I believe Los Comales is one of the better commercial taqueria restaurants in my area, I've haven't had any issues until today. I ordered , two orders of - three tacos, one pork , two steak, with chips and salsa. I received two containers that were filled over, meat pilled up in a corner of the container, empty tortilla shells, chips and salsa in one order only. Pathetic presentation and or uber delivery. The most authentic Mexican taco place in Evergreen Park. Good salsa , great cecina , carnitas and chorizo. Decent steak and chicken tacos. Everything js fresh and prices are reasonable. The only issue is the kids working here are spaced out all the time. My order is almost always wrong, they forget something and even tell you confidently it's In the bag, but check , and there's a 50/50 chance it's not. I've tried this place before and have really enjoyed their marinated chicken tacos. However, today they were very much lacking flavor and tasted more liked grilled chicken without seasoning. Went to Taqueria Los Comales in Evergreen Park for lunch with my sister last Saturday for take-out. We both ordered different Burritos, I ordered the Steak with the works, and there were a few bits of gristle, the steak itself was tasty but didn't care for the gristle *they didn't have ground beef". My sister ordered the "Carnitas Burrito" but she threw half of it away, it was undercooked and fatty. They get you in and out in no time, and the staff is friendly and helpful with the menu. Updating my review: we came here for dinner tonight and was able to check out their outdoor patio seating. This location doesn't have indoor dining at this time, and they also have a drive thru which is unique -- I've never expected an authentic Mexican restaurant to have a drive thru. It's not that common since I don't consider Taco Bell authentic Mexican. I had their combo meal that came with 4 tacos, a side and a drink -- I had 2 shrimp and 2 carnitas, a side of chips & salsa, and a Mandarin Jarrito drink. I'd say that inflation hit me when I was going through my shrimp tacos -- it was 1 piece of small shrimp diced into quarters. I've been spoiled by El Chavis where they give you a whole shrimp in your taco. My partner also did a 4 tacos combo meal but with all chicken tacos, rice and a horchata. Their horchata is good but definitely really sugary and not something I'd want a lot of. The chips were really fresh and crispy, and the salsa was flavorful with a good mix of vegetables and sauce -- there was also a bit of a kick to the sauce which I can appreciate. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for authentic Mexican food. It's conveniently located in a mall, almost hidden because they don't have a sign at the main entrance of the mall, and there's also plenty of free parking. read more

Los Comales tacos are about as close to street tacos in Mexico as you can get while still being in America. Highly recommend, and your better to have cilantro and onions with a squeeze of lime. Make sure to get chips and salsa. As delicious treat, get a half gallon of horchata. It's like liquid rice pudding. At this location they have a drive thru. Great during a pandemic! Insult to injury... they have the nerve to charge for condiments which should be included with order! i called to filed my complaint with manger Christian... he apologized and said he will void out the order. New family favorite for great Mexican food!! We have only done carry out through the drive thru and the food and service have been amazing. Always quick and always friendly. We usually order the taco tray divided into chicken, carne asada and carnitas (which for anyone who hasn't had, it's delicious pork butte crisped to perfection).
