Met up with bestie for a quick bite. Beautiful space nestled in between a strip mall; cozy wooden accents everywhere. Home cooked aromas wafting in the air. All food is prepared to order and ice cream, shakes and smoothies are all made from scratch. DO try a scoop of the biscoff, it's delicious. My strawberry nutella crepe was made by the owner himself.

First, when walking in, the ambiance of the place is amazing. Soft lighting, comfortable seats, and definitely spacious. Spanish music was chef's kiss and not too loud. Moving on to the staff. The only person present was a single woman running the entire place on her own! Strong lady! Plus when she took our orders, she was very thorough in what would come in our dishes, and super polite! She took our order swiftly and got right to cooking. The food is cooked right in front of you. She also maintained the cleanliness of the restaurant and her areas behind the counter as well. Onto the food!! I ordered a carnitas bowl, added avocado, with everything else in it. My husband ordered the steak burrito, added guacamole and onions, with everything else in it. We also got an elote with everything on it, medium sized. For our drinks, two lime Jarritos of course! Our food came out in a very timely manner as well, felt like 5 minutes haha! The food was brought to our table. Might I add that everything was amazing! DEFINITELY the best food out of all the Hispanic places that I have visited EVER. Lastly, the price for everything we ordered (including two EXTRA Jarritos to quench our final thirst) was only 43 dollars!! Would recommend for anyone looking to snag a quick bite or a place to bring the entire family. If you love Mexican food here's your local place!

La Cocina De Mama is one of the popular places to drink and eat along this particular stretch. Far from authentic. They focus more on look and taste. Came in and got seats at the bar. It's often crowded and this time was no exception. There was a wait for a table. Of course cocktails. We got a couple of these. It's about $13 for a margarita. The Cucumber Margarita is great stuff. It's about $12 for a burrito. Menu has a good amount to choose from. I got the Vegetariano Burrito. This has beans, cheese which I left off, lettuce, rice, and tomatoes. Filling. There's even more items if looking. Great stuff to drink and eat. It's located on 95th Street at Massasoit. There's a few things for vegetarians.

We arrived around 4 pm and there was about a 25 minute wait. It is cozy so there were people waiting outside. The decor is more modern than traditional. They have a bar and TVs. Staff are warm and friendly and our server was Dulce. It was a busy day yet she would periodically check in to see how we were doing. We ordered the table side guacamole. It was made fresh at our table and hubby added a little more salt to it. We were also served a small bowl of salsa. The chips are warm and fresh. Hubby ordered the combo fajitas and a strawberry margarita. I ordered the steak enchiladas rojas and a pina colada. Everything was seasoned well and we enjoyed our meals. Kudos to the bartender for making great drinks!

I got the Fish Dinner Tacos ($25), and my husband got Flautas de Papa ($18). I was eyeballing their Pozole or Menudo but didn't really want to pay $22 for a bowl of soup. Everything on the menu just felt too expensive, especially for being in a casual atmosphere outside the city. Quesadilla La Reina del Sur has a plethora of vegan tacos you can get for like $4 each. I was in the mood for dessert, but even something as simple as 2 cookies with milk would be $24, so we went elsewhere. The food was fine, and the service was fairly attentive, but nothing blew me out of the water for these prices. They also added a 3.5% fee to the bill.

I loved that we were given some recommendations on favorite dishes. -The vegan calamari (made with cocunut meat) was perfect: breaded just right and crisp. -The Fresca (watermelon & cayenne ) was perfect. 3.5 stars for: Our main entrees lacked seasoning. I was really surprised by this. Both of our dishes were extremely light on any seasoning. We both decided to take the rest home to add some garlic/ chiles/ sea salt ... maybe? However the presentation was appealing, food tasted really fresh and cooked right. We spent approx $160... that's including the 20 % tip and tax.
