Stopped for lunch after getting a haircut next door. Barber highly recommended stopping there great recommendation. I had two beef tacos that were fully loaded a lot more than any taco you would get from Taco Bell. . Tacos are $4.00 each and well worth it. Many other items on the menu will have try in the future. Clean little drive-thru place serving some tasty authentic TexMex for breakfast, lunch, dinner. They're open between 6 and 10 daily and just announced they'll stay open another hour on Friday. (That's 11 pm for the folks who flunked math at Temple High.) I had two Al Pastor tacos, one on flour and the other corn for sampling purposes. Both very good, dressed with cilantro and onion as any proper taco would be. Burritos, plates, soups, and salads are available as is beer and micheladas. I tried both salsas, roja y verde. The green was my favorite with a kick and nice afterburn that wasn't overwhelming. Give this spot a try, and sit outside in a nice day. read more

Super convenient drive-thru taqueria spot! It's nice to have a place like this and not needing to get outta the car. Compliments to them on their humongous Jamaica drinks. They came in really handy after catching the cold or flu. Care for that illness too with their caldo de rez. The selections we've tried so far have proven to be satisfying. They make lots of the ingredients while waiting. It's worth the few minutes. We highly recommend their green sauce for clearing out sinuses. I think at this point it's safe to say we are lucky to have this comfort food place just around a few corners nearby! read more

Best Mexican food I have had in Temple. No other place in this genre will get my money from this day forward. The website for take out orders is on point, the offerings are well thought out and perfect...from the guacamole to the beans and everything in-between, and seasoning is perfect. This is a taco "stand" so there is no inside seating, but there is covered tables outside. Not an issue for me...I live 2 miles away and am happy to order out and eat in the comfort of my home. We have eaten here daily for the last 3 days and don't feel the need to change anything tonight. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Let me say this...the food was very good and what I got (a pastor taco and a birria taco) was reasonably priced. Some items did look pretty pricey though. Now...service. Walked up to the window. When the music is blaring so loud you can't hear a word the staff is saying and they get visibly frustrated when you have to have them repeat things...not enjoyable. Delicious tacos, they really hit the spot. I ordered the plate that has 3 tacos de asada and 3 al pastor. Home made tortillas with a generous amount of meat. Cilantro and sweet grilled onions to top them and don't forget the lime. I washed them down with a refreshing agua de jamaica. Service was so bad this last visit, Beer was expired and they couldnt find a replacement so instead gave my husband back a $5 bill when the beer was $5.75 plus tax, No salsa for 20 tacos either! Hopefully, they are still amigos after serving arguably the worst tacos in town. Bad food slow service. Grumpy slow employee made me repeat myself like 3 times at the drive thru and then again at window. Are you sure the 5 stars given were the right business? I feel bad for folks that this is best Tex Mex they've had..... We waited like 45 minutes and probably burned a gallon of gas for awful food. Crispy tacos had some strange tasting mystery horse meat. Janky, to say the least. After that pitiful sight, the al pastor tacos and asada tacos, while visually appealing, failed my taste buds miserably. Cold charro beans had more broth than beans. The rubbery chicharron was swimming in icy cold broth. The quesa birria had some kind of bland shredded resemblance of meat loaded with grease, cheap cheese, and disappointment. It was missing the consumé. The only decent thing that didn't get trashed was my icy cold, Dr. Pepper. This spot has so much potential, and the extremely slow service would have been worth the wait had they served decent food. Do yourself a favor and pass thru Temple and go to Taco Palenque in Round Rock. It's definitely worth the hunger pain of waiting; and leaps and bounds running -circles-around-this- joint better. I was so happy to see this place was right on my way home from work after working long nights and was hoping to be able to grab a quick bite on way home. The first time I went the man at the window was very friendly and the food was good, so I decided to try breakfast. I went and a pregnant woman was taking my order in the drive thru. I do not speak spanish. I ordered two breakfast tacos and she thought I said burritos and had me repeat it. Then she didnt understand when I said "nopalitos" with an English accent so I had to repeat it and say "cactus." She did speak very good english so I don't know how she couldn't understand me. I had to repeat my order several times. When I got to the window she was very rude and barely acknowledged me and was too busy speaking to another person on her headset about personal business. She did look at me to ask if I wanted red or green sauce and I said yes. She then handed me my food without saying one word to me and closed the glass in my face. I will not be eating here again. I could have been a repeat customer as I pass by on the way home every day. The food tastes like it is straight out of a can and I can make it better at home. Even if the food was "ok" I would have enjoyed stopping back by but after the rude service I will not be going there again. read more

This place really had a lot of potential i was hype to try a new spot. But i was disappointed when my food came back and it awful. I had ordered a 3 taco combo and i was let down.. The taco shell was hard and greasy and every time i took a bite the grease would fall on my clothes and drop down my chin and burnt me too by how hot it was.. and the cheese was clumped up and tasted weird. And then the rice didn't really have any flavor to it like the seasoning was left out... The service wasn't all that i had to keep saying my order over and over again for me and my friend. and it felt like i was waiting forever for my food to be handed to me and it wasn't worth the wait or money spent on anything i brought to eat. read more
