Friendly professional service, our server was very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice dining experience. Great food options, with a lowcountry inspiration. The menu is lowcountry focused and the food is executed beautifully. We started with a dozen of the local oysters, they were fresh, sweet and delicious, a solid start. After giving the menu a good perusal, my dinner companion went for the evenings special. The evening special was, shrimp and crab ravioli. This is a generous portion of nicely prepared ravioli's filled with a sweet succulent crab and then whole shrimp in a rich cream sauce. Presented simple and clean, she said it was delicious, and my sampling of it was just that. Pan seared red fish over etufee was my choice, again a very good meal. A nice serving of perfectly cooked Red fish mixed over a generous portion of etufee. Spicy, succulent, full flavored. It was a really solid selection and very good. A couple sides to go with our entrees, the mashed potato and brocolli, both were done well, simple and tasted good as you would expect. The biscuits, oh those biscuits. The biscuits were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience and well worth the effort, good lowcountry food done well. As well reservations are recommended especially on the weekends. 4 Stars - recommended 01075

I had the jambalaya, which was a little too tomatoey and short on andouille and chicken. My wife had delicious fried shrimp. An overall good experience.

As a Louisiana transplant, I definitely appreciate the focus on Creole/Cajun cuisine. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Cobb Salad and a cup of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo. The Cobb Salad was phenomenal--huge, loaded with all the classic toppings, and packed with crispy bacon. I asked for grilled shrimp on top (not listed, but available if you ask), and they were big, perfectly cooked, and added the perfect touch. 10/10. The gumbo was a filé-style, and while the texture and balance of chicken, andouille sausage (which had a great kick), and rice were just right, the broth itself was a bit one-note--mainly the filé flavor came through. I probably wouldn't order it again, but to be fair, I make a pretty killer gumbo myself, so I might be spoiled! I'm already planning my next visit to try the chargrilled oysters (all the varieties!), plus the étouffée and jambalaya. Stay tuned for updates--this place is definitely on my radar!
