They don't carry as many organic options as other grocery stores in the neighborhood, which is not a dealbreaker. If you're running low on some kitchen stuff, this is the place to pick it up, or if you need something last-minute to pick up on the way home. I do like the fact that their shopping carts are not all over their parking lot like many other grocery stores, and there is more than enough parking. To the contrary, there's a persistent weird odor inside the store that's been there for years. Small thing, but noticeable (and not a thing with other stores nearby). The building itself is a bit old and could be updated. Overall, it is conveniently located, reasonably priced, and all employees are always friendly. Solid choice for shopping.

And the items are not stacked properly so they all tip over. There is an old fat man who bags who is awful. He doesn't smile or talk. Just throws the food into the bag while seemingly struggling to breathe. I am in Pendleton once a month and I stop here. And every month I am disappointed.

When it comes to the ambiance, the store is always very orderly and clean, and the prepared foods and salad bar come in clutch for a grab and go lunch or quick and easy dinner. I often times grab some of the prepared wraps and appreciate that this location includes packets of mayonnaise and mustard, which are a true game-changer. The one section that seems abundant is the wine and liquor section. I saw some nice bottles of red wine. When I walked by the shelf-stable alternative milk, I was a little shocked to see so many varieties. Walnut milk, cashew milk, pistachio milk, sunflower milk, oat milk and even banana milk! That's not even all of them, either. This is the place to get your milks. It's nice to have a Market District in Westfield so close to Grand Park. This HomeGoods feels small. It feels quite a bit smaller than Castleton, though it's interior design is quite similar. I must admit that I have mixed feeling about HomeGoods. There's no denying the good prices on home decor and necessities, however, the shopping experience is almost universally a mid-range experience for me. I sure don't consider it wheelchair friendly, though it meets ADA (which is a bare minimum standard). There's accessible parking out front. The doors are automatic and easily workable. That's really where accessibility ends. The carts are outside the store, a bit of a hassle. The store has fairly narrow aisles and is incredibly cluttered. While I realize not every store is made for a relaxed shopping experience, I've always felt like I spend more in the places where I feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable here and had at least five aisles I couldn't access in my wheelchair either because of other people, employees, or items blocking the path. I found the selection here paltry at best. Every item I looked at, I ended up finding a handful of options. I found nothing I wanted and was incredibly disappointed with the selection - yes, the prices were good on those items. The service lines are always long here and employees pace themselves as if they're still learning how to do the job. The employees are more functional than friendly. There's literally nothing that makes me want to return. That said, I can't say it was awful. It wasn't. It was just average. The prices are good. The layout is easy to understand. It works. I just think it could be so much better. I left quickly. I left without purchasing. I can't fathom a reason to return.

I was shopping in the Payless on Cross Street yesterday, 03/06/2026, and was shocked to witness a…read moremanager berating an employee near the entrance of the store. Customers and other employees were within hearing distance. The manager (dishwater blonde with a unique hair cut, short with a ponytail/bun on top) was in my opinion unprofessional and should not be in a position of authority. The young man (short hair, beard and mustache) she was scolding was standing there with two bags of trash, one in each hand. He stood there and took it. He was more professional than she was. I have been in management and this is not how you talk to or treat your employees. I am at this store several times a week but if this is their management style, I will drive further and take my business to another store.
