Delux carnitas burrito with sour cream and Texas kool aide (Dr Pepper from our travel cooler)

Wonderful authentic delicious Mexican dishes are the norm here. The service is five star! The interior ambiance is fun casual Mexican style. We do take out because we are traveling through Clovis on the road with two big dogs so we count on parks for eating our order. We actually set our road map to drive directly to Taqueria Jalisco ! From Fort Worth it's just under six hours. That's how much we love this place. Salsa is perfect ! Guacamole is a mouthful of green goodness. The only reason they didn't get five stars was the worthless plastic fork set. When you eat on the road the tableware makes a huge difference. Otherwise we recommend you give this food and service your try!!!

Love the vibe of this place and overall feel. Staff were very nice and attentive. Got the Jalisco green burrito and added fries to the burrito. It was delicious, only downfall was the rice was a bit dry, but none the less was really good. I'll be coming here from now on when I visit Clovis.

Fantastic Mexican food that the community raves about here in Clovis! Large indoor dining space with plenty of seating decorated in a very cool and engaging manner. Staff is very friendly and food was reasonably priced. The chorizo queso is the best queso I have ever had!!!!!!!! I would order and eat just that it was so good!! The rest of their food was fresh and very spicy including their homemade salsa. Definitely a place to bring large groups for easy and delicious dining. Only downsides preventing 5 stars was their chips were very thick and almost stale in texture (they weren't actually stale, that's just the kind of chips they were) and their meat while spicy was missing a lot of complex flavoring and really relied and the salsas for flavor punch and those were just ok. A green and red salsa were provided in addition to the dipping salsa and as stated those were ok but a little bland. Seasoning the meat better and adding some more variety in the sauces (maybe some with a Mayo base like what El Asador in Pensacola uses) would add a lot to the experience. Fantastic location overall though and will definitely be back!

Trying out place for the first time, and can already tell it's 100% authentic Mexican food in town. Horchata tastes like home in jalisco.

Trying out place for the first time and can already taste the authenticity. The horchata, chips and salsa is all I needed to taste before food even arrives to know how great this place is. Service was given right away as well. Ambiance of the room is exquisite. Music is great taste, seating area is comfortable.

Amazing service! Best tamales I have had that I didn't buy from the trunk of a car. The churros were amazing as well.

Carne Tampiqueña #9 in the back and Chile verde up front

First time in Clovis and looking to get a taste of home, with some of the traditionals like chile colorado, chile verde or real chile con carne. My dad strongly recommended this place, and initially I thought it was only because of the lovely servers. After a fine meal I knew why. For starters the chips and salsa were good. And a fair warning for our fellow 'I don't eat spicy' Yelpers....the salsa was good and spicy. I ordered the chile verde, which by the way, I can't seem to find in Dallas. If I do, it's a disappointment. Blame it on my El Paso taste buds. This chile verde was excellent! Full of flavor and the right amount of chile verde. The staples, rice and beans, were also good, but the star of the plate was the chile verde for sure. Disappointed that tortillas were not 'homemade', but with the chile verde, that more than made up for it. Dad got the Carne a la Tampiqueña and he ate the whole thing. Then again, he knows what to get here so no surprise there. This'll be my first stop when in town again, before heading to my pop's....sorry dad, the chile verde has you beat.

    Carne En Su Jugo

Food was super good and hot, the salsas had flavor and the dishes were chose we flavorful as well. We came in about 8:00pm on a Wednesday night and my father ordered a Menudo and surprisingly they actually had some and he said it had a lot of flavor just like home. I tried the Carne en su Jugo and I was packed with flavor. The only thing that let us down was the tortillas de maiz kept breaking and they weren't warm enough. But I would definitely stop by and give it a try if you are passing by or staying for a while.

The food is really good and the atmosphere is family friendly. The tongue tacos are great with their salsa. The service is a little slow.

Chicken quesadilla was out of this world. Their homemade hot sauce was an added bonus to an already great meal.

We had to ask for our entrees and when they finally came out all of them were cold to the touch. Twice we've ordered chips with queso and twice it never made it to the table and both times when I cancelled the appetizer the server got upset. But isn't an appetizer before your meal not after the meal is served. So today we debated going back but thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt. We were seated and wait for some time before we were approached by a server the restaurant was busy so no big deal. Got our drink order and again ordered the chips and queso appetizer. I wasn't real hungry so I ordered the Texas wings. Waited and waited for appetizers but again no show. Then the server brings out our food. I advised her to cancel the appetizer. The chicken looked good. I bit into a small drummy it tasted weird then I looked and it was bloody I checked three other of the wings and all were raw inside. So I decided to just eat my fries and not make a scene but my wife informed the server who saw the raw chicken and said she would go get her manager. We waited and waited and no manager came to our table. The server returned to the table while I was in the bathroom and informed my wife she removed the wings from our ticket. My wife asked where is the manager and the server said do you want me to get him. My wife told the server you were going to get him earlier what happened. At that point with frustration building we just got our ticket and paid minus the wings. (Of course I'm not paying for food I couldn't consume because it was under cooked) The girl at the counter was very apologetic and said she'll inform the manager. I told my frustration that the manager doesn't have the common courtesy to come out and speak to us. I asked the his name and was advised Devonte. I will no longer dine at this restaurant and will advise family, friends and anyone who will listen about the poor service at this Cotton Patch. Sad I've been told not to eat there but I liked the atmosphere and usually the food and service is good. I'll have to find another location for dinner I have pictures but it won't let me post them.
