This is a food truck in the same defunct car wash lot as El Super Taco, I think it's only a few…read moreweeks old or so. Food trucks are not really my thing, but I live nearby and i had basically nothing to eat at home at the time, and it was a long time since i've had Cuban food, so off i went. They don't seem to speak English and my Spanish is very weak, but I ordered the ropa vieja. There wasn't much vegetables in it and I think the dish normally has a good amount of bell pepper, but the meat was very tasty. It came with plenty of rice, a container of red kidney beans with potatoes, some yuca/cassava, and a small simple salad with lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices, a piece of avocado, and a lime wedge, and a can of Coke for just over $18. Though I'd hoped for more peppers in the ropa vieja, i got plenty of fresh tasty food and had enough for some leftovers the next day, so i was pretty happy with what i got, in fact i'd say this place offers a great value - the menu didn't even list the beans and yuca, and i didn't ask for a drink, so i got more than i expected. I think they're kind of new to the food truck and/or food service game, as it took a bit of fumbling to process my card payment, and they first offered me up my food on actual ceramic plates, which is nice that they have that option, but i generally don't like eating outside and it was freakin' cold out! But they did bag it up for me when a bilingual guy eating there (must've been a hardCORE food truck enthusiast) helped me out by letting them know I wanted it to go. And I'm really glad they take plastic; one of the things that turns me off about food trucks is that there seem to be an awful lot that will only take cash, and not too many people actually carry much cash these days, not me anyway. Though we had the language barrier going on, i got a nice vibe from these folks, the food was good, and like i said, i thought it was a great value, so I'll definitely be back, and i'm looking forward to trying their Cuban sandwiches and other dishes. This might be the motivation for me to learn more Spanish.
If you are in fact a food truck/eating outside fan, they do have a sort of walled off area with a door right in front their truck, so there is at least protection from the wind and bugs.
