The Grumpy's Mad Burrito de asada literally had no asada ‍

When we first walked in no one was at the counter , then when the hostess showed up she was very rude . The place was super empty but yet tables we're dirty while waitress is nowhere to be found . The food was decent, but lacked having any meat. Honestly this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant, would not recommend. worst 80 bucks I spent

We ordered (2) Queso Birrieria plates, it came with 2 queso burrieria and consume. It was good and filling, but it was a bit pricey. The host/cashier/ waitress was very nice and friendly. We had a good experience just a tad more than we wanted to spend. It was New Year's Eve so it was a bit slow, but it wasn't busy or loud, and we enjoyed our food.

I love this place and have been here a handful of times with friends. I love their quesad-birrieria. Tasty each time and filling. Lots of parking and sitting space! The owners are nice and easy to talk too.

Wow--what an incredible find. We had a friend visiting from out of town (all the way from Wenatchee by way of Texas), and decided it was worth the trek across South Seattle to Birrieria Grumpy's on Interurban Avenue in Tukwila after hearing about it from a food blogger on TikTok. It absolutely lived up to the hype. We know our birria, so expectations were high. We ordered a variety of dishes--enchiladas, a keto taco, a birria torta, bacon wrapped jalapeños, and a crunch wrap--and every single item delivered. I started with the keto taco, expecting a standard (and often disappointing) gluten-free tortilla. Instead, it was made entirely of cheese--and it was one of the most delicious things I've had in a long time. Completely unexpected and amazing. I'm especially picky about tortas, and I can honestly say this was the best Mexican torta I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, flavorful, and satisfying. Beyond the food, the experience was just as great. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and we even had the chance to meet the owner, who shared the story behind "Grumpy Gramps"--a fun and memorable touch. This place is absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommend--and we'll definitely be back.

Service as really bad. Waiter seems more concerned about chatting it up with his co workers than actually place our order. There were three tables and one was getting irritated waiting for their cheque to be sent to them. The ambiance is just...off. The food as some have mentioned, looks bland and lifeless. Considering their sign is a banner over the other sign of the previous restaurant, that's what you need to pay attention to. Do not go here. It's not worth the headache.

In WA for work and was searching for some good food. Being from Chicago, it's hard to find food that compares to our city but there are some gems in WA including this one. Here on a quiet Tuesday night. Only customer at the moment but the restaurant is very welcoming. The decor, the music, it all screams authentic cuisine. Trini was my server and was extremely helpful. Had several recommendations for me; quesabirria tacos and a steak "grumpy" taco. I'm bummed I can't try the grumpy taco as is due to my small spice threshold. It comes with habanero sauce. I opted for it without and the taste was incredible. I added some green sauce she recommended and I demolished the taco. One of the best steak tacos I've ever had. The quesabirria meal is served with two tacos and consume. Huge portions! From the first bite I knew it was going to make me feel happy and completely satisfied. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town and will recommend this to anyone in or out of the Seattle area.

Rice and beans side- $6 for bland sadness

Bland, expensive and not as advertised. My mediocre chicken flautas didn't come with the rice and beans I thought they would (they were in the Dinner section which states served with rice and beans) Got the grumpy sampler and was underwhelmed plus it didn't come with the guac. A strange thing happened too when I was checking out- it's cafeteria style where you order at the front, an 18% gratuity was added on without my consent? I'm all about tipping but I'd like to have a say and cafeteria style wouldn't really warrant more than a 10% tip IMHO. Rice and beans had to be ordered as a separate side and were super bland - a huge let down for $6 extra. Definitely won't be coming back here, which sucks I had high hopes! Appetizer Sampler, 2 fish tacos, flautas, kids nuggets, rice and beans side plus chips and salsa (meager portion no refills) was $108. Insane.

I really wanted birria tacos and close to us was this place it was new to us so we decided to try it. Upon arrival it was empty we stopped at the counter and the guy said to order there. Once more customers arrived white were seated and then they took their order there? Not sure what happened. The prices seemed high but we hoped it was good. It was not, the taste of the birria it self was mid the broth needed flavor, the sauces are okay. The quesabirrias tasted better bc the cheese added flavor. Ordered 2 birria ramens my kids did not eat so that speaks for it self it had a weird smell pretty sure it was top ramen so for the price not worth it. The jaimaca was good but it was artificial. Will not be coming back.

Super delicious tacos with a delicious consommé. The people who were very nice there. One person might've been new, but she was trying her best. Another lady noticed that they forgot to give us mango margaritas and she sweetly tried to give us our money back. We said no.it's a very old-school place that was a bit rustic, but was compensated by how delicious its food was. The best ones I've had.

SO AMAZING WE LOVE THIS PLACE. Kids loved all the food too, family friendly, great prices! A variety to the menu too! Husband loved the burrito, food was so good, even my 6 and 4 year old ate all the food! Great, friendly service as well.

Food was great. Loved the ramen. Nestled in between the casinos on Interurban. Would definitely recommend if you're in Tukwila.

For this visit I only did takeout, though I did get a chance to go inside with my friends as we were waiting for our orders. It's bright and extremely casual inside with ample seating, though nearly everyone that came in did takeout like we did. And there were people constantly coming in and out for the food here! Staff was quick in prepping everything and asking if we wanted extra sauce on the side. I got their carnitas plate, and as a takeout portions are huge here! Meat was flavorful, tender and savory; the jalapeños added a nice spice to the dish; and the extra sauces on the side added even more spice onto it that I enjoyed. The dish was wrapped well in a disposable aluminum plate and covered as well. This went for all of our orders, which included the burrito plate and taco salad. This place is easily one I'd come back to for Mexican food at a great price and quality!

But just as I was convincing her to give it a moment the staff came out from the back with orders, saw us, and we were quickly seated by the window. The space has been converted and feels that way, like the fingerprints of the previous tenant has not been erased. The menu is extensive with all the typical dishes we see in Mexican restaurants with very reasonable costs. They offer a few alcoholic drinks including margaritas, which I found to be splendid and perfectly balanced. The food also was tasty. I ate the enchiladas especial which seemed like fairly typical enchiladas and I mean that in the best of ways. The service also was great. Our waitress checked in on us often, was super polite and friendly, and was prompt with our bill. All in all a wonderful lunch!
