After going out to a restaurant with my in laws where the only vegan item (aside from lettuce) was potato wedges (the bun of the beyond burger had butter ), I'm absolutely loving that The Wild Burrito had over 8 vegan options. We got the breakfast burrito, avocado fries and kids cheese quesadilla, and I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have stolen more bites of my toddler's meal. They also have non-vegan options, and my omni husband enjoyed that as well. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Three stars for fresh ingredients but this place is forgettable. They do offer a lot of vegan choices but unfortunately, they are probably the worst part of the menu. My daughter ordered the vegan buffalo burrito which had no buffalo sauce flavor and a fake chicken that literally tasted like rubber tires. She took one bite and said she couldn't bear to eat it. I tried it and felt the same way and then finally my wife took a taste and then off to the garbage it went. Luckily, we had some other things to eat such as the vegetarian nachos which were tasty and a nice sized portion and also the veggie burrito which was very good but could use some more sauce or salsa as it was a bit dry. The NJ craft been battered fish tacos were good and probably our favorite thing we ordered but they didn't "wow" us. The vegan Bhan Mi burrito was not that good either. We had a similar experience a few years ago eating at this restaurant and scratched it off our list. However, we recently saw some decent reviews and decided to give it another shot but unfortunately it was just the same as it was a few years back. Meh. It pains me to leave a below average review but this is truly barely average. You can't go in and order, only on the app or tablets outside. But you can eat inside, so I don't get this "system". Anyway, don't get the grilled fish tacos. Waaaaay overpriced for a piece of fish smaller than a chicken nugget and a tiny spoonful of a "mango slaw" which was good - but is just coleslaw with a few bits of mango. Tacos completely fell apart from the soaking wet slaw I ate them with a fork. Carnitas tacos was loaded with so much pickled onion that was all we could taste. Chips and guac are good. 2 stars for that, friendly staff, and self serve free refill soda. Sadly we were disappointed and won't be going back. :( read more

Would not go back. Was there last Thursday and the person at the counter was clearly new and couldn't answer any questions regarding allergens on the menu. Honestly wasn't even sure if they were open when we walked in. Got a couple burritos and chips & salsa, bill was over $38.00. Chips weren't fresh and had zero salt. Burritos were bland and mostly filled with rice and beans. The El Pastor was particularly disappointing as the filling was all mush, no texture and certainly no pineapples. Bought fountain sodas and didn't even drink them b/c the soda machine had mold in the ice shoot & bottom area. Sad that this is one of the only places noted in WW that you could go to if allergens are a concern. read more

Became vegan a couple of years ago. Not going to get into that because who cares really haha. That being said, it's difficult to find vegan options down Wildwood. Sure you can adjust almost anything to make it that way, but to have places that have dedicated vegan options are few and far between. We discovered this place a couple of years ago and it's our go to every year now when we come down. Even thought there are only a couple of options, quesadillas, nachos and avocado fries, they're all a great pick. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are on the larger size and it's delicious. For the price, you can't beat it. Even the non vegan options are the same-large portions, and delicious. Did I mention that it's delicious?! Haha. We were happy to see that they're still in business because if you're a regular down Wildwood you know businesses come and go. This place is a testament to their staying power and I hope they are around for many years to come. We will be down this weekend and we will definitely be there. You can order online, or if you want to sit outside you can use the iPad type machine and order your food and pay and they'll bring it out to you. Not much of a table service type place; you can order inside and they'll call your number out and you grab from the counter and there's a fountain machine to get your own soda. Pretty much a casual place that serves good food at decent prices. And you can watch them make your food-they make mostly everything up at the front counter behind a glass-think like Subway type setup. This is not a bad place. The chicken burrito was really good and had plenty of flavor. The beef on the other hand barely had any seasoning or flavor. The chips were thick with no salt and the salsa had no tomato flavoring. The service was pretty good our food came out in less than 5-10 minutes. The inside is okay too, plenty of seating napkins and sauce at each table. This is a good spot for a quick burrito and tacos. read more

One of our favorite places to eat by far! We usually get the spicy hot ghost pepper sauce or other really adventurous sauces here and delicious fresh handmade guacamole here. All of the dishes we tried were very delicious such as chicken burrito, cheesesteak burritos and quesadillas. We ended up here on holiday weekend and liked it so much on Saturday night decided to come back on Sunday for a lunch. Burrito was huge, and had pork and chorizo inside It was called three wild pigs. When I heard Wild Burrito had avocado fries it was a must try for this avocado loving vegetarian! The building is hard to miss. It is bright purple and green with ample picnic bench seating outside and a roomy, casual interior seating area, too. The inside was relatively clean and organized looking. It's definitely a casual spot right across from the boardwalk/beach. They offer eat in, take out and delivery services. They claim to even deliver to the beach! The servers were all friendly and courteous. The menu offers lots of choices for vegetarians and vegans. I am a vegetarian and found many items I would have ordered. I thought the avocado fries were even better than I had imagined them to be! One $6 order contained approximately a full avocado cut up into different sized pieces with a chipotle dipping sauce. So yummy! I ordered veggie nachos which were very good and fresh. My fiancé, who is a lover of all things spicy, ordered the Ghost Pepper Mango burrito. It is a huge burrito! He was able to eat about a fifth of the burrito before needing to stop due to the heat. I have only one other time been witness to him not able to continue eating something spicy. This was super spicy not only due to the ghost pepper but also the raw jalapeño slaw inside the burrito. This is a perfect Man vs. Food challenge. I feel like if anyone can finish this burrito they deserve a free T-shirt or something. He commented that the chicken inside the burrito was especially flavorful. Pro tip- While they do not serve/sell beer they offer a craft beer exchange program. Bring a craft beer and take a craft beer! Leave your craft beer in their refrigerator, browse and select from other craft beer left behind. What an awesome idea! read more

Get a burrito! There are so many to choose from. I ordered the Ghost Mango Burrito. Despite the warnings from the menu and the in the actual restaurant, I took the risk and do not regret anything. If you want to try the Ghost Mango, I recommend it to people who love spicy. If you do not love spicy, you may throw it out. The chips are good too but I was not a huge fan of their salsa. After having salsa in Southern California, it is hard to go back to North Eastern soupy red sauce labeled "salsa." My fiance got the chicken burrito with avocado fries, and she loved it! My family and I thought that this was the beat place to eat in Wildwood during our stay. The interior of the restaurant however is VERY bare. There is not alot of personality. It is pretty much just a room with burrito ingredients and a cash register. I recommend ordering it as takeout and finding a place on the boardwalk where at least you get a nice view. read more

I was at Wildwood on vacation and decided to check this place out at the request of my girlfriend. My daughter and I both got burritos. She didn't like hers cause it was bland. I ordered the ghost pepper burrito, which was supposed to be superhot, but I really wonder who would find this that hot? I went into it thinking it might be like Buffalo Wild Wings hotter wings, but it was not. It was not even close! I have had run of the mill hot wings that were hotter than that! Also, the burritos themselves were mostly beans and rice with very little meat present. So yes, they are huge, but filled with cheap beans and rice and low on meat. If bland burritos filled with a gang of rice and beans appeals to you, then thus place might be right up your alley. My girlfriend got the el pastor tacos, they were very small; 3 of these will not fill the average person up. As for the taste, I have had better. read more

Disappointed! As a local I have driven by many times, and thought I want to try the Wild Burrito! Finally last week I was looking for somewhere new to try lunch, and I remembered, although now I wish I had forgotten. The menu is large, with something available for everyone. The dining room is comfortable, although there were a few dead flies, which irks me as the floor should e swept and cleaned every night. The problem here is flavor, we ordered the hard tacos which had no flavor in the meat and the shells were stale. My g/f actually said make at home box tacos are better. I had the El Pastor burrito, and I felt the ingredients were not placed in the shell correctly. I had all black beans in the first bite, and didn't get to the pork til the end. Again the flavor was missing. We started with the chips and salsa, and once again the salsa had no flavor, I added salt and pepper which made it a little better but if you're specialty is burritos you should have an amazing salsa! They do offer a unique, craft beer exchange as without a liquor license you cannot sell beer, so here you bring a craft beer can or bottle to place in the cooler and you can take one. I'd love to see this place survive but something needs added...flavor! read more

First, the food is very good. Nothing remotely similar to the Mexican franchise institutional and commercially cooked meals. Second, the staff is friendly. But this place is a mess on a few levels. The kiosk where you order is fine, until you go to pay by credit card. Every single person who ordered right before us and right after us couldn't tell if the payment went through. I ordered avocado fries and the coating was terrific! Plus, you could taste the creamy yet firm inside avocado slice. My vegetarian burrito was also an excellent choice. Several in my party remarked the guacamole was among the best we've ever had... But... The place is messy...uncleared tables, stuff on floor. No visible organization with chairs just left anywhere--sort of like a middle school cafeteria after lunch was over. We were ordering takeout. It took over a half hour of us standing around to get our order. There is no waiting area and this is counter/cafeteria style ordering, so our group of five was constantly in the way of staff and customers. A very friendly employee offered us two free items which he said were made extra--this was very generous of him and helped to soothe the irritation of the long wait. Would I go here again? Ordered avocado fries. The crust is tasteless, oh except for being burnt. That you could taste. My fish tacos were the worst I've ever had. Please refer to the picture. A literal nugget of mahi mahi per taco. Which has no flavor at all. The so called jalapeno slaw was good but not enough to pay $11 for that nugget of fish. And I may have misread but I thought they were fried. Boyfriend had the carnitas burrito. It was huge. But somehow amongst all those ingredients there was no flavor. We doused everything in the Chipotle ranch dipping sauce. Over $30 for this uninspired meal...but the worst was yet to come. This is a dine in/take out establishment folks. There is no restroom. What there is, is a port a potty feet away from the kitchen door and outdoor dining tables. Now I'm sure this is acceptable or up to code or whatever but I was A. Skeeved and B. Uncomfortable. The 4G Burrito is amazing ! Came here for Dinner on Wednesday night, then for Lunch on Thursday, fully satisfied. Their vegetarian nachos are also excellent. The avocado fries were something I had never heard of and was curious to try, which I did with Chipotle ranch and I was in awe. As a vegetarian it's often difficult to find places who are vegetarian friendly and I'm so thrilled to have come across this one on my family getaway. To start, we walk in the door to a sign. "1. Table service-please pick a table to your left. 2. Take out/self service- please order at tablets to your right. So we sat down and waited...and waited...and waited. Figured we did something wrong. So we headed to the tablets to order. After ordering we needed to walk thru the restaurant, tripping over chairs and walking around tables just to pay for food. Fountain drink table was gross, the floor had a huge puddle (no wet floor sign). Someone finally came over to tell us we could sit down (about 10 mins of standing around) When the food came out it was bland, I mean no flavor! Very disappointed! This place gets Gluten Free in Wildwood Crest with Designated fryers....Woohoo! Food was really great and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The guacamole was perfectly made, not too smooth and just the right amount of clumps with crunchy chips they make themselves. Wings were prepared perfectly and so were the gluten free chicken fingers. Gluten free Quesadilla's were yummy. Our group sampled many tasty items and we all enjoyed it. Not all of us are gluten free and the ones that weren't said the Burritos were really good! They also have gluten free brownies that everyone enjoyed, however we weren't daring enough to taste the ghost chili brownies tonight as we were told they were extra hot.......ouch!! This place also delivers! They do mostly take out however there are two booths inside and picnic tables outside. BYOB! The first year these guys opened it was amazing. Last year, it was only ok. If they're busy, don't even bother going. The LINES were crazy and even after you got a table, we waited 40 min just for them to bring out chips and salsa. Sat for roughly 10/15 minutes with no service or acknowledgement and decided to order at the iPad. My husband and I ordered separately, grabbed a table number and sat down. After 15/20 mins my husbands tacos were served, normal serving time so no biggie. although we watched as they took less than three minutes to make. I realized they likely forgot about my food when 15 mins later my husband is done with his food and the cook is on his phone behind the counter. I ask if it went through, and he finds my order in the system and apologizes and quickly makes them. It happens, but not a great first experience. Flash forward to food. Keep your condiments close. Husband had beef tacos, I had gluten free chicken quesadilla. Both looked amazing, but unfortunately had zero flavor which was really odd. Even the cheese was bland. Many options for hot sauce so that was a plus. One 6inch gluten free quesadilla for $10, not really worth it in my opinion, but I eat a lot. The one positive take away which I find very important was that the cook was very careful in the gluten free preperation. He had a separate area for cooking and separately cooked ingredients. Go some where else! My experience with the owner and restaurant staff was horrible. I ordered a simple burrito using their automated ordering system, paid for my order and then waited over 25 mins. I had to walk inside and inquire about my order. The staff couldn't find my order their system. The seemed understaffed and bewildered. Surely, I'll find a better restaurant that knows what customer service is all about. They told me that they'd refund me credit card. read more
