Called their customer service department to see if they had ginger bread house kits. Guy on the phone said "let me check with someone else" he put the phone on the counter. After 6 minutes of hearing the conversations at their counter, I got in the car and drove to target. (Still on "hold") I get to target. Ask for a manager. The front area manager directed us to the customer service manager. I showed him my phone and you can hear the girl at the counter on my phone. He yells over at her "is someone on that phone". She looked at it. Said yes. THEN HUNG IT UP! His solution? "I'm going to yell at them" wtf? I was on "hold" for 13 minutes!!!! We walked ourselves to their Christmas section. Found it. After paying. The front area manager saw us, and apologized. She offered us apology coupons. Target would have gotten 1 star. But she gets 3 for helping us out and being super polite. I wish I had gotten her name. 5 stars for her for being a great manager, even for a department that isn't hers. read more

This is my default Target since I live around the area, but like what other yelpers mentioned- this Target is ALWAYS packed. There's not a day I don't see cars parked at every parking spot- EVEN ON LIKE A SUPER RAINY DAY. So I had to pick up an online item at Target and that was one thing I will NEVER do again. Usually, you would think that if you do an online pickup, they will have your item ready around the pick-up area- but not Target. I walked up to the Customer Service desk and showed my ID to one of the staff, the staff then did something on the ipad and wrote down the item number. He then just walked away telling me to wait and 10 minutes later he came back with the item. Why don't they just have a pick-up area for Online pickup where the item will be easier access for the staff and make the process quicker for customer? I was surprised that Target don't have a team that manages an online pick-up area. Hope they will start some kind of system soon. I know it's my fault for trying this online pick-up system- I was just afraid that the item don't have it at the Target store itself- therefore I went the online pick-up route, but never again. Despite the online pick-up experience, this Target is quite wonderful. Can never go wrong with those $1.00 - $3.00 section. They always have some fun stuff there. Groceries, Pharmacy, workout clothes/ active clothing section, etc. Love the "clearance" sections, they're everywhere! Starbucks inside the store. Neat! Parking is plentiful but like I mentioned before, it's always PACKED! So you will just have to park further away from the entrance. Not a problem. read more

This has got to be the worst Target I've ever been to. The parking lot has a strange layout, where you can actually find a dead end! So you have to reverse your car just to get back where you started. And the store has very narrow lanes, and is not arranged like the other Target stores. Very difficult to maneuver around. More expensive than other targets, not sure why. For example a compact of face makeup is sold for 15 at this store, while at others its 12. That's a big difference for one product. This store is closest to my house so unfortunately I'm forced to shop here. read more

I'm surprised this target has 2 1/2 stars if I could rate this even lower than a one I would. It's ridiculous how they never have anything literally. When you ask for help they find ways to give you the shortest answer or they just don't know where things are at all. There is never anything in stock and lines are ridiculously long. They're trying to remodel it like all the rest of them but no matter what they do it's still gross. Always dirty & empty. Relatively this is probably the worst target and I hate that it's my local one too. I can't even come here for emergency pick ups. The worst Target I've ever been to. It's always a mess, crowded & just plain horrible.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how relatively calm my visits to this Target have been, considering that: a) It's a Target, and b.) I came on Sunday afternoon, each time I've been here. As others have noted, this Target is next to Costco, and the businesses that capitalize on being near a Costco for spin-off business, so it can, and does, get messy, scary, and heinous in the parking lot. The employees I have had encounters with have been courteous and helpful, and their card section is pretty great, as well. I like their Starbucks, and have had good luck with them, so that's a nice extra, if/when a bit of a treat is needed, or desired. I've had some issues with some of their inventory, which was a bit of a downer. I wanted to get a plastic drawer cart, and when I found what I wanted, I noticed that the item was cracked in the back, which rendered it useless. It was the only model available, and apparently was also a clearance item as well. My dad needed another item, and had a similar experience, which was frustrating for him. I wish this kind of thing was not an issue here, but just be aware that this is not a location where you can have a guarantee that you will come here, and get what you need. i haven't checked out their clothing section here yet, but I'd like to, because if it has good clothing options, I'll be coming here more often, even if it means braving the parking situation more regularly. read more

This Target is always really packed on the weekend but is usually fine mid morning on weekdays. There's also a fairly large parking lot. Customer service is usually pretty bad to nonexistent but I usually manage to find what I need on my own. read more

Beware of thieves at this location and lack of effective security by store. About 2 weeks ago, I was shopping in the women's department to find clothes for an upcoming trip and my small wallet/purse and phone was stolen from my cart. Yes, I should not have been naive to walk away from my belongings but there was barely anyone in my area and I could have only been about 5 feet from my cart with my eyes off it when it happened. I followed a suspect who quickly jetted to the fitting room (she and her toddler were the only people in a 15ft radius of my cart when I noticed my stuff missing). I told personnel and management of my suspicion, and as much as I hated to target anyone innocent, I had a strong belief this person had my phone and tiny purse and was conveniently stashing them into her large purse as the minutes ticked by in the fitting room. The staff did help by allowing me to use their phone to cancel my cards, call police and alert my husband. But unfortunately they said they could do NOTHING in approaching the woman and suggested that I not approach her either. Also, due to their lack of working cameras in the area (which is deceiving because every 10ft there was a camera overhead), they admitted that they did not film anything and those were placed there as more of a deterrent than for recording evidence. Management would not approach the woman because they did not want to offend another customer. I said that I could understand this but wished they were more secure for their customers. I only shopped at this Target because it was the closest to my home. In the future, I may be shopping at the Target in Pasadena if I choose to go to Target ever again. Never again to this location for sure. read more

I have cancer and my chemo side effect is my feet feel like I'm walking on hot coals. I'm here at Target sitting waiting for someone to help me. I asked customer service to help me get an electric cart. The girl said they are out and probably 1 is somewhere in the parking lot. I said I can't walk around the lot to find a cart. She said there is nothing she could do. Went to another associate and asked for help. I've been waiting for a half hour and still no help. I pulled up a chair and I am sitting by the front door waiting. I even had to get my own seat. I brought my uncle. He is shopping but I will wait and go to Walmart. Target lost my business. I love target! I always come in not knowing if i need anything, and leave spending at least $30. They have a large selection of facial care products, hygiene products, things to organize your house with, snacks, etc. I love that they carry a wide range of cheap $1 items. Its only $1, it wouldnt hurt to buy it. Workers here are usually pretty nice, and will help you whenever you need it. Parking is always easy. Their parking lot is very spacious. read more

Went here for Black Friday shopping and it was pretty organized. The doors opened at 9pm, we got there around 9:30pm, it wrapped all the way around the target. But we got in around 10pm, not too bad, the lines moved quick. They had the black Friday deals laid out around the store in certain areas so that people do not just crowd up in one area. It made it easier for people to pick up the stuff then go. The line to pay was long, it wrapped around 8 or more aisles but moved kinda quick. The best Black Friday experience I've had so far. Got deals, didn't have to wait long, no pushing or shoving and no rude people. read more

This target is ok. Location is easy to get to, and the parking lot is big enough so you don't have to fight for parking, but you normally would have to park further back. The front parking area is normally packed, so I don't bother trying to get one up front. They have a good selection. It's good for what you need it for. read more

This place deserves my five stars. I was probably one of Walmart's number one customer for about five years but after moving to Alhambra, I've been nothing but a loyal customer to Target . This is the only Target I go to because the staffs are friendly and the floors are clean. I spent so much money in the last seven months that.I had to get the target debit card. This target is alright. It looks like any other Target that I have stepped into. The only lame thing about this place is the customers at the registers. For some reason, people like to migrate at the registers closest to the aisles and not walk to the front registers. This was my first time in the store and I almost dropped everything I shopped for because of this. I guess it's a good thing for those who pay attention. Ordered something online for in-store pick-up. They gave my stuff to somebody else with the same last name but different first name and sent me a email notice that it was picked up. Went to the store in person and took them awhile to figure out their mistake. This is not the first time this happened. I will NEVER order anything for pick up at this Alhambra store again! I try my best NOT to come to this Target location. Even if its closer to my house then any other target. I love going to 3 target location. The one in Rosemead, Pasadena, and Hacienda Heights. For this one in Alhambra, i dont like the service. Don't get me wrong, they are target friendly, but SLOW and make you wait a long time. I swear today when I went with my boyfriend I was in line for like 30 mins. I also notice that the mangers in this location dont give a crap about the customers waiting. They never have enough checkout lanes open so there is always a long wait. The layout is not well thought out and i find myself having to maneuver around people milling in the aisles. Today is November 27's. Just tried to ask manager of store to price match to target.com. Was told that they do not price match till Dec 2nd. She made me make purchase online for same product to get pricing and wait 2 hours for it to get ready. They make no sence. You want good deal, do not go to this store! Shop online for store pick up and save 15%. Make them pay people to walk around, find my order get it ready and spent time giving it to me. I can not even imagine how much money they would save just doing price match at register. Or make money on upset customers by not matching their own price from internet. read more

I just have to write this review for the front customer service at Alhambra Target right away. Her name was something like Naria? Nuria? I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, but I'm writing this for her great service. I forgot that i had a cartwheel's coupon for items i bought, told her the situation, and she was able to refund me the difference just by using my receipt, without needing the item nor returning the items and start the process of buying all over again. Some of you might think like "OK? Whats so special?" But, To me its so special because never 1 person in my shopping experience at target do this, so often they had to return the item 1st then recharge everything all over. I don't see why so many people are complaining about this Target. It's a Target, not Macy's or Nordstrom's. Who cares if it's crowded or if there were unfolded clothes all over the place. This is a discount store, with a pretty good stable of quality items at a very fair price. Nothing flashy, but not Wal Mart. Their electronics department always has some really good deals. I recently bought a 32 inch LCD flat screen for $299. Not a bad shopping experience if you ask me. read more

Ok, I really want to give this target 3 stars, but I shop here a lot because its the closest one. Not because it is great in any way. It is a lot of 'meh' packed into a newly remodeled store. I've shopped here for years and when I was younger and before this remodel it was ok, middling. Lately it has been kind of ok, hit and miss. Parking lot is usually full up close but not terrible. Expect to park a little farther, but not super awful. When its busy, it can be. They always have what we want, and Ive usually only experienced problems with stuff I impulse buy. Stuff gets opened up and shoplifted frequently, so make sure to check your items before your purchase. It sucks. We get most of our non food groceries here, and sometimes if the sales are good we shop at the grocery, but definitely prefer Fresh N Easy across the street. For both price and quality of freshness. The store doesn't feel awful but it is usually messy. I worked here for one summer when I was 16 and I would never want to again, because the rate it gets messy. Customers here kinda suck, but thats no excuse for the employees to be able to clean it up. It isn't that awful for the amount of people who work here. I always have trouble at the Starbucks, only because they are always understaffed. Not like they can control that there is always 10 people but management could stand to staff better here and through out the store. I really want to give a better review, so we will see soon how it improves. read more

This Target has limited selections compared to the others around the area. I think the best ones would be in Baldwin Park and in Palm Springs. The cashiers aren't happy and they don't restock fast enough so there is missing inventory like soda. No one ever ask if I needed help here compared to the Baldwin park store. I needed to buy a large number of plastic tubs for work, and Target had cheap ones in stock. I called ahead and asked to have 50 of the tubs placed on hold for me. I was promised the tubs would be set aside, and was told that they would be ready upon my arrival 15 minutes later. It actually took an hour and a half to get an employee to bring the tubs to the front after I arrived at the store. At several points, an employee at the Guest Services desk called the stock room, and was told that nobody had started to get the tubs yet, but they were going to get them "sometime soon". These are small tubs, the size of a shoe box, and 50 stack together to fit into one shopping cart with lots of room left over, it's not like I was asking for a huge item that needed a truck to move. The only thing I can think of is that the employees are just lazy and do not realize how valuable time is. read more

This Target is the closest one to my job and I usually walk here during my lunch break whenever I need to buy chocolates for the candy bowl. The parking lot is huge and has many parking spaces. The only time I've seen it full is the day after Thanksgiving. There are many entrances to the lot. The store is not the cleanest Target I've been to, although they have done a better job of getting organized after they remodeled. It seems like there is plenty of clutter up and down the aisles. I noticed the products are higher priced here compared to the Target in Pasadena and West Covina. The staff are friendly and polite. read more
