I'm a big fan of fish & chips and was excited to try this place out at first. The food was absolutely disgusting and made myself and friend sick. They tasted like they had been sitting in a freezer for 10 months and got served to me. Insanely pungent smell and I thought it was from the vinegar. I threw up all night long and the owner called me a liar. The service was also horrible and my drinks were warm on a hot day. My cousin and I (sometimes with his Airedale) get the Irish breakfast on the weekends and it just satisfies this unexplainable itch. I opted for the Leffe Brun since they no longer serve Belgium Moon - fine. Tue beer was flat and they didn't offer to try it themselves or comp my beverage. Menu is not kids friendly. They offer a grilled Cheese and chicken strip (not on the actual menu). Very typical pub fair. If anyone in your party is looking for a healthier option on the menu, you won't find it. Went for dinner on a Monday night. It wasn't busy, but the only tables for 2 were awkwardly placed where the dancefloor would be, in the middle of the room. We opted for seating in bar area which was also awkward. These tables are truly only meant for drinks; very small, but others managed to squeeze 2 plates on them, so we did the same. The beer selection was terrible; I had set the bar higher since it was an Irish pub. They had all the usual suspects, Guinness(I guess that counts) and no local beer. I got the Fish & Chips and Dad went with Bangers & Mash. He said his was good, but the portion was a little smaller than he expected. My fish had thick batter and the fries were blah. This place has been here for a while now and only recently decided to check it out. The place looked like a typical pub. Friday at 5:30pm there was plenty of seating so it took no time at all to be seated. Looks like there is live music in the evenings so might a good little place to stagger home from if you have an urge for live music and cheap beer. The food was ok. We ordered the giant app platter. Can I say this to all severe..when-you need a smoke break don't smoke outside in-front of your hungry guests. Also maybe ask if you'd like the wings crispy. Beers were warm and Flat!! Going in I didn't quite know what to expect. There's a familiarity here yet it feels so foreign at the same time. Familiar is the crowd, name, logo and focus on luscious wings that of it's sister location, different is the space, menu and service. It was an ordinary Wednesday night, a night of wings and ribs special, some beef stew and the mythical chicken curry. Mythical because even though it is listed on the website, they stubbornly deny it as a special for the day. Their reasoning was that the website had not been updated for over 2 years; very well, I digress. Everything seemed to go downhill from there. Ribs were nicely poached I guess but didn't quite fall off the bone. I can't exactly say these qualify as barbecue. The sauce was however not quite as deceptive. It did not look great and it didn't taste like it either. All in all, a miserable half rack of ribs. I do commend them for cooking the wings well. They were very juicy and tender however again the sauce tasted the way it looks and it didn't look great. Honey wasn't honey enough, garlic wasn't garlicky enough and spicy..well you get the drift. She did however let us pack our unfinished ribs to go. She had to fight tooth and nail with the owner apparently as there is a policy against brown bagging leftover specials. I question this rule and it's validity for the current times; I guess this place has rules to match it's decor from the 70s. Don't waste your life here. read more

I was really disappointed with the food here. The atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly, but I probably would not return for the food alone. We came to watch a Jays game and the atmosphere for watching sports was a little disappointing for a pub. They have one large screen but the other smaller auxiliary screens are not in great locations, almost as if they are there for the staff and not the patrons. So I would not recommend this place for sports viewing. I might return to have some beers with friends, as the setting seems perfect for that, but not for the food or sports. Also, I ordered the famous wings that people seem to rave about and honestly was not that impressed, sure they were decent, but nothing to write home about. What can I say, it's a traditional pub. Fried foods, beer and dark wood trim, carpets and lighting. The patio is good, since it's really the only one in the area. I can't say that the food is anything special but, the service has always been great. My wife and I will stop in for a quick bevy when we can. Not at all bad considering several bad experiences in past years. A lot of clean-up and repairs have occurred. Seating is a bit awkward however due to the way the layout is designed. As a non smoker I was turned off by sitting near the window and having cigarette smoke come through the windows which ruined my meal. The windows were closed but obviously not sealed well. I walked into Tara Inna patio to have a good time having drinks with my Friend. But it did not work out because of poor management. The bartenders were pathetic. We were seated by ourselves because no one was there to greet the customers. After we sat the bartender came and told us to leave right away and we dont know why. I asked the reason behind and they said they weren't obligated to tell a reason. Is this how the customers are treated at a bar? The place seemed really nice and we came in and were asked to wait. We ordered some beers while we waited and waited over 50 minutes while we saw walk ins get let in beforehand. The manager we called over was extremely rude and told us "if we are gonna bitch we should just leave" the managers name was Maria. This is a regular Go To place for wings. The wings are great, big also. There is a nice salad on the menu with nuts and cranberries. The service is friendly and there are always regulars in the place. They have music on the weekends. I live in the neighbourhood and I notice they are generous when there are community events. There are TVS for those that want to watch sports. The St. Patrick's celebration here is really fun with the kids Irish dancing and music. read more
