The staff is always helpful and there store was not super crowded so I felt comfortable in there not having someone breathing down my back. Well having the executive membership gives early entrance and even though I don't go to Costco as much anymore, getting in an hour early makes it tolerable. So after breakfast across the way we gout there about 5 minutes prior to opening. Still a crowd at the door, but not the hundreds jostling for a spot like at normal opening (today before the holiday, the ten o'clock crowd waiting reminded me of a picture where people were lining up for free food after an earthquake or something. Everyone wanted to be under the covered portico . So anyway, they opened promptly, scanned our cards and browsed the asiles z. One thing that works well for us is to take two carts in, split up based upon what we need and where it generally is and then meet and transfer from one cart to the other. Seems a more effective way to shop when one person moves quickly through the store and the other just ambles along.. Anyway, got what we needed , keep the tab under four figures, loaded the stuff in the strategically parked car (off to the side by tires) and off we went in about 45 minutes

After trying multiple registers and different solutions, it still couldn't be redeemed. My daughter was heartbroken because she thought she would have to leave without the birthday gifts she had carefully chosen. The manager saw how disappointed she was and, without hesitation, paid for every single item herself out of her own pocket and simply handed them to my daughter. We were completely speechless. I responded by saying hello and thank you. As usual, the store has so much to browse on, I always start from the left to the right working my way around. That's just to see everything they have to offer. The T-shirt wall is a favorite, there's always something funny to make you laugh. I picked up a couple bundle packages of socks, a couple slime lickers (kiddo's favorite) as I made my way towards the register. Once there, I assume the same female person who greeted me, was now telling me " I need you to stand by the batteries honey!" Like I was standing in the wrong place. I was actually looking to see if the self service registers were available. The clerk was the only person assisting and her current customer was having a payment issue I believe. Meanwhile, a few other customers have now added to the line. The clerk didn't ask for anyone else to come help her, though she didn't seem bothered. The 2 young ladies at the register where doing separate transactions and the clerk was asking for her email to receive a discount. Now, I do get it.. companies want to have a way to increase their profits by sending messages or communications to shoppers. But your line is growing. You're asking for emails, then if you want to purchase a 35 cent reusable bag... the process has turned into an interview at this point. Keep your process... get more cashiers to ensure it goes quickly is all I'm saying.
