Authentic and delicious food. They recently opened a second location in Wildwood that was formerly the Wild Burrito. The tortillas are homemade and the tacos are generously stuffed. We ordered the quesabirria that included 4 huge birria and cheese tacos with a delicious consommé for dipping. We also ordered the tacos combo which consisted of a combo of 9 tacos (chorizo, steak, and chicken). It came with a quart of juice that they make in house. We chose the watermelon which was tasty. The tacos were big but the steak and chicken were very dry but nothing some of their homemade sauces couldn't help make better. Overall, this is probably our latest go to place for birria and tacos. My father and I tried Taqueria El Azteca's new location on Ocean Ave. in Wildwood and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and taken to our table. You can tell that the owners went to great lengths to renovate and fill out their new space because it is so nice, new and clean inside. To start, my father and I each enjoyed the Watermelon drink. It tasted fresh and naturally sweet. My father ordered the Azteca Taco Al Pastor and received 3 overstuffed pork al pastor tacos. The tortillas were homemade and were very filling. I enjoyed an order of the Noodles Birria (Birria Beef Ramen) and it was phenomenal. A very creative fusion dish that was perfect for a cold winter day. All in all, we're very happy to see that Taqueria El Azteca is doing well enough to open their second location and we'll be enjoying their delicious cuisine again soon! read more

Came here for dinner with a group of friends after seeing good reviews on Google hoping for some great tacos. When we pulled up, our server was very friendly and personable. I ordered street tacos and got two beef tongue and two shrimp tacos (street tacos give you four tacos, but it costs $1 for each different kind of taco you get). The tacos were honestly fairly average. They were hardly seasoned, so I had to lather them with the hot sauce they provided. I am going to give a honest review and I won't sugar coat it, originally I was going to leave a 4 start review for the ridiculous amount of waiting for the food to be delivered to us. But I can assure you the wait is definitely worth it, the workers there are extremely kind. And the food was phenomenal, this place seems very well established and the culture is there. This is a great new restaurant. I've been here twice so far and I loved everything. The shrimp tacos I ate were delicious and filling. The service was also very quick, I was in and out within a half hour! My favorite dish though was the Birria Mix. It came with 3 different types of dishes alongside a delicious birria dip for the tacos. I saw on the menu it came with "noodles birria". I wasn't sure what that was until I started dipping into the birria and found a neat surprise. There were ramen noodles submerged in the birria dip! Mind blown.
