From a small little taco truck this food tastes absolutely amazing. I love tripas, and I'm so happy that this taco stand has that meat. They also ask you if you want it soft, medium, or crispy. I have tried it three different ways and I love every single one of them. The service is good and you can tell your orders are made with love. They have ample seating right in front of their food truck, which is adjacent to a waterpark. Such a great location with even better food. read more

These street tacos were pretty good. I got a Pompes Plate, which comes with five tacos of the same meat. I chose al pastor, and the tacos were flavorful with onions and a side of a piece of pineapple. These tacos were really small, so the plate wasn't really enough for a full meal for me or the others in my group. The plate was about $11. read more

After the game we were looking for some food. We were told that this establishment was amazing. So had to check it out. Upon arrival the restaurant was a food truck with outside sitting . The weather was great so outside sitting was great, and the lighting outside was nice. Ordering was quick and the food also came out immediately. My tacos were delicious, I didn't think the tacos would be enough but I was wrong. They put an ample amount of protein in the tacos . The cup of charro beans were delicious too. I left this place with a full belly. Upon visiting Belton again in will definitely try this food truck again. My opinion, the prices were a little high for tacos but they were delicious. read more

This food truck is a gem. Traditional Mexican style tacos. Corn tortillas, cilantro, and onion. The prices are very reasonable. The food was fresh and tasty. Tried Buche for the first time and it was pleasantly crispy and delicious. There is ample seating outside with shade umbrellas. The service was great- very friendly staff. I can't lie ...... i secretly ordered this place on DoorDash without my wife knowing BUT, when i found out they were coming with PRESSURE and i do mean PRESSURE BIRRIA TACOS I HAD TO PRDER AGAIN TO MAKE SURE!!!!!!! The first time i got one birria tacos and a chicken fajita torta to just test the waters and when i tell you the waters were ALKALINE!!!!! I DEFINITELY MEAN IT . Taco was seasoned well but not too much , consome was perfect... and when i say "perfect"...... i..... mean......PERFECT!!! Love the Pastor tacos, by far my favorite and go to when I can afford to eat out. Not the best street tacos I have had but by far the best I have had anywhere I have visited in Bell County. Ordered the Quesabirria plate once and they didn't have consume. They replaced it with a cup of the beans (good beans but not the same). They should have informed me when I placed the order, not when I picked up the order. Aside from this experience, great pastor street tacos. read more

Amazing tacos! The pastor tacos were my favorite! The quesabirria were good too but the pastor were amazing!! The green sauce was my favorite while my husband's was the red sauce. Highly recommend this taco place! The lady taking our order was very nice and helpful! This place is more up and down than a roller coaster. When it's good it's one of the best hands-down places in Bell County. The few times that it's been bad there is a man at the window that takes the money that for whatever reason that crew doesn't cook as good or prepare the food like the original. On Monday night August 12th approx. 6:00 p.m. we had a to-go order of mini fajita Taco plates and charro beans. Taco meat was not fresh and was reheated with very crunchy pieces and dark in color and the beans had a very sour vinegar ketchup kind of flavor and made us gag before throwing it in the trash. A few weeks ago on a Sunday night it was the original crew and it was absolutely delicious. I think the owner should really pay attention to this either retrain the people that are not as good as the original or getting new crew that can handle. Charging customers full price and giving them old food is unacceptable not to mention dangerous because they can get sick..... read more

Great burritos in a cute park with reasonable prices. After being caught in a terrible bout of traffic on 35 I decided to stop in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I had a beef fajitas burrito with their spicy red sauce and the portion size was perfect. Meat was well seasoned and delicious. And the red sauce was perfectly spicy. Great little find. read more

This unassuming food truck serves up some of the best Mexican food in the area in my opinion. Absolutely love the chicken burrito plate! Order it with everything (con todo). You'll get a large burrito with delicious grilled, diced chicken, avocado, caramelized onions, cheese and a grilled pepper on the side. Be sure to order an horchata to quell the heat from the pepper if you choose to add to your burrito! Don't miss out on this food truck. Listen, when the aliens come and ask why they should explode the earth, we are going to hand them the Al Pastor tacos, with the pineapple, some cilantro and some onions. We will be safe. Honorable mention go to both the beef and chicken fajita, the barbacoa, and the carnitas. The salsa doesn't really do it for me, but every taco is outstanding. It's a taco truck, it doesn't need chips and salsa. read more

This is an Austin quality taco truck at Belton level prices. $8.99 for five tacos and a drink of your choice--hard to beat that. The tacos are small... but still big enough to make it a good deal. The buche, al pastor, barbacoa, and chorizo were all excellent, served with caramelized onions, a grilled pineapple ring for the al pastor, and some tasty salsas as well. The green was ordinary, but the red was excellent. These weren't the best I've ever had, but they were pretty darn good, definitely a surprise coming out of Waco road in Belton. For those who aren't from the area, South Austin is pretty much the top spot for Mexican food in the area. I work throughout Austin and the Houston corridor, and this reminded me of that. Even compared to street tacos from Mexico proper they hold their own. I don't know what it is, but I love rolling up to eat Mexican food at gas stations, in parking lots, and out of the way corners. Ambiance: five out of five. I was greeted in a friendly manner, and the lady at the window got my long taco order correct, which is quite a feat! Service: five out of five. read more

I feel like it's cheating because I just called another establishments tacos the best, but I hadn't had Los Compadres yet XD Oh how wrong I was! But for real this time. My husband and I were in town this weekend and searched Yelp for the best Mexican food (on a budget) and we decided on Los Compadres, we're so glad that we did! I personally can't stand onions, so my street tacos are served as meat and cheese only. Because of this I usually feel let down by street tacos, but not this go around. The meat was so flavorful, and the price couldn't be better! My husband got the 4 taco plate with beans and a soda, I got the 5 taco plate with a soda, and we kept it under $20! Excellent consistency. Love that the corn tortillas are toasted up a bit. The salsas are incredible. Love the heat they have. The horchata drink is wonderful as well. Also got uncharged for meat that we didn't ask for, wanted regular shredded chicken not chicken fajita, this was also told to the waitress when ordering and cooked wrong. Also make sure if you're paying with a credit card, have them take off the non-cash adjustment. They automatically put it on the checks, and unless you know about it, they will still charge you it.

I recently visited this establishment to order takeout. As a parent managing multiple children, I made my order clear, repeating it twice: a few tacos and a small quesadilla. Upon returning home, I found the order was incomplete. This place is not family-friendly. If you have the time to double-check your order, it might be okay, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.
