This place felt like the epitome of a Texas roadside taqueria. The service was very efficient, and we got our food super fast for our party of 16. I had the Mexican Plate, which was a huge portion for a good price. It tasted really good, but some of my friends noted that the presentation made the food look unappetizing. There were so many items on the menu, and they all looked pretty much the same, so I think they should scale it down because the vast number of options is overwhelming and offputting. I love stopping by when I visit my family in Beeville. My all time favorite enchiladas & their tortilla soup is delicious!!

Maybe the regular menu is better, but I showed up and it was buffet style lunch. The enchiladas had what tasted like spray cheese and nothing else. It was just a tortilla with cheese. Canned vegetables and nothing that I enjoyed. Price was cheap, but I would have rather paid for better food. Edit--- I just changed my review, after seeing the bathroom. What deserves 1 star, maybe if you get food poisoning? Hmm, I'd like to give them one star, but I'll post 2 for now. The bathroom was the dirtiest I've seen in any restaurant, in my life. I've been to cleaner dive bars. I'm certain it had not been cleaned all season. There was what looked like and probably was, shit smeared on the wall. I'm not kidding or exaggerating. I'm not from a competitors place. I don't even live in Texas. Just sharing disgust... I would never eat here again and wish I hadn't after seeing the bathroom. We have eaten here on multiple occasions over a period of years and have always had excellent service and food. The supreme nachos are terrific as well as the breakfast tacos. We've also had the Carne Guisada tacos which were delicious. I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. read more

Was not that great... Buffet was stocked with items, meatloaf, turkey An dressing, shrimp, fish, ham, An cheese enchiladas. All was basic, semi decent food., could have offered more Mexican food on the buffet being it was a Mexican food restaurant. There are approximately 20 taquerias in Beeville--an exaggeration, but seriously, there are a TON. This is the best one, in my opinion. Prices are very reasonable, the food is pretty good, and the service is usually quick and attentive. Their cooking style is Tex-Mex to Northern Mexico types, so expect things like smothered burritos and enchiladas alongside items like street-style tacos, carne asada, and more authentic foods such as menudo and tripas. On Sunday evenings, they have chicken caldo, which is a lot like chicken tortilla soup, and it is ahhh-mazing. I don't care for their carne guisada. It has a lot of cumin, which I don't care for in large quantities, but everything else I've had there has been really, really good. read more

I decided I wanted Mexican good for lunch, pulled up my Yelp app, and whatdoyaknow? It pulled up this taqueria. You seat yourself (there is no hostess), my daughter and I sat down and waited for about 5 minutes before someone came to our table (my daughter was getting impatient and was ready to leave.) Our drink order was taken and we were brought chips and salsa. My daughter wanted cheese so I ordered that as well. I'll start off by saying I LOVED the queso. It actually taste like -- well, cheese!! With a hint of spices. Sometimes I go eat at other restaurants and it taste more like water (1 star!!) then, I ordered the tacos with charro beans. The beans were more of a tex mex style (not the traditional charro beans in the typical Mexican household) no bacon was in the beans but ground beef... I've never had it like that but they were Okay. My tacos were good overall, just a little greasy. But they were tacos and satisfied my hunger. Meat (carne guisada) had a good flavor and it was soft. The waitress was really helpful and didn't allow my drink to get less than half glass full and was very attentive although not the most friendly and never saw her smile. Wanted to find a quick place to grab breakfast and found this place via Yelp. All of the good reviews were right on. Good food and great service. Everyone had something different and all enjoyed. Portions were large. Since this was our first time, the waitress was willing to allow us to sample items if they were prepared already. They have a breakfast buffet on sat and sun, which looked good also. Prices were very reasonable. A lot of locals and place was full. Will definitely try again when in the area. read more

My husband and I were very disappointed. We wanted to try a New Mexican eatery in Beeville. We arrived before 2:00 PM and were trying to decided whether to try the buffet or order off the menu. Our thought was let's try the buffet since it was less expensive and we can decide if we like their food. I noted the sign that said the price went up after 2:00PM but we had arrived before that and thought no problem. The ribs were boiled. The enchiladas were cold rolled up in tortillas that were not cooked and from the grocery store. The meatloaf was passable. On the positive side we had a wonderful waitress. I will give one star for the waitress. We received the bill and upon checking out they charged us for being there after 2:PM. I explain the the checkout girl we were here before 2:00PM and she just gave me a awful dirty look. I told my husband just pay it and let's get out of this place. I guess you have to check out exactly 2:00PM or before to get that price. We won't be going back. read more

Food is not great. Take into account that you do have a variety of options in this town. Help seems to be done on regulars preferred and first served. So if passing through keep passing if busy. Had issue with food not being prepped or heated to satisfaction. when they "replaced" plate it actually meant we are going two charge you for two plates. Overall very unhappy with food or service. Very bad communication between servers and cooks as well. If they run out of something they fail to inform you until they bring it out and of course its missing. No accountability from there end. No unlike other places in town its there way or the highway. no sign of customer care read more

Came to visit family in texas, and this is the place they recomended for breakfast. Quick and really good for the price. I had the traditional mexican breakfast and it was just like grandma's :) comes with homemade salsa and fluffy flour tortilla's as well. 4 big plates under 20$. Just moved back to town after being gone 6 years. Man this place has gone downhill. Carne Asada is nothing but gristle, fat and char from grill not being scraped. Beans are out of a can now. Enchiladas hardly have any cheese and the sauce on them tastes weird. The manager is awesome though. She always tries to correct the problems but she's fighting a losing battle. read more

I only gave one star because 0 aren't available. Where to start with a restaurant that looks like it's going to be good from the outside... I ordered a Asada burrito plate. The burrito was covered in what looked like processed cheese and enchilada sauce. The refried beans were small in portion and out of a can. The Spanish rice was lacking flavor as well. I asked for guacamole and to my surprise (if any) was not in the bag. So what else could be wrong with this frozen reheated and served late lunch you ask. Everything including the horchata tastes like dish soap.. very disappointed and will surely be telling everyone I can to steer clear until this establishment can get some fresh ingredients and less soap to cook their food...the end. read more
