In a very non-descriptive yellow building next to a creepy looking motel, this is a hidden gym. Authentic Mexican food with great flavors. I ordered the quesabirria taco plate with consume minus the beans. Rice was typical Mexican rice, which was fine. I got 4 nice sized birrias that were loaded with meat, cheese, onions and cilantro. Didn't even need to dip them in the consume becasue they were THAT good. We were the first ones in for lunch so service was good. I came here tonight with a friend of mine and we loved it!!! This place is authentic, which is exactly what I look for. Not that Americanized junk. My friend has been to Mexico and said it felt like she was eating a meal there. All the food was fresh. My queso birria plate tasted great. I'd happily order it again. My friend liked her tacos. I got the watermelon aguas frescas. I liked it but was looking for something a little bit more sweetened (it was essentially watermelon juice) it tasted good but I'd probably just stick to water next time. My friend enjoyed her jalapeño margs. The chips and queso/guac were good. Just keep in mind they don't do chips and salsa here. Sounds like that's more of an Americanized thing anyway, and like I said this place is the real deal. We finished up with some tres leches which was AWESOMEE. We both really liked it. Tasted like they had just made it. It had fresh fruit on it and had some cinnamon in it. Our server was great. Very courteous and came by multiple times. Our food came out quickly. There was a family with a baby near us who was happy as could be. This restaurant had a friendly community feel to it. Decor was cool. Vibes were awesome. I'm certain I'll be back at some point. Good service, excellent food. There were a couple things that made me want to deduct a star, but the food was so tasty, I'm giving them the full 5-star rating anyway. Chips are not free like you may get at other places (which was fine). We ordered the dip trio (guac, queso, & salsa). They were great but not enough chips for all the dips so our salsa went pretty much untouched because we ran out, which is a shame, because the salsa tasted homemade and was delicious. We ordered el pastor, asada & quesibirra tacos. My favorite of the three was the pastor tacos, but all were good. I wish there were at least one lime wedge per taco. I finally found a place nearby Atlanta with good Mexican food! My friend and I ordered takeout. She had the birria tacos and I got the Campechano (asada and chorizo) burrito. Both were phenomenal. They were stuffed with lots of meat, cooked to perfection, and tasted like genuine Mexican food. You truly cannot miss out on their salsa too. They have a bit of a kick, particularly the green sauce but they are both beyond delicious. Their service is quick. We ordered for delivery and the timing was precise. On top of this, the pricing for these meals were exceptional, with both of us paying less than $15 for a meal that we couldn't even finish in one sitting. Good diverse Mexican menu. I've been there several times for lunch and delivery and have always had good food. Portions are big. The aguas frescas Jamaica, Horchata are good and large size. It's one of the few places in the area I would take a guest or client to. If it's busy or not it can take a bit to get your food depending on what you order but it's worth it, just be careful if you don't have a long lunch. read more

I googled "best Mexican near me" and this location had great reviews. It's not a tex-mex restaurant, they are authentic and don't provide the typical chips and salsa most of us are used to. That was okay with me. We ordered the queso and enjoyed the fresh flavors. Their margarita was clean and freshly prepared - I loved the effort put into its mixing and garnishes. This was my first visit, but I won't go back. I ordered 2 ground beef tacos w/ lettuce, cheese, & sour cream. They charged a $1.00 for the sour cream & $1 for the cheese. The ground beef was burnt. It was like somebody cooked a hamburger on the grill & the outside was charred & black and then they took that hamburger & crumbled it up & put it on 2 flour tortillas. I also order cheese dip which had a strange taste. The atmosphere is great & the waitress was nice, but they weren't busy and I saw at least 5 waitresses but I had to ask somebody to bring me water & I had to ask for eating utensils well after my food was served. As we drove to this place... it was kind of sketchy and I was scared of the motel/hotel nearby. Parking area was a-bit sketchy too but this restaurant was good! My daughter and I are always trying new places so I looked at reviews for local Mexican spots near where we traveling. TLT had good reviews so we stopped in for takeout lunch (Monday, 01/06/25). My daughter went in to place our order and was greeted immediately by the very friendly front staff. She was then directed to the bar area to place our order. The experience started out great. She ordered a three amigo (shrimp, steak & chicken) fajita bowl with queso on the side. I just started a gluten-free diet and ordered two steak tacos with corn tortillas. Everything looked delicious when it came out. To our surprise, the meats were so overcooked and flavorless that we couldn't eat it after a few bites. My stomach was bubbling. It was as if the meats were cooked earlier and then cooked again upon order. It was such a disappointment. We must've had a different cook than others have had. Okay so I was on the hunt for birria tacos because my daughter got to choose a restaurant to celebrate her accomplishments. I ran across this restaurant here on Yelp and they had excellent reviews. Coming from a child's eye they said said the outside looked weird. From adult point of view, I saw no problems but it gave a family oriented feel. We were greeted upon entry and seated promptly. We knew what we wanted so it didn't take us long to order. We ordered the cheese dip as an appetizer, which was flavorful. We all ordered birria tacos. There were four of us and we had beef, chicken, and shrimp tacos. They were all delicious! The tacos came with rice and beans. I did not like the rice, but I would still come back for their tacos. Took one star off the for the bean dip (it's sorta bland for my liking) the cheese dip is good but compared to the guacamole it's lacking because the guac was my favorite. Not pictured: tripe taco (it was nice and crispy just missing salt or seasoning and for a four dollar taco I expected more tripe). Pictured is also my second round of tacos the chorizo, barbacoa, and another carnita (carnita was my favorite of course). I didn't care for the barbacoa... but the chorizo and carnitas..... Besides the parking lot being tight and coming into the restaurant which is a very homey feeling which is good. Lights are very casual and not bright music is on and not loud. They are good for big groups or family eating. I order tacos quesobirria, cabeza, pastor, asada. The place is decorated with Christmas decor and a soft ambiance. Now let's talk about this food. Omg, it was good and flavorful, especially the quesobirria and the Cabeza. I had to think and see if I wanted another one . Off the bat all the guys are tentative at the restaurant. The big mason jar cup of water threw me off. Idk why but it did lol. It's great to get someone to drink plenty of water and not have to wait for a refill. The tortillas were made from scratch which I loved. My overall favorite taco was the shrimp tacos. I forgot to take a picture of the two additional shrimp tacos I purchased but they were really good! I wasn't crazy about the salsas but do like that they're the type that are still of good quality and nothing cheap. I favor the chilaquiles type of verde salsa more. I wasn't expecting how big the horchata was to-go cup-wise but definitely drank all of it! The ambiance was on the quiet side because I came on at an odd time of the day but I'm sure it's packed at night and over the weekend. I'll be back to get drinks and food in the future! read more

Wow! (Is it a bad joke if I say 'holy guacamole'???) We were driving through town and starving after a hike. Needed good Mexican food immediately. This place is authentic with some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. We had the Al pastor burrito and the beef cheek (cabeza) with a couple of margaritas. The burritos were so tender and flavorful - with homemade tortillas, of course! The Texas margaritas were just right. They make their own sour mix so it isn't a migraine gut bomb. Just perfect! The food okay but what Mexican Restaurant doesn't serve chips and salsa when you sit down. This one doesn't, it's an appetizer. The waitress was okay as was the restaurant and cleanliness.
