Best tacos in Waco. Lowkey a hidden gem bc it's nestled on the side of the highway. The only downside is that they only take cash, but prices are reasonable compared to the ones on La Salle. You go up to order and they let you sit in your car and when it's ready they flash a light at your car so you know it's ready. The pastor is amazing and their sauce is sosososo spicy it's delicious!

Get the elote! It was so delicious. Next time I'm in Waco, I'm coming back here! This is a hidden gem, close off the highway.

Tacos were great had two pastor, 1 asada and 1 barbacoa. Not too greasy or fatty. Pastor has a lot of flavor. Have options for flour or corn tortillas. My buddy said the chorizo was smoky and good too! Only have 2 outdoor tables to eat at.

    (2) Tacos de asada and (1) carnitas taco with cebolla and cilantro. Delicious!

Finally an authentic taco truck in Waco I can go to. Since moving to Waco from souther California it's been rough finding one good taco spot. Most "authentic-ly" claimed taco vendors or restaurants aren't great. The products they portray or sell are usually Tex-mex, and NO that's not authentic. Mia Maria's embodies that authenticity by they product, flavors and aromatic meats! I've been to Mexico and their food is comparable to that of Mexico! Would highly recommend!

I'm sorry but the asada burrito had no flavor. Luckily I got two Al Pastor tacos. Those were good.

I went to Baylor University and would frequent La Milpa for my late night food needs. Recently I…read morewas driving from Austin to Dallas and decided to stop halfway in Waco and check out my old taco spot. Since I went there they have upgraded the setup and now have a good amount of covered seating and a television (used to be a projector). Main thing I recommend is their Agua de melon, I actually hated melon before drinking this and it single handedly made me appreciate melons. It is a generously large cup and so cold, refreshing and sweet. Sometimes I would order 2 because its that good. Tacos were better than I remembered with al pastor tasting well marinated and corn tortillas absorbing a lot of flavor. Not pictured was the chicken quesadilla I ordered which was and always is extremely filling and delicious. I would recommend asking for some extra salsas if you order the quesadillas but for the money such good value. Last thing I will say is the service is incredible, one of the women that used to serve me was there and she is incredibly nice, helpful and just adds to the overall great experience here. Definitely will continue to stop by and get that Agua de melon and tacos on road trips!

I sent my fajita back and they gave me $5 back saying they are $2.50 they still owed me $0.50 their agua frescas are powder they don't taste good either. Would not recommend

The waitress was sweet, but remained slow throughout the entire meal. Our waitress never offered drink refills, and we waited extended periods for a to-go box and our check before finally going to the cashier ourselves. The biggest issue was a strong sewage-like odor coming from the restroom area. We were seated nearby, and every time the bathroom doors opened, the smell drifted into the dining room. Even the handwashing station in the dining area had the same unpleasant odor. The food looked great when it arrived, and the chips and salsa seemed fresh. However, I was disappointed to learn they no longer serve guacamole with their fajitas. The chicken fajitas arrived sizzling hot, but became very dry as they cooled. They were spicy, but lacked much flavor. The rice and beans were good. Overall, between the slow service, unpleasant smell, and mediocre food, I would not return or recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Waco that I'd try before coming back here.

There's so much seasoning on them that you don't get to appreciate the salsa because the chips are overpowering.. A restaurant with this type of quality needs to have chips that are made in house without anything other than salt.
