a restaurant that was hyped up majorly however after waiting 5 hours and it was getting late we decided to try another spot. We came upon Amor Y Tequila and we are so happy we did! It's such a CUTE bar that serves genuinely amazing bar food and drinks. Super good food on a Sunday for brunch with Bottomless Mimosas! This day they had a live Mariachi Band playing from table to table and took requests if they knew the songs. A very busy and very loud night, people were celebrating and having fun (so that tells you something about Amor y Tequila, right?). Service was stellar, by Alejandro (our very attentive waiter), not to mention the bartender, and busboy, checking with us several times throughout the evening. First time here. We came about 40 minutes right before the restaurant turns into a club. It became extremely loud with a live DJ playing a mix of R&B, throwback oldies, and Mexican cultural music with music videos in the background. I enjoyed the music but it became a little too loud to hold a conversation. You're practically yelling across the table (given the club environment) which is fun to dance to. It all depends on what you are looking for. It looked like they are known for their margaritas so we ordered a flight of them to try a variety. All of them are very tasty and refreshing. Parking: Since this is located in downtown Santa Ana, you'll likely have to pay for either metered parking or park in the structure.
