Very odd owners and staff. Hate leaving this sort of review but stopped in here for a few dogs and a baked potato. My kids brought an ice cream cup from across the street and the owner bluntly informed my four and five year-old that no outside food is welcome. He was clearly annoyed, even though it's a casual business on a boardwalk where this seems super common place. Been all up and down the coast on this road trip, never had an experience like this. --- In regards to your response you have 14 tables and one had people at it. It took less than half a napkin to wipe that spill, you did it in front of me and the ice cream was finished before he was out the door. A casual food business is not a house, and we certainly don't get worked up about 1 ounce spills in our home. Hell of a way to live. It's not against state law in Oregon to explicitly bans customers from carrying outside food into a restaurant or another food shop. Your miseducated on your industry look it up. My family and I took a day trip to Seaside beach yesterday, and stumbled upon a cute Chicago themed hot dog spot on the main strip of downtown Seaside. We ordered two Chicago dogs, a regular hot dog, a basket of fries, a baked potato, and two orders of mini corn dogs. The restaurant was a cute little spot decked out in Chicago Bears memorabilia. The employee was extremely polite and helpful. The food came out fresh, hot, and quickly and was affordable for the amount of food we received. We ordered the chili dog and the western bbq dog. Both were delicious and the hot dog itself was high quality. The French fries were seasoned with salt and pepper and fried perfectly. Step up your French fry eating game and dip those bad boys in ranch dressing for a different flavor profile. We will definitely be going back and trying the Seattle dog and the Donnie. Very nice gent running the show. I stopped in cold and wet in the off-season and chomped through a Chicago Dog, which is probably the best way to sample the wares at a hot dog emporium. Honestly, it was a little flat. No comparison with Matt's Famous in Seattle. I'd probably eat a Costco dog (don't judge; they're juicy and rich) before returning, but the service attitude was genuinely top-tier. Three stars for food that was... pretty good. But will up it to 5 due to the service and how friendly the guys are....despite the fact that they're Chicago Bears and White Sox fans. This is a pretty cool joint, serving up some classics for the beach days. The seaside dog was loaded with more bacon than I could have ever imagined. The Mac and cheese made it just ok. It just was not overly flavorful. The nacho dog was delicious and balanced the flavors very nicely. Also, I'd recommend the corn dog. They are huge and very tasty as well.
