Just opened and I couldn't have been more excited! Don Churro is phenomenal and team behind it are genuinely incredible people. Local and family owned you have to try their incredible taste of home. I got the Chicken Empanada and tacos with a Mexican Coke! Everyone is Bilingual and I will be returning very soon!

If you love authentic Mexican food in a cozy festive setting, you need to checkout Don Churro Taqueria! Not only do Ramses and Chef Griselda make you feel welcome when you walk in, but the food is amazing! My personal favorite was the Enchiladas de Pollo which were packed with meat and topped with fresh ingredients. And If you want tasty tacos with fresh ingredients, Don Churro's menu offers multiple options...all on freshly made corn tortillas! I can also say that I have not found another place nearby that offers freshly made homemade churros that are quickly prepared and served hot like these! I will definitely be back!

Good service, excellent food. There were a couple things that made me want to deduct a star, but…read morethe food was so tasty, I'm giving them the full 5-star rating anyway. Chips are not free like you may get at other places (which was fine). We ordered the dip trio (guac, queso, & salsa). They were great but not enough chips for all the dips so our salsa went pretty much untouched because we ran out, which is a shame, because the salsa tasted homemade and was delicious. We ordered el pastor, asada & quesibirra tacos. My favorite of the three was the pastor tacos, but all were good. I wish there were at least one lime wedge per taco. Price-wise, maybe not the best value compared to other mexican spots, but the food was really good.

There's booths and tables and I like that the tables aren't too close to each other. There's cute decor, just a nice vibe overall. It wasn't too busy for a Friday evening which was nice since we had our kids with us. The waiter was pleasant and checked on us occasionally, without being over bearing. We started with a trio of dips with chips- guacamole, queso, and salsa instead of the bean dip. All of them were good with the queso being so-so for me. The salsa is nice and smoky. One kid had a kids meal with two shredded beef tacos and fries. I'm glad they served the onions and cilantro on the side for him. Hubby has the queso birria plate and raved about how good it was. I enjoyed by pollo asado plate. I only wish they had a salsa bar with the pickled veggies, etc. The menu is extensive so I can't wait to try something else. Prices are a little higher than other Mexican places, but they make a lot of homemade items and you can tell the difference.

Soooo. I went to their food truck cause I was craving for street tacos. I ordered 4 carne asada…read moretacos, a large horchata and asked for extra lime and extra green hot sauce. I get home and excited to eat, open my plate and this is what I'm left with. The level of pissed i felt.. they didn't even put meat in the 4th taco. Everything was just thrown in there. The tacos were so greasy and dripping of oil, the tortillas ripped because it was so greasy. There was a pool of oil under the tacos. And they only gave me 2 small green hot sauce when I asked for extra green hot sauce. The seasoning was so mediocre. The one star is for the Horchata cause that was the only thing that was good. I'm so disappointed and will not return here. I paid $16 for 3 tacos, an empty tortilla and horchata.

This place was not great…read more Interior / exterior I've driven by dozens of times over the years - finally decided to stop by. The parking lot was a bit congested because there's hand car wash sharing the lot. There didn't seem to be any designated parking so once i placed my order I went back to car and waited - just in case I needed to move my car out of someone's way. Instead of a static board, they have 3 or 4 LCD monitors with menu & pricing. The screens change every few seconds and they twist, fly and float in. There are also several handwritten signs. It's kinda dark inside, even though there are tons of windows and the place seems like it could use a deep clean - not because it's 'dirty' but because the surfaces seem to be coated in a thin film of grease / oil which can happen over time in, in a small space like this. Customer Service Upon entering, there were two employees seated at the table, eating. The girl stopped eating and stared at me. The dude, turned around and looked at me. I stared back at them and they quickly turned their attention back to their food. I'm not sure - but I think its some sort of cultural thing for Latino people to not greet customers. Whatever it is - it can be somewhat off-putting. I went to the register and there wasn't a cashier (I'm assuming one of the seated employees was the cashier) and the cook had his back to me. I stood there for two or three minutes looking at the menu and wondering how to get his attention without seeming rude. Finally, just as I was about to shout, "Excuse me," he put his spatula down and approached the counter. He smiled and asked what he could get for me. He wasn't surprised when he turned to see me standing there. It appeared that he knew I was there all along. I guess he was giving me time to peruse the menu. Food Remember those menus I mentioned previously? Well I'd had a good bit of time to study them, but I still somehow missed the tacos, so I asked about them. He said they had tacos - they were "around $3 each" and he tapped on a sign to show me the various meat options (chicken, beef, chorizo, tongue, pork, you name it, the offer it). When I asked if I could get flour tacos, he said the taco tortillas were small (street tacos) and the only large tortillas they had were used for burritos and quesadillas. I went with the a chicken quesadilla and fries instead of beans and rice. My chicken quesadilla was 'ok' - nothing to rave about. A few pieces of gristle but not terrible. My french fries were tiny little bits and pieces as though they were the remnants from a bag that should have been tossed. He'd also dropped them directly from he piping hot grease, into my styrofoam container without putting down any wax paper or foil, so most of them melted through the container and fell out into the bag - while the others that remained wound up coated in a melted styrofoam. Yum. Price / Value This wasn't a great value. The quesadilla is about half the portion you'd get from Casa Grande or other sit down restaurants and the fries were inedible. I also think I might have been overcharged. It appears that I was charged for the quesadilla meal AND an order of french fries instead of being charged for just the meal, with fries as a substitution. I know post pandemic food pricing is off the chain, but personally, I think $3 is too much for a street taco - unless it premium meats and toppings. Or unless I'm dining somewhere really upscale where everything is pristine and gorgeous. They did have a deal that came with 5 tacos, beans and rice for $8.99. Or it might have even been 8 tacos, I'm not sure - I can't remember. I just remember thinking that it seemed like the price was too good to be true if those same tacos, ala carte, are a whopping $3. Overall Overall, I didn't enjoy my food and the prices seem a bit steep based on portion size and environment.
