Holy moly! Everything here is delicious, but of course you must try the birra. The service, too, is speedy and accommodating.

Food Truck with delicious taco burria tacos fried in beef fat and served with a Mexican style beef dip. Located in parking lot just after Portway Tavern. They serve breakfast too and currently open everyday

Birria Tacos

We got the birria tacos and the loaded fries and they were both delicious. Great service too. I give me all 5 stars!

Was stopping by in Astoria and looking for a dinner option before we went on our way, and noticed…read morethis huge taco truck on our way to another restaurant we were thinking of trying. Took one look at the menu, and thought to ourselves, let's go here instead! We paid Chalitos tacos a visit on a Wednesday around 7PM. The taco truck itself is located on a dirt lot with indoor and outdoor seating right outside and next to the truck. There seems to be a couple of parking spaces nearby that I have seen diners walk to and from as well. You place your order at the register, and you wait till they call your name - ours took about 7-10 minutes to get out. We got several tacos ($3 each) just to try the meat options that this restaurant has to offer - Asada, Lengua, Fish, Al Pastor were the options we tried. They were all absolutely delicious! The asada and al pastor were seasoned well and had a pleasant meaty texture, and my personal favorite, the lengua was the perfect texture - soft, hearty, and basically melts as you chew it. Their quesadilla is a solid price too at $10 and you can pick any meat you want to go in it for the same price! At other similar Mexican restaurants, a lengua quesadilla can be up to $12. The quesadilla was portioned generously and came out piping hot with the cheese being stringy and absolutely indulgent with every bite! I also love that they include guacamole with the quesadilla as it usually is a premium at other establishments. Chalitos tacos is definitely an underrated gem in Astoria, as there aren't too many reviews just quite yet - I think compared to what you can get in Astoria, from a quick scope of the area's culinary offerings, the price with quality and quantity you can get from this taco truck seems to be unparalleled. If I am ever in Astoria again, I would definitely come back to try their other options, there are several on my mind like the burrito, pupusas, salchipapas, etc.

The tacos were bomb! I got the Al pastor, they were flavorful!! These were street tacos so the…read moretortillas were small so I had to get 6! But def give them a try! I was here for the weekend and I will def go back when I stay in Astoria!

My cousin and I stopped by this food cart after walking around the Astoria Sunday Market…read more It took 46 minutes to receive our orders after paying, and I'm pretty sure that's due to the staff being extremely stoned, but we forgave this as soon as we bit into our burgers. My cousin ordered the Oklahoma Double Smashburger, and I ordered the Bacon Black and Blue. I thought I had ordered a double, and she thought she had ordered a single, so we ended up moving one patty from her burger to mine. I was really, really hungry. I devoured my burger and fries. I was a little disappointed that fries were the only potential side (all burgers automatically come with fries), but, given how much trouble the staff had keeping orders straight, maybe they don't need to be adding menu items. The Oklahoma was the first decent Oklahoma smashburger I've found anywhere. Both of our burgers were true smashburgers, with caramelized patties. My cousin's had a lot of mustard and onions, while mine had bacon and blue cheese. I didn't love the amount of bacon and blue cheese. It's not my new favorite blue cheese burger of all time-- a spot still held by Gott's in California. But it was really, really good. Good enough to make us forget how annoyed we were at waiting 46 minutes for two burgers. The toppings were all fresh. The bacon and blue cheese were both top quality, although I wished there was a little more of each. The smashburger had really good flavor, but was on the lighter side as far as smashburger patties go. The cart was in a little food cart plaza with about ten carts surrounding a beer tap hall. The vibes were slightly more classy, beach like, and romantic as opposed to other food cart malls. Our burgers were about $18 each, which was definitely on the higher side, but that's what it's like ordering from a bougie food cart by the sea. We carried our burgers down to the alley with murals behind Pine Street Market for amazing photo ops on our way down to the ocean.

The best burgers I've had in Clatsop County. So delicious! On top of the delicious burgers, the…read moreemployees are kind and fun. My only regret is not ever going to them sooner! I can't recommend them enough
