Tucked away in a quiet, unassuming spot in Cumming, this taqueria has FOUR muy delicioso stand-out salsas and authentic Mexican tacos, burritos, fajitas... my yummy steak, beans and cheese burrito was piping hot, and so large I took half home! The fajitas that came out to a table nearby looked REALLY good and the steak fries sound wonderful so we will return. Seeing many Latinos eating there confirmed my friend's assertion that this is authentic! I came here after a coworker recommended this spot. This place appears to be a hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant. This spot is located off Veterans Memorial Blvd. The parking lot is small but your able to park around to the side. Walking in, you can tell this is going to be some real authentic Mexican food. The nice front clerk took my order. I ordered the Steak Burrito that came with salad and rice. I also got the green melon juice which was amazing. Idk what it is what it was but it was great. I am definitely going to have to get some more. Food was brougt out to me very fast. The portion was huge and really filled me up. The steak burrito was amazing and tasted so good. The Mexican rice was moist and little sticky. It's probably the best Mexican rice I have ever had! I am super excited to come back and try out their other stuff on the menu. Very good Mexican food! The steak and chicken were both well seasoned and the torta and burrito portions were big. I love the open kitchen concept. The burrito came with a salad, which ended up just being shredded lettuce with tomatoes on top. So not really a salad in my mind. The queso was really good but the chips were too thick for my preference. The ambiance is a little plain/severe and felt more like a cafeteria than restaurant. That being said, if their goal is more about quick service it's fine. (You do order at the counter) Looking forward to coming back to try a few of their other lunch options but probably won't come for dinner since they don't serve alcohol. read more

Great authentic Mexican food. Prices are very reasonable. We shared a taco, two gorditas, and a quesadilla with rice. It was all good! The asada was a little better than the pollo, as the pollo was just a little dry. The rice is also super good! Yelp says they close at 8:30, but they told my husband they're open till much later. Sorry to say I wasn't overly impressed. It's a stand alone building that's real easy to pass unless you know where it's at, that's fine. It's hardly the only place that this can happen to. I took a 30 minute drive because of all the good reviews. The food wasn't bad but it came out like warm at best. The portion size was fine and except for the temperature it tasted fine. The atmosphere wasn't anything great either. A fairly good sized sitting area but all metal tables and chairs that are not comfortable at all. Also, I didn't know it's not a full service place meaning you don't get seated with a menu and a server to take care of you which is what I was hoping for. They don't have or at least offered any chips and salsa, I didn't see anyone eating any so don't expect any or guacamole since the guy you order from a menu board said they don't have any. I ordered a veggie burrito which again was a good size and tasted fine but had no queso or any kind of sauce. I do think the woman who brought the meal was asking if Wi needed any sauce but had such a strong Hispanic accent I didn't really understand her. I just said no, so maybe they'll give you some but I've never received a burrito from a Mexican place so naked. I enjoy going to Mexican places and trying different ones but yet to find one that stands head and shoulders above any other. There are do many that claim or other reviews say are authentic. I've never been to Mexico so wouldn't know anyways but they all seem basically the same. I have a at least five Mexican restaurants near me and should have just went to one of those and at least saved on gas. This place seems like it's basically for day workers to go grab lunch which is fine but not my cup of tea. It's pretty much a larger version of gas station type places. I don't like dumping on places and I have very few negative leaning reviews I also don't ever expect any extravagant experience but I do want to at least enjoy my experience better. read more
