That burrito was so good! I don't even like burritos because of all of the bread.. but this was so perfect! Very much a hole in the wall, with all of the flavor I've expected to find at them. Authentic Mexican food, prepared well, tastes great. No frills. I ordered the steak quesadilla (asada) with fries instead of rice and beans. (I loved that they give the choice) The quesadilla and the fries were good. Not many complaints. My only gripe was the prices. They've definitely passed on the costs of inflation to the customer. In addition to the steep prices, the verde was a tad spicy for my liking and I thought it was weird that they put the cilantro and sour cream on before they pressed the tortilla. Stumbled upon this hidden gem after leaving the library and having some time to kill before work. I always tell people I despise Mexican Restaurants but love Taquerias for there true authenticity. Simple good food. The day I went , there was a pretty standard lunch crowd but there was enough room for me to sit right away. I was greeted pretty promptly after sitting. I'm very much the adventurous eater, so I love cuts of meat that you don't always see. They happened to have Lengua (Beef Tongue) tacos, which was a no brained because I love Lengua! I also ordered the steak burrito. The Lengua was nothing short of amazing. To those that have never tried Lengua, I highly recommend (think pot roast in taste). Again simplicity is corn tortilla, meat, onions, cilantro and a lime. Nothing else is needed. They had a homemade salsa that was delicious. Everything was perfect for me. I left telling all my foodie friends about this amazing place I discovered. The steak burrito was delicious as well. I finished my meal off with some churro's. Bang for your Buck! This place is never that crowded so my son and I stopped by one Friday evening to grab Mexican food, the place was empty so we were able to get in and out fairly quick. I ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla with all the fixings and my son ordered the nachos. The food was plentiful and amazingly good, I do feel like they could clean up a bit since no guest were there, the cashier was watching tv -lol. I love the hole in the wall spots. This place has great authentic Mexican food that is top shelf quality. Most dishes have slices of avocado on top. The tortas are to die for and this time I dared to try a taco de lengua because a friend of mine here said they were awesome (lengua is tongue by the way). Delicious (I joked with my daughter that it felt like it was licking me back). Anyways only downside is it's small so it's hard to bring a big party unless you catch them light. But we got our crew of 13 in alright on Sunday. Their horchata drink is awesome but I haven't tried their Jamaica or mango juice. Here's some of what my friend ate. Price is more than McDonald's and you can go as high as $13 if you want but it's reasonable especially during lunch. Good stuff read more

This was a nice find. It's about a mile off I-20. The dining room is small . So, I can see how it could get very busy at peak meal time. We arriveed around 1pm on a Sunday and had to wait for a table to be cleaned off. Service waS friendly and fast. The food was VERY fresh and had great flavor. I work just down the road from here. I eat here once a week and sometimes twice a week for lunch. I also sometimes get food to go for dinner. The steak tacos are amazing! It's pretty much all i order. The tortillas taste hand made, flour or corn. Since if the best Mexican food around and as authentic as it comes. I've never had anything bad from here, even when they have me the past of someone else's order when i got Togo one time. Lol I had ordered 6 tacos, instead they gave me 3 tacos and a burrito. The burrito wasn't what i ordered or was looking to eat, but since u was home i thought I'd eat it anyway. And boy was it delicious. I'm not terribly confident in what it was exactly other then it was a burrito. But our ears super good. The people are friendly enough but sometimes service is hit or miss depending on how busy they are, especially at night. read more
