It's ok. All Targets have a baseline of a variety of products we all need. But this one has a minuscule Dollar Spot / Bulleseye's Playground. That by itself is a major disappointment. Their Starbucks is tiny as well, but at least they have one I guess. They are also always sold out of stuff, and there are items on the shelves that have been tampered with by careless customers. One time I saw the same bottle of opened, melted gummy vitamins on an unstocked shelf every time I shopped there for several weeks until I finally showed it to employee. There are rows of cosmetics that have all been sampled and still on the shelves for sale. And they seem to be missing some products that other Targets in the area sell. It's still Target, though, hence 2 stars. read more

One of the worst customer service/Target experiences endured here: courtesy of the check-out cashiers. The original cashier for the checkout stand was talking on his mic (to another worker) most of the time--which delayed the line a while. He was talking to the mic/employee more than he was talking/attending to the customers. When it was my turn to be checked out, he threw a stack of bills into the bottom tray of the register & left w/o saying a word to me. Was he closed all of a sudden? Did he just quit? The world may never know. No word as to whether or not someone else is going to take over, I should go to another line, etc. Within a minute, a youngster jumps in to ring up my items. Fresh, energetic & more courteous than the previous cashier. Only problem is: he can't count/ work the computer properly. My total was $14.46. I gave him $20.46. He rung me up as paying the exact amount & gave me zero change back. "Umm.. I'm supposed to get something back?" I interrupted him as he began greeting the customers behind me. He seemed confused. I told him what I had paid & he wasn't sure anymore. The youngster seemed like an honest kid, but pretty clueless. It took him a while to figure out what my change was supposed to be. It could be from the pressure of seeing the never-ending lines & perhaps he was rushing, but miscounting will get him in trouble. Pretty sure both of them had to be seasonal (trainee) workers. This store is toooooo messy to shop. Customers are rude but it's the season for all that. You know, however, that it's bad when you hear store associates telling their bosses or superiors that they don't want to do something that's part of their job, like go-backs. Not only do associates want to avoid doing their jobs but they also want to avoid having to help shoppers. I wasn't able to find what I was looking for. I looked for someone to help me. This is my go-to Target besides the one in Rosemead. Awesome for snacks and house needs. Parking is plenty. I usually like going in late evening or night to avoid parking issues. It's pretty standard. Less crowded than Rosemead location. Workers are nice here. Layout is pretty standard. Cash register lines can definitely be hectic but one needs to be patient. Well, let's just say that I can count on 1 hand how many times I've been back. It just wasn't worth fighting the extra people in the parking lot any more. Also! KNOW YOUR PRICES BEFORE COMING!!! It seems they don't list the same prices as the other Targets. I got super giddy when I saw that The Little Mermaid and Cinderella bluray combo packs were on sale for $13 at Target (in store only) but they were out at the Glendale location so I called the Alhambra Target and asked them. A nice enough man answered and said he would check for me, 13mins later someone from the toy department takes me off of hold and said she'd transfer me to electronics. When the counter on my phone hit 15mins, I hung up. No one picked up the ringing phone in 2mins. That was yesterday and today I decided to physically visit the Alhambra Target and see if they had any copies available. Loo and behold! 1 of each left! But what is this? The dvds were on sale for $13 and the blurays were regular priced. That's weird. A trip to the price scanner confirmed that there was no discount. I went to customer service to ask about this and they said my price of $13 was correct. I informed the woman that their dvd counterparts were improperly priced and she told me that there was a difference between online prices and in store prices. I told her that online, it said "in store only" and she didn't seem to care and just rung me up. I'm glad they didn't sell out of the blurays because they improperly priced them but... We went to Target in Alhambra this evening. My wife was in line to paying for 300 dollars of gift cards for a children's center and I was stillI picking my cards to purchases for another center. The manager came over to me and was talking loudly saying you can't get the discount on these card because I saw you with that other person. My wife told her that these are christmas cards for children without families and my purchases are different than hers. She said you are not allowed to get a discount on the second set of cards. This is one of the smaller Targets out there, and while it still has the basics, it may not have the variety you want. In the evening, small children are everywhere, and much like the Alhambra drivers on the streets, people with carts inside have no clue what they're doing or where they're going, nor will they notice you trying to look at the shelf their cart's blocking. The parking lot's terrible. Whomever painted the lines on didn't really think about traffic in relation to the exits, and the lot's small to begin with, so you may be unable to park very close by. When Alhambra was my 'hood, I went to this Target, but now that I regularly go to several other, much bigger Targets, returning to this one today was very disappointing. Worst Target! Parking is always horrible but the worst part is they never have anything in stock! Every time I try to give this store a chance, they fail. Tonight I went and once again were out of everything I needed. From a simple crate of eggs to make up removable wipes-GONE. Shelves were so empty and they are not stocked up at all. I asked the girl at the register checking me out why they always seem to run out of stuff, she said to go to the store at 7:00AM. She said usually by 3:30PM the store sells out of merchandise. First and last time coming here. This Target is depressing! It's old, disorganized, dimly light, crammed, and has nothing in stock. Their frozen food section is actually a one door fridge at the end on the snack isle. I purchased about 1/4 of the things I needed simply because they didn't carry it. Stellar managers are rare these days, but Dom is one of the few that truly cares for his customers and has respect for his staff. There was a glitch with our Target Card (the store was having technical problems) and he offered us 10% off our purchase to use another card. Right after that, the computers started working again so that we could use our Target Card, but because he already gave his word he said he had to honor it. This Target is not like the Target that I have gone before. Its not very clean and I have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. If you wish to go there, be warned that they have skimp selection and are frequently out of stock. What really bother me was that there is occasional pan handling in the parking. A lady with a small child in the middle of parking lot. They were obstructing traffic and making it unsafe for everyone involved. Why do I fault Target? The store management could have done something about it but it appears that this particular store is poorly managed. I hope they do something about it. read more

Negative stars. Worst target ever. Online was out of an item and it said to pick up in store and get additional 10% off. First. They have no additional help to the check out lanes. We get to the express checkout and ask the kid who was just standing there where we apply for the extra discount. "I don't know" he said. So I asked to find someone who does. He finds an older lady to direct us to guest service. After the 5-10 mins waiting in line because only one person was working with 8 people deep she asks us to come up. We explained our situation and said she she can't do that. We showed her the online price and she was confused. "I guess they updated the pricing. I need the code for 10% off." We give it to her. "The code said order here and get 10% off." I told her we can't order. It's not available to order online because it's California King. Pick up in store only. She's confused and asked for help. Asian Filipino guy balding and chubby said we can't do it. It is policy. To appease the customer and make things right Target usually does give extra service to compensate the customers time and get the sale. Asian guy didn't care nor the older Hispanic lady. No wonder their shares of stock having been dropping. Their executive service member and store team leader should be aware of this. If not fired for not providing an exceptional target experience. I like to think I'm a pretty savvy shopper. My mom taught me to check the prices when they ring me up at the cash register and I sometimes find a mistake or two. But today on my shopping trip 3 things were over-priced! One thing that was $1 off, rung up at normal price and water bottles that were 2 for $8, rung up at $4.19 each, and the third item, a face wash that was $5.49, rung up at $6.09! With so many mistakes, it made me question the rest of my items' prices, but it was too late. I couldn't remember all the prices. Since I caught the mistake after I paid, I had to go to customer service and they had to do a refund and resell me back the items, which was time-consuming & very disappointing! read more

This Target is a bit smaller than the other branches I have been to, but I enjoy shopping here, because I can generally find everything I need. I love their clothing clearance, there are always plenty to choose from, and always in my size! Target, however, aren't as lenient with returns as other chain stores, so it is probably best to try things on and make up your mind before deciding to make a purchase. read more

I can't walk away since he's blocking my way. can we maybe give this 18yo a lesson in false arrest. im not required to show him anything, and since Target was so worried about said item; i returned it. asked for the "manager" and she was even less helpful with her "i dont knows" and "we dont do thats". if you ever get asked to show your receipt, WALK PAST THEM. why else would they check if not to make sure you were not stealing. read more

This is the closest target to my house. Today I went to purchase a keurig and I noticed that some of the boxes looked as if they were opened by customers. The keurig accessories were opened as well and tampered with. I then went to the clothing section and it was a disaster. I feel bad for the employees having to clean after nasty customers. I found shirts that were worn and had makeup stains around the neckline. Ladies, if you're going to try stuff on, be mindful of others and put shit back. This Target isn't that bad, the parking isn't bad at all. I've seen some people wait for 4 minutes behind a car waiting to get his spot when theres parking just a few yards away. Are people that afraid to walk a few more steps... Maybe its because of the Holidays, but tonight it was crowded. It's so warm in there because of everyone's body heat, and repeatedly you have to stop your cart and go around people who just stand there through all the traffic. This place always has what I want, but the clothes there are getting a bit on the expensive side. And just so you know, buy a size larger because once they shrink A LOT. One other thing to, they have their "Intimacy items" right at the start of the aisle so everyone can see you comparing which KY Jelly should you get while passing through. I would put it towards the end of the aisle towards the wall instead of out in the open, just makes it a bit awkward... Again, maybe its because of the Holidays but theres been more registers open so getting out has been quick. The people who work there are either teenagers who like to use the word Uh...a lot or older people. The cashier looked sick and she was working out in the cold in the garden section, I felt bad for her. If Target took care of their employees and put them through a more rigorous training as well as think of a new open layout, this Target would deserve 5 stars. read more

Worst Target EVER! Isles are overcrowded with pallets of items. It seems as though there isn't enough space to stock things so the isles are just full of overstock. The stock room looks like it threw up into the isles too. Not sure what happened with this Target but it's awful. I don't know why anyone is surprised to find out that a Target store is ALWAYS busy, HAS NO parking and is MESSY! Its Target people, not Bloomingdale's! Only reason for my 5 star review is because I go in, get what I need and go out. I know that the parking spots by the entrance are always full so i park on the other side. There is always a gazillion people in there so the cashier lines are always busy. Btw, there are new SELF CHECKOUT registers so that's cool. The times I've gone I always see employees stocking the shelves and helping customers. But then again, I usually visit target at 10 or 11pm. I often go here to buy school things like highlighters and binders because it is convenient. However, you don't know how many times I've had to go elsewhere to buy what I need since they keep their shelves poorly stocked, and what few binders they do have in stock of the size I need are always terribly bent or torn. Also, many other things are just throw around. It seems nobody organized their inventory and they rarely stock relative to the masses of people who come here to shop. Here is what happened with my shop experience with Alhambra CA Target . 12/2 evening, i came to store bought 6 packs Similac total confort infant formula,i checked their website is showing ($10 gift card with purchase of 3 select baby formula tubs), the cashier asked me go to guest service to do price math (in store price shows around $30) when i checked out. so i went to guest service and see the women name Patty who was super unfriendly!, she said usually you can only buy 5 Packs, but you can buy six this time since the website shows ($10 gift card with purchase of 3 select baby formula tubs) which ok to me. First night done. on 12/3 evening, I found bought wrong items and I came back again asked to exchange, however the same women who name Patty said you can exchange and only return. ok, it's fine for me. I did return and went to grab 6 items Similac organic. The cashier tried to help our to do price match when i checked out, however he didn't have authority and asked me go to guest service again. This time, PATTY said oh you only can do the price match for one item? do you want see the policy? if you want get $10 gift card, you have to go to website buy it? WTF, do you ever know if i can buy it online i would never come the store? your Target website show me Purchase in store only? so what is going here? So I feel like after they "renovated" the store and changed up the displays they've made the entire store far more cluttered. The aisle ways are too small to get carts through, I just don't understand. This is typically the reason I have loved Target more than other places. I don't know if they are short staffed but it's like they are trying to figure out where to put inventory and it's in the aisles OR like right now during Christmas it's like a tornado went through it 100% of the time. It's just frustrating to get thru the store now, I wish they would clean it up and take a cart thru all the areas to see if things actually fit. read more

Hi good morning guest. I just had the worst experience at the Alhambra Target in California. Just went in there to return some organic brown eggs that I purchased last week not realising thethe expiration date was pass due. So I went in this morning to simply exchange them and they gave me such a hard horrible time in the process yet alone they did not want to help me in the exchange in the first place just kepkept harassing me giving me intimidating looks. I am very disappointed at the company at these people and the entire store for just walking in asking for an exchangeexchange. I will follow this complain to corporate because of the intimidation they gave me. I'm a retired woman that will nonow on take my buissness elsewhereelsewhere. Please do not shop at this Alhambra Target for the employees including a manager who is just rudelessrudeless and useless. They are unprofessional . This is my target. I think I come here at least once a week. I love the variety of food they installed! And the Starbucks is great! The only reason I took one star off is because whenever I ask an employee for something they don't know how to handle me. They try to give direction on where it is and I'm like "Please just take me there". The employees don't seem that knowledgeable or happy to be working there.
