The tacos are traditional Mexican style. Try the al pastor. Do it.

Crown Cantina exceeded our expectations for brunch. The Breakfast Burrito was packed with flavor,…read moregenerously portioned, and wrapped in a perfectly crisp tortilla that gave every bite great texture. It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. It was beautifully balanced, full of bold, authentic flavors, and expertly prepared. One of my brunch-mates spends much of the year traveling through Latin America, and he was genuinely impressed. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! Attentive service and a beautiful location in Downtown Cincinnati's quiet Pendleton neighborhood made the morning perfect.

Surprised I've not heard of this place before my brother suggested we try it (some Bengals player…read morerecommended it on a podcast I guess). This is a solid place! I didn't think I'd find something that could compete with Bakersfield but this does. It has unique flare without being over the top like some places can. Like pairing pickled veggies with my shrimp? Yes please! Ceviche was a little on the smaller side. Its flavor was there but price to size wasn't worth it to me. Recommend the grilled esquites as a side. I can't NOT get the charro beans because they were addicting. I could live on them in the winter. Tacos were so ed how you'd expect with homemade corn tortillas. Delicious, but I'd say Bakersfield pulls ahead just a touch with the tacos. Camerones Saadi's was delicious! I'd get it again, but still want to try some of their other mains. I did try dessert. Mind you I'm not huge on tres leches as it is so it might not be surprising that it wasn't my favorite. It was a tad on the drier side and textured (this was coconut tres leches so probably where the texture came from). I'd skip dessert the next go round maybe, unless they had some other fun seasonal things to try. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well! Especially the mezcal-based ones.

long story short: a lot of potential but too empty to deliver on the fun club energy…read more We went on Saturday night around midnight & the place was pretty empty. There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

It was a nice night so we took advantage of being able to sit outside. I love all the random art and set up of the back. To drink I had the chunker, which was gin in a San Pelegríno it was a very refreshing drink! Deceptively doesn't taste like alcohol. I noticed some people with white claws and little airplane bottles so naturally I have to have a strong claw as well. We also had some very tasty shots, all around we had a good time, just hanging out and enjoying drinks, can't wait to come back here and visit again!

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.

Food: 5/5 Dishes are explained as slightly larger plates than tapas style. My favorites: Wood Grilled Octopus, Crispy Falafel, Bouillabaisse. Love the Moroccan Mint Tea as well! Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.
