My friend and I went here for lunch! They had a lunch special where you can choose a appetizer, entree and dessert for a set price. For appetizers we got the nachos and the guac. The guac was very fresh and the nachos were cheesy and delicious then for entrees we tried different tacos from al pastor to carne asada. All the tacos were packed with flavor and were also very good. For dessert I got the cheesecake while my friend got the corncake. Both were but but nothing to write home about. I came here over a year ago and I genuinely still think about the tacos I had from time to time because they were so stunning!!!! They have a really nice variety of options of their menu, and the prices were very reasonable (like €4 or less per taco) and they were SUPER flavorful. I ate 3 tacos and was full, and we got a couple of their drinks (the agua tamarindo and the agua flor Jamaica) which were also very flavorful and sweet. Be aware you do have to pay for water but that's a general thing in my experience. The tacos we got were the campechana, trompa, cochinita pibil, pollo al mole, and choriqueso. My boyfriend was also very satisfied after having 4 tacos - they're decently sized, but he was a bigger guy. The restaurant has lots of small tables but it does get quite full - they do also have an upstairs seating area to help with this. We waited about 15 minutes from ordering until our food came so they are pretty fast about it given how busy the place was! It's located on a nice main road that is well lit, so good for late night snacks too which is when we went. Overall definitely recommend this taco place if you're in Barcelona and looking for a bite! read more

Well, I'm in Barcelona and Yelp is part of my food journey in finding dinner tonight. I found that there was this lovely taco restaurant a few minutes from my hotel. I set off like Columbus in order to find and conquer this unknown food craving. Upon reaching this restaurant, I will say that it is fairly small. It appeared to have reservations because it is Saturday night, so we were unable to eat inside. so I asked to take the tacos to go. My wish was granted. So we went inside. I sat at the bar and ordered. The bartender was very nice and directed me to some of the most delicious tacos that the restaurant offers. I also ordered a mango margarita which was quite fabulous as well. I will agree with some of the posts in that...This is a small restaurant and it's sort of a hole in the wall. I mean definitely a hole in the wall. If you were looking around and thought the way that this place looks might reflect on the actual food taste then you probably would turn around and run to the next spot. However, I have to say the food was quite delicious. I ordered the molec pollo taco and another one that had some braised beef inside. Both were quite delicious and I seemed to prefer the Pollo the best. We also had some guacamole which was great with thick chips that were just salty enough to complement the guacamole taste. So my journey was successful. I got two small tacos and that was just enough for me given that I did eat a little bit of food prior to setting off on this journey for better dinner tonight. I highly recommend this place if you want something quick and have a hankering for some Mexican/Spanish food flavors. read more

Fresh, great Mexican food. Quaint, small location with a really unique ceiling upstairs. We didn't have reservations and they made room for us. I love that they brought out both a salsa verde and a red salsa and explained that one was level 1 and the other level 2 hot...they were both amazingly flavorful! The picture of margaritas is fresh squeezed, the beef on the nachos were delicious chunks of marinated steak (don't miss the nachos) and now for the tacos... Not sure you could go wrong ordering anything. We had 4 different tacos and all were a taste explosion. Pirata tacos - not too much but perfect. Beef is excellent, the cheese on the bottom and the fresh avocado makes for a great taco. Choriqueso - cheesy chorizo goodness! Barbacoa - tender beef and full of flavor. Forgot the name of the last but it was a taco that had been soaked in the juice of the beef and it was good. My daughter who's been studying in Italy (where she can't get good Mexican) almost cried with delight. Great value too. read more

Worst Mexican I've ever eaten. Not fresh. Tasteless. We could sense that we were not welcome there. The server was very rude and literally threw our plates on the table. And it was overpriced. I couldn't even finish my food it was so horrible. The tacos were made with wheat and were undercooked. Chicken tasted like it was boiled and tasteless and it smelled bad. The tacos came with nothing tomar. No picó or rice or sauce. Ambience was shitty & too small and crammy. I will never recommend anyone to go there. read more

As a Mexican living in San Diego, my standards are quite high, but Taquerias Tamarindo blew my expectations. This was the best way to cure a hangover. I highly recommend the Nachos del Rancho as well as the taco pirata, gringa, and suadero (my personal favorite). The salsas and drinks were delicious as well. We had horchata and a michelada. What a delightful experience! Just a few blocks from the Rambla, this place has a very cool vibe with extraordinary food! Our party of three selected items from all over the menu and each was absolutely delicious. Each dish was made with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The staff graciously accommodated our various requests and didn't chase us out at the end of our meal... (we hadn't noticed that they "closed" 15 minutes before we left.) Holy Moly! We are from Arizona, and we were hankering for some Mexican food. This did not diapppint. Mango margaritas with Tamarind, were delicious! Tacos!!! Oh my! The whole table had fish tacos. Rude service. We have been traveling for the last 14 days in Spain and Italy and this was the weirdest experience we had so far. We were greeted at the door by a man and it was like we offended him immediately because we were American. I was very confused what was happening. He proceeded to tell us how busy they were but we let him know we were willing to wait. He continued to blow us off so we found another Mexican restaurant around town that was so amazing with the nicest staff. read more

Was blown away. They were busy but found us a place at the bar while I went to the bathroom. Pristine clean restrooms. Why I came back my daughter had already been moved to a table. Service was on point. And, the big one, they were the best tacos my daughter and I had ever had. I live in LA and have lived in Texas at different times, so the bar was high, and they cleared it. This place is a gem! I did not think we would get in when they asked if we had reservations, but after a few minutes wait, they found a table for us. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and I thought I was in a taqueria in Mexico. The tacos were outstanding! Our family took turns trying the tinga de pollo, Barbacoa, carnitas, and queso-birria. Each taco was expertly made and they all tasted so good. My favorite was the carnitas, they were flavorful and all of us enjoyed them. The chips and salsa were also very good. I enjoy really spicy salsa so our waiter offered to bring out some of their hottest salsa. It was definitely spicy without losing the great taste of the salsa ingredients. You're in Spain. You have a bizarre need for tacos. You see hip-ish Mexican restaurants scattered throughout the city and think for a brief weak moment that it's a good idea to go for it. And to be fair, it wasn't bad, but there is such a gap in ingredient quality and flavor that it just won't scratch the itch. It didn't help that I was there with an actual Mexican, and I was pretty sure there was no one on staff at Taquerias Tamarindo who could boast the same :) Better to just have more jamón serrano and patatas bravas and call it a day! read more

While two people who arrived after me were served first the food was amazing and the lady working was extremely nice. The three tacos I ordered with a beer were extremely delicious. It was so much food I didn't even want dessert. The meat was tender and the Spanish cheese in the tacos gave them quite a great flavor. It was extremely cheap to eat here as well. read more

If you want delicious tacos, look no further! This place exceeded my expectations. It has that street taco vibe and is cutely casual. The inside has a fair amount of seating even with Coronavirus distancing. I would recommend takeaway though. That might also be the only option right now. I ordered three tacos: shrimp, fish and al pastor, along with Jarritos. Superb and no fuss with a touch of ooh la laa. The tortilla is corn, of course, and comes fully-loaded with toppings. Eat with your hands, if you'd like. I ended up using a fork since I lack the dexterity required to consume such a delicate, loaded vessel without making a gigantic mess. A tip for this place: check out the menu of the day. I didn't order it, but I saw another patron order soup/stew that looked and smelled enticingly mouthwatering. Food is fresh and relatively fast, and the waiters have always been super friendly and speak English and Spanish. We walked in at 8PM without a reservation. Felt lucky to be seated without a reservation. Our waitress was turning others away who didn't have a reservation after we were seated. MAKE Reservations! Started with mango margaritas and the loaded nachos. Both were excellent! Ordered several tacos: pastor, carnitas, and birria tacos. They were all delicious and loved the fresh pineapple on the pastor tacos. Taco portions are small so order at least two. You won't be disappointed. Service was attentive. The flour tortilla and queso saved the pirata tacos though. Meat portions were generous, so 3-4 should fill up most people. Service is fast but not particularly friendly here. But no matter. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this taco restaurant because we were craving tacos. When we arrived the restaurant was crowded. We also noticed a lot of people passing by and looking at the restaurant. We were so hungry, so we ordered a lot of tacos. We also ordered horchata. I thought that the horchata was good, but I wish that it was sweeter. Our favorite tacos were the Campechana which consists of pastor adobo and carne asada meat. I'm so glad we found this place. My husband and I wanted a break from eating tapas while visiting Barcelona and found this place on Yelp. We are from CA and have access to really great Mexican food so we weren't expecting to be wowed by the food, but I have to say we enjoyed everything we had here. We liked it so much we went twice! My favorites were the Barbocoa and the Pastor. My husband really liked the Birria, which was like the Barbacoa except with cheese. I also tried the mole chicken taco, which was fine, but my taco had a tad bit too much sauce and could have been a little less sweet. The guacamole was also good as well as the lemon mojito -- both tasted fresh. I would recommend making a reservation if you can because they get really busy. Definitely recommend. read more
