Met up with bestie for a quick bite. Beautiful space nestled in between a strip mall; cozy wooden accents everywhere. Home cooked aromas wafting in the air. All food is prepared to order and ice cream, shakes and smoothies are all made from scratch. DO try a scoop of the biscoff, it's delicious. My strawberry nutella crepe was made by the owner himself.

First, when walking in, the ambiance of the place is amazing. Soft lighting, comfortable seats, and definitely spacious. Spanish music was chef's kiss and not too loud. Moving on to the staff. The only person present was a single woman running the entire place on her own! Strong lady! Plus when she took our orders, she was very thorough in what would come in our dishes, and super polite! She took our order swiftly and got right to cooking. The food is cooked right in front of you. She also maintained the cleanliness of the restaurant and her areas behind the counter as well. Onto the food!! I ordered a carnitas bowl, added avocado, with everything else in it. My husband ordered the steak burrito, added guacamole and onions, with everything else in it. We also got an elote with everything on it, medium sized. For our drinks, two lime Jarritos of course! Our food came out in a very timely manner as well, felt like 5 minutes haha! The food was brought to our table. Might I add that everything was amazing! DEFINITELY the best food out of all the Hispanic places that I have visited EVER. Lastly, the price for everything we ordered (including two EXTRA Jarritos to quench our final thirst) was only 43 dollars!! Would recommend for anyone looking to snag a quick bite or a place to bring the entire family. If you love Mexican food here's your local place!

Overall, the experience was solid. The consomé had good flavor, definitely one of the highlights, but felt like it was just missing that one extra layer of richness or spice to really push it over the top. Still, enjoyable. The birria meat was super tender, which we appreciated. Only downside? The cheese. There was a lot of it. Not a dealbreaker, and some folks might love that, but I personally would've liked the meat to shine a bit more instead of being smothered. Chips and queso were solid, and the tacos were satisfying. Cozy little spot near Midway, and the staff was friendly. Would I come back? Yeah, especially for a casual bite if I'm in the area again.

My dad got the barbocoa burrito and I got the Mar y Tierra-skirt steak and shrimp wrapped in bacon. It's funny bc I ordered well done steak and it looked burnt but it wasn't! It was really tasty as was the shrimp. A little too much salt and they forgot my tortillas. The guacamole and salsa were really really good as were the chips. We arrived around 4 pm and there was about a 25 minute wait. It is cozy so there were people waiting outside. The decor is more modern than traditional. They have a bar and TVs. Staff are warm and friendly and our server was Dulce. It was a busy day yet she would periodically check in to see how we were doing. We ordered the table side guacamole. It was made fresh at our table and hubby added a little more salt to it. We were also served a small bowl of salsa. The chips are warm and fresh. Hubby ordered the combo fajitas and a strawberry margarita. I ordered the steak enchiladas rojas and a pina colada. Everything was seasoned well and we enjoyed our meals. Kudos to the bartender for making great drinks!

This isn't just plant-based food -- it's thoughtful, balanced, and crafted with real love. I had the fish tacos (yes, vegan -- and absolutely convincing), the corn ribs, mushroom sandwich, truffle fries, mushroom quesadilla, horchata, and Jamaica. Not one miss. Every single item was a hit. The flavors are layered without being heavy. Comforting without being greasy. Satisfying without the crash. You leave feeling full but light -- the kind of meal where your mouth, your stomach, and your health all say "thank you." If you go, honestly? Do yourself a favor: order a sandwich and a drink. Sit with it. Taste it. Let it speak for itself. This is the kind of place we need not just to survive, but to thrive. You can feel the family behind it. The mom. The owner. The care. The pride. I loved that we were given some recommendations on favorite dishes. -The vegan calamari (made with cocunut meat) was perfect: breaded just right and crisp. -The Fresca (watermelon & cayenne ) was perfect. 3.5 stars for: Our main entrees lacked seasoning. I was really surprised by this. Both of our dishes were extremely light on any seasoning. We both decided to take the rest home to add some garlic/ chiles/ sea salt ... maybe? However the presentation was appealing, food tasted really fresh and cooked right. We spent approx $160... that's including the 20 % tip and tax.
