Fantastic taqueria!! If you are driving along Highway 120 out of Manteca, this is a must-stop location. Great quality, very pleasant service. These are some of my favorite dishes: -ricas quesabirria de res: delicious stewed beef wrapped in tortillas and onion/cheese -the regular al pastor nachos: if you are in a hurry, this is a good dish for the road. Delicious pork and fresh salsa piled on top of crisp nachos. There is a "super" version that includes guacamole/sour cream, I believe. -tacos de nopales: prickly pear cactus (nopales/nopalitos are the flat pads of the nopal/prickly pear cactus) is my favorite. These tacos are the perfect, light dish for a hot day. Also, if you (or you yourself) are on a road trip with a vegetarian/vegan, then I believe this is a good plant-based dish for them as well. I've stopped here almost every time on my way through the area - it's become a ritual at this point. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Definitely try this place out!

We made multiple orders and they had a very nice service. I ordered birria tacos but only their taco truck has the consome but it was great either way!

Took a chance drove outside of Manteca only a couple minutes. Location is prime hella parking and really clean. Taco truck super clean, food fresh and hot and great customer service. Tried 3 tacos asada, alp Astor and carnitas all really good but the carnitas was my favorite. Take a chance take a little drive thru the country you won't be disappointed.

We stopped by on the way home from Knights Ferry and my husband recommended we stop. I told him I wasn't sure because most food trucks take cash only. I asked and bingo! She accepted card. Food was delicious and we will definetly be coming here from Manteca for our taco truck cravings! I got ceviche and my husband got a carnitas burrito that was too good to not ask for a bite or two! The two ladies were very nice and the area was clean!

I absolutely love this little gem. I have ordered their burrito and tacos and they were both some of the best I've had in a long time. I actually try to make an effort to come every Friday when I can! Staff is very nice and understanding! Please show them some love!

Birria tacos are amazing! Friendly people and are fast to get food out without sacrificing quality.

Everything is priced very reasonably, too. Food: Two enchiladas with carne asada: 5/5 -- I prefer the salsa verde, but you can do red or both! Their big plates come with rice and refried beans. Bean dip: 5/5 -- I could come here just for this! Warm refried beans with crema, queso fresco, and salsa verde. Chips & Salsa: 5/5 -- Some of the chips are nice and puffy, which is a fun and different texture as you go through the basket. I always ask for extra salsa to eat with my meal! Service: Our servers have always been friendly and attentive! Ambiance: They play a mix of different Latin music, and they don't blast it through the speakers. The decor is cute and their bathroom is always clean!

She said it will coast extra for slices of limes or lemon. She said that Is their rule...it blew my mind That asked for limes for Mexican Food At charge . That was Greed and lacked any customer Satisfaction for 2 slices of lemon or lime. It is common practice that all Mexican Latino restaurants, taquerias, That serve Mexican food will Not charge for 2 slices of lemon or lime Cmon el Jardin you lost a good customer Over charging for lime slices...unbelievable It's the point of them just being greedy . Also on all Honesty el jardin manteca is priced way over the top for average Mexican food. !

Place has a salsa bar and some limited seating. I ordered the carne asada super quesadilla as well as two chicharonnes tacos and a horchata. Was given a tray for chips and two cups for the salsa bar. Salsa bar was pretty good they had a lot of options as well as grilled/pickled veggies. Food came out and the quesadillas were sliced in a narrow way which i liked cuz i can dip in the salsa. Tacos were also good and flavorful. Overall great place for Mexican food. For sure would come back and try their ribs or other meats.

I was initially hesitant about the chicharrones since they cost $5.00 each and looked a little old. I asked if they were fresh, and they assured me they were. The nice lady convinced me to get a half pound for $10.00, which is usually about three pieces. Surprisingly, when I got home and opened the box, I found a few extra pieces--thank you! Unfortunately, the pieces were really tough, and even with a sharp knife, they were hard to cut. The flavor overall was good; I just wish I could've eaten them when they were soft and tender. The other highlight was the fresh homemade corn tortillas that came with the whole chicken I purchased. The chicken cost $23.00, which is expensive, but it was definitely worth it. The smoky flavor was delicious, and the tortillas were great. The last thing I'll mention is that their salsa bar had a nice variety of choices. The pork belly chicharrones aren't a deal breaker for me. I'll give this place another try, and try some of their other options. I encourage anyone interested to do the same.

But the recent changes to the Monday/Wednesday happy hour tacos caught me off guard. The deal now requires everyone at the table to buy alcohol, not just one person -- and the tacos themselves have gotten smaller, too. I don't really have a problem with the alcohol policy itself; that's pretty standard for happy hour. What got me was the service. I sat at the bar for nearly 20 minutes and the bartender ignored me the whole time -- no greeting, no heads-up about the new policy, nothing. Had someone just told me, I would've sat in the dining room from the start. No signage, no note on the menu, no acknowledgment at the bar. All around, a disappointing experience. I'll probably still be back -- back to my usual fajita salad -- but good things can't last forever, I guess.
