    Chorizo breakfast burrito!
    Janet M.

Didn't mean to come here but glad we did! Ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito with no pico de gallo! It was huge and delicious! A bit on the spicy side but so yummy! It cones with all the fixings, like avocado with no extra cost. The horchata was good and not overly sweetened. Glad we got to experience this place! It's always great to experience good places away from home!

Nice family owned taqueria, super burritos are $13.50 and large Mexican cokes in the bottle are $4.50, lots of parking in front. Free chips and sala, when dine in. The super burritos ingredients were a bit light, but tasty.

    Fabulously delicious ceviche!

This Taqueria is hidden in a tiny corner behind WheelWorks and a Hispanic grocery store. Service is efficient, prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of room to sit. This is the kind of place locals go to, and there were several families seated nearby. I ordered a à la carte ceviche, and it was incredibly delicious! Made fresh daily with fresh tilapia and just the right amount of seasonings for a spicy-adverse person like me. On the wall, are numerous framed photos of the owner with various sports team players-- something he's definitely very proud of this. Plenty of parking available .

    Large horchata $3.50

My new go-to Mexican spot. I've tried so many places around Petaluma and this by far is the best bang for your buck. Everything comes in huge portions, including the drinks. I didn't get a picture of our burritos because we were so hungry, but they were amazing. We got 1 carne asada super burrito and 1 shrimp + carne asada burrito. SO GOOD! The service is great, everyone is nice and friendly. And the food is out in less than 15 mins. I took it to-go but next time we're dining in! It was very clean and tidy inside. Also, I love that they have stamp cards, you get a free entree after your 10th visit.

Carnitas Taco, Al Pastor Taco, and Carne Asada Meat Taco. Came with chips and salsa (salsas are on the spicy side but delicious)

Food is top notch; maybe the best tacos I've had outside of Mexico. Service is great; the owner is very welcoming and helpful. I've had catering done here as well and it's by the tray/container so the pricing is extremely affordable unlike a lot of other places that charge per person. Must come here! This is my new go to taqueria in Petaluma

The hours that they posted for being open and we arrived at 925pm. They could have made it to go.

Don't go here!!! We went in at 925pm and looked at the menu. We go to order and the girl tells me that it's closed. On the door it's says that open till 10 M thru Sun. Go to El Roy's across the street. They are always polite and the food is delicious.

Service - the gal behind oysters bar was very skilled, very informative, and kept the food comin'. She created I wish I could call her out by name but it wasn't on the receipt that was texted to me. Food - on a scale of 1 to 10 it was an 11! * Lemonade was had good lemon taste and just the right acid/sugar balance. I learned that a batch is made each day, and occasionally two. The best I've had anywhere in Sonoma County or Marin County! * I order the first three items on the oyster list (this time two of each) and came up with a new favorite. Then I added four more to the favorite. At 81 I don't do well on short term memory! I love that what was done so right was the lemon and the mignonette (sp?) sauce that was exactly balanced. The last restaurant in Ptown and two absolutely terrible with a red and a white. * Next I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail. They screamed fresh, perfectly boiled that let the shrimp flavor out, and again the red sauce was perfectly balanced between flavor and heat. Had to made in house. And they just nicely crisply cool, not in a cold place that overwhelms the flavor. I don't think I've every had one this good! * Next was a pair of fried oysters. I was prepared for some oily, bready things that would ruin all of the above. BUT NO, the perfect balance was incredible!! * Last was the clam chowder. I'm soooo fussy about this after growing up in the NorthEast (Connecticut) and 4 years of college in Maine blew this one away. It lacked the perfection and freshness of my East Coast standard. But I finished with the last of lemonade and all was well. My standard has never been "perfect." I don't meet that standard, so the chef shouldn't have to either. Hey, maybe he's never been in Maine! P.S. there's not section for this, because the above doesn't happen without OWNERS that create processes and hire people that and buy the best incredients. Kudos, gals!!

I'm a big fan of spice, so I had the Mojarra Frita a la Diabla, and my husband went the safe route and ordered the shrimp tacos. The mojarra was fresh, spicy, and delicious! Ofcourse due to the shenanigans of the previous night, we over ordered and also tried the empanadas and the camarones a la cucaracha and oh boy, they did not disappoint! The roach shrimp lol were crispy and decadent. The green salsa the empanadas go with is heavenly spicy. Am I a *little* crazy for driving 1.5 hours from SF just to try out a new seafood boil spot?…read morePossibly...and left not disappointed. I enjoy more of an "asian" taste when it comes to seafood boil flavors, so the fact that this place has hotpot only made my expectations higher. Prices are fair, and there were empty spots with no line by the time I left (6PM). I ordered 1lb of head on shrimp, clam, and mussel with the combo of potatoes, corn and sausage, with a side of garlic noodles. The highlight is the Simmer Sauce, which is a sweet, spicy, and a little savory/garlicky. The medium packed a kick, so I would definitely get mild for the low spice tolerance people. Shrimp was huge and tasted pretty fresh. Clams varied in size with some clam meat being smaller than others. Mussels were solid, but I noticed we had a couple of closed shells. The garlic noodles paired perfectly with everything, acting both as carbs and great for dipping in the sauce. Although this place beats most if not all seafood boils in the bay area, I had to wait about 30min for my garlic noodles. My server claimed they were making a new batch, but it was a little disappointing having mostly finished everything before they were served. I also had to flag my server down instead of them coming over for updates on my order and getting my bill. The seafood boil came within 10min otherwise though.

I've loved every single food item i've tried from here, all the different ceviches, the Tallarines Verdes, Adobo de Cerdo, Lomo Saltado??? But sadly, I will say, the last two times i've been here, (since July of 2026), I've been disappointed with the Aji de Gallina. Something is different. The chicken tastes drier now, and the sauce isn't quite what it used to be. I'm not sure if the recipe was changed, but please know I am devastated and heartbroken to no longer be able to get my favorite dish and have it taste like it once did. Will it stop me from coming here? No. But I needed to make it known that the change to this dish made someone who once couldn't deviate from eating it if I tried, turn into someone who now refuses to order it because I can't bank on it being as delicious as it once was. And for that, my heart hurts. Still love u guys tho.

I had a 6:30 p.m. reservation and even received a text the night before asking me to confirm, which I did. When we arrived, however, the person at the front, who also ended up being our waiter, seemed unaware of our reservation and didn't appear to check for it. He simply said he could still seat us and took us to a table in the back of the restaurant. The back area did not have nearly the same ambience as the front, which was disappointing because the atmosphere mentioned in several reviews was one of the reasons I chose the restaurant for a special occasion. I mentioned this to him but decided not to make an issue of it since we were there to celebrate. The pasta choices were also somewhat limited for anyone who doesn't eat pork or certain types of seafood. Several sauces contained a combination of pork and beef, while others included cod or anchovies. They were kind enough to prepare my pasta with a tomato sauce containing capers and black olives, but unfortunately I found the sauce extremely tart. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. Once our food and drinks arrived, we barely saw our waiter. My partner eventually had to go to the bar herself to order a cola. As she was walking back to our table, a waiter came rushing out of the kitchen and collided with her, causing the drink to spill, including some on her blouse. He quickly apologized, but no one returned with a replacement. She eventually had to flag someone down to get another drink. We had also brought our own mini cakes for my son's birthday. When it was time for dessert, I had to find our waiter and ask for them. He simply handed us the bag containing the desserts along with a lighter. He did offer to bring us a candle, but we had brought our own. I certainly wasn't expecting anything elaborate, but for a birthday celebration I would have appreciated the cakes being placed on plates and brought to the table, perhaps with the candle lit. We also were never asked if we wanted coffee or anything else with dessert. Our waiter was polite, but unfortunately he was simply not attentive. I chose not to complain that evening because it was my son's birthday, we had guests with us, and I didn't want to put a damper on the celebration. By the end of the meal, I was honestly just ready for the evening to be over. One final surprise was discovering on the bill that there is an additional charge for paying by credit card rather than cash. Despite our experience, I still left an 18% gratuity. I normally tip more when the service is excellent. I really wanted to love this restaurant, especially after reading so many good reviews and choosing it for such a special occasion. Perhaps we simply caught them on an off night, but unfortunately our first experience was disappointing and not the birthday dinner I had hoped to give my son.
