I had the pazole which I had not eaten in many years. It was excellent with a very good flavor. It came with all accompaniments such as radishes, cabbage, onion and lime. It tasted like authentic Mexican! Our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and homey. Ok. I've been in the are for about 3 weeks and have gone to this place about 8 or 9 times. I have had several types of tacos. The Pollo Asado, Birria, and the Al Pastor are all great. Each of the salsas are flavorful.. mild, medium and spicy.. I have also have the chimichanga twice and the Caldo de Res.. all great!! I will miss this place when I go back home to Texas. The ambience is very cute and authentic. It's a small place. Very cozy and inviting. The staff is amazing. Owatonna is lucky to have this place. I have also had the aguas Frescas. I ordered pozole ( and I never order soups because they don't taste homemade!) and it was served, as traditional, a plate of fresh onion, tomato, cabbage shredded, and radishes. It was delicious! Traveling to KCMO from Mall of America. Step back to the college days when some of us lived in homes split into apts but then make a majority of the home a Mexican restaurant. It was hard to believe at first.....(that place)....but then step through the orange door and become a believer. All the colors and charm of Mexico compressed down to some rooms in your house. As far as the food, either Abuela or someone with her recipe book is cooking back there. Tacos, Tacos, and some more all very delicious. Chimi plate was excellent. If you like, try the Pineapple drink ;p. Near the last hour of the night, service slowed down for us so food took a lil longer with less staff on hand but the family of servers were constantly checking and asking. Good friendly people running a quant little establishment. One small drawback: fix the tables and chairs from sliding on the floor so much. read more

Hands down y'all! This is the best street taco spot in town. I love their food! I've had most of their tacos on the menu and all are delicious! I've also had their Menudos and Rancheros plates. OMG!!! Loved it! Don't even get me started on desserts and drinks! It's amazing!!!! The staffs are so nice and attentive! Space is perfect for its mom and pop type shop. My name is Andy Santiago Bustamante-Bunay and I live in Blaine MN. After my little brother's soccer tournament in Kansas I went to this restaurant my mom found. My Dad ordered the Menudo, my mom ordered the Pozole, me and my little brother ordered the Quesabirria. Before we got our entrees we ordered drinks. My mom ordered a Horchata, my dad ordered a Tamarinda drink, my little brother ordered a Strawberry Lemonade and I ordered a Mango Lemonade. My dad said his drink was good, my mom said her drink was really good, my little brother said his drink was ok, I thought my drink tasted really good. My parents and brother thought my drink was amazing and incredible. I believe I did not fully enjoy my drink because I was full after eating my meal. The food arrived and my dad thought his Menudo was amazing, and my mom was amazed with the flavor of her Pozole, which tasted almost as good as her Mexican friend's (Jani's) pozole, I was completely and utterly shock with how incredible my tacos tasted. This restaurant had the best Quesabirria in all of Minnesota, and the consommé for the tacos was out of this world. It was so good it could compete with Birria Consommé from the entire world with its amazing flavor. The birria had a perfect blend of savory, and salty. The meat texture was perfect. The birria had a perfect blend of umami, richness, savoriness, saltiness and smoothness. This restraint had better food than the taco truck (Tacos Los Primo), Que taco and any other Mexican restaurant I went to. The service was also amazing (it put chic-fil-a to shame). Our waitress (Rosa) was really nice and let us try the strawberry horchata for free which was amazing but not for me. The price were also amazing with one birria taco costing 4.50. the consommé is also free with the purchase of at least one birria taco. You should come here even if it is just for the birria consommé. The atmosphere was incredible and had a homey feel. read more
