This Target has very little stock. There isn't much stuff here. I prefer the one in lathrop.

I have been shopping at this store for years. It is going down hill quickly!! The parking lot was disgusting, there was garbage everywhere, the garbage can by the front door was over flowing and homeless people hanging out. The store was messier and dirtier than usual, for a Tuesday evening. I expect messy on a busy weekend. Lines were extremely long and employees were not very friendly. read more

4.5 stars... I won't go into any sort of depth on reviewing this place because it's generally known what the megachain carries and how spacious they are. I will say that parking was plentiful, the store was very clean, organized, and stocked, the prices are great, and the service was good as well. This target never has anything in stock. I come back 2 weeks later and same results. I'm so tire of never finding what I'm looking for. Most targets are about the same as far as look and feel (atleast to me) but what this one lacks is customer service or better yet just some damn employees available to answer some simple questions. I try to go early in the morning while kids are in school so that it's not busy when I go but Monday-Thursday I can't find any red shirts for a little help. Ridiculous! read more

Lack of cashiers, often messy and overpriced. The only nice thing i have to say is the food section is overall nice. Outside of that theft is high here which probably drives up price compared to the Target in Lathrop. Never enough cashiers and most are Red card pushy. It's often messy and low or no stock on many items. Finding help is not easy. When you do they seem like it's not their job to help. For some reason there is always a smell I can't place. It reminds me of walking into Walmart. I shop at Target because it's not Walmart. This one does not live up to the usual Targets. read more

If you need any type of help with phones, go to Antoinette in mobile. She's super nice and really knows a lot about phones and plans and even gives her own opinions on stuff from her personal experiences. Last time I went to try to get a phone, it took forever but Antoinette got everything done with a quickness. And I like how she doesn't try to convince you to buy unnecessary stuff, she'll tell you how it is and what you would really need. She's awesome! read more

One word: DIRTY!!!!!!! When i walk in, nothing but boxes everywhere and team members dont even ask if i need help or move their boxes. Clothing section is so messy and never see anyone trying to fix it. This target changed under new management. Kris is always happy to help but nobody else is. Its depressing to go there. My little sister came here with her friends after having dinner at apple bees for her friends birthday and said she got 1.In trouble because supposedly people were making complaints....... about WHAT?! They are teenagers! Horrible customer customer service. I person by Marc or Marcus J was pretty rude when I wanted to return a game I received for Christmas. The game was not open on the original packaging. He gave me attitude about exchanging it. I told him it don't cost you a thing to give me my money back or exchange for another one. I walk out and went to target in Modesto since I was heading that way. The target in Modesto didn't even question it exchange it gave me back my money with no issues. Which should of happen on Manteca. I had the receipt and the product was in original packaging. If I could give negative stars to Manteca target I would but I'll give 10 stars to Modesto target they were excellent read more

It's a regular Target. You come in wanting to get one thing and walk out with 15 items. All that still stands, but if I have the choice I go to the Lathrop location. It's newer and cleaner and that's the only reason. Employees are fine and the store is decently clean. Just your run of the mill Target! read more

Came last week and bought some animal cookies for my kids and a meat and cheese platter for my husband. When I removed the lid of the cookies yesterday...someone had already tampered with the aluminum lining of the cookies and the meat and cheese tray had been expired since the 12th of this month! "Best used by 3/12/19" and it was still on the shelf on the 21st! I'll be taking both items back today and thinking twice about coming to this specific store. read more

The reason I felt that target deserved this one star rating is due to the fact they had ONE register open at 5:30 in the afternoon during this whole corona virus pandemic. The line was all the way towards the back of the groceries area, and the self check out lanes were past the clothing areas. Horrible management, horrible scheduling. Horrible timing. Surprised they didn't have the common sense to schedule more people during the time of day and with everything going on. read more

Bought an air mattress in San Francisco Target..started to blow it up no it's got s problem.. Too late to return heading out the next day..thought we'd return to target in Manteca but NO can't return..they don't do air mattress returns..no one told us that at checkout, no where on the box is it stated, BUT THEY Dont TAKE THEM BACK.... Cause some idiots use them & returns it..so we who are upstanding customers get the shaft..they should train employee to state it when air mattresses is purchased or a sticker on the box..not hard to do & not leave us with an air bed that can't be used..totally disagree with this policy read more

I have been hoping that Starbucks in target would finally eventually get it together, dirty and so much drama going on at one time, definitely poorly managed, speaking from a business woman I definitely hope that maybe a district manager should probably step in and actually train the staff, employees talking about how bad management is instead of focusing on the costomeers in line.. read more

There's some staff that are some real jerks and completely rude to folks who use coupons. I use them occasionally, but the way these cashiers behave when you show a coupon, you would think you had threatened to harm/kill them. There's a certain Philipina supervisor who is beyond rude to people with coupons. But there are plenty of workers that are friendly to shoppers. The store is clean for the most part and stocked okay. Couponers do a bang up job of depleting inventory at this location though. So you may end up leaving empty handed. read more

My favorite store in Manteca...this store was the best birthday present I ever got...It opened back in 2005 on my bday...awesome!! This store is always clean...you can always find help...you will find at least one team member along your journey through the store who will ask you if they can help you find something...the prices are competitive...nice food section...good sized Electronics section...you can't beat the clearance items...I'm always finding good buys at Target...and lastly the Pharmacy staff is hands-down the best!! I like this Target a lot more than the one in Tracy. I rather drive here 20 min out to shop here. Less packed and seems to have up to date on beauty products(Essie). 4 star because of the remodel and I didn't find what I was looking for, but once the remodel is done I will be back to update my review. read more

I always come in here to look for new movies and CDs. I usually find something. I also browse the Hot Wheels to find what I might like. They need to get on top of that though. The pegs most of the time are sparce. Keep 'em filled and get money from parents buying them for their kids, and for the collectors so they can find new stuff they want. read more

My wife and I started shopping at Target for everything from clothes to groceries. It's convenient for us as we live right around the corner and the prices are actually very competitive with where we used to shop (Walmart). The only reason they're getting 4 and not 5 stars is because they're not 24hrs or at least open late. It's really appreciated when business are open late or 24hrs because when its 100 degrees outside, I like to shop after the sun goes down and it cools off a little. read more

So beyond disappointed with my experience today trying to do a simple return. I've been shopping at target for as long as I can remember. I know the return policy like the back of my hand. Edgar ( Who is apparently the store supervisor) turned me down and wouldn't allow me to do return because my license was expired. I totally understand so I pulled out my passport which is more VALID! He wouldn't do my return with that either. All I wanted was store credit! He didn't even try to see if it would work he just said no. Being nine months pregnant I was extremely frustrated and went back to the car and told my husband what went on and to take me home. He was upset with the way I was treated so he called right after to see what was the problem. Edgar told my husband that they do take passports which SHOCKED me. Why did he tell my husband yes and me no?! That made me even more LIVID. EDGAR should learn simple facts about people using Identification in the state of California especially if he is a so called SUPERVISOR!!!!!! read more

Absolutely love this store. It's always clean, it never feels crowded. They keep things well stocked, even things that are in the weekly ad. Employees at the check outs are almost always friendly and talkative, which is nice. I hate Walmart because the checkers can be so rude, like you are bothering them. The one negative about this store is that they usually have very few lanes open. It would be nice to not have to wait in line so long sometimes, but worth it for the less stress of crowds like other stores. read more

My wife and I are always here and this is our go to store for literally everything. I have to say that this is a very well kept Target store and possibly the best one in the 209 and possibly the whole Central Valley. Hate this location. It's always disheveled and a total mess. I don't even know what else to say. When I'm at this target I feel like I'm back at the Wal-Mart in the ghetto in San Jose. This is not the feel I want from a target. I want it to be clean, spacious, friendly, and we'll stocked... This location is never any of those things. I've been having trouble on and off with this target yet I still decide to come back to this because it is the closest to me. I've used SHIPT through target and every single time I used it they literally would mess it up almost every single time. On top of that I started using drive up and it's been a couple times every single time I used it the person picking my items decides to pick what they want to pick. Meaning they decided just to get something else not the same brand not the same price, but on the order itself it never shows that they picked something else. Also I had missing things and yet again it shows everything's there but it's not. I know for a fact it's the target employees who's picking them out that they seem to not give a s*** and pick whatever basically. Thats the vibe I get with the experiences I've had. When I shop online and pay for things it's the things I chose that I want not the things the target employee decides for me. This is drive up not shipt don't get me wrong shipt is all wrong as well. It asks you on the app if you want a substitution or if you want the shipt person to contact and ask you and they never would text or call me to let me know anything. I know everyone is going through things right now and don't want to work but have to for income. Everyone is stressed out I get it. BUT that doesn't mean I'm going to accept bad service because those employees don't seem to care. I'm spending my time and money that I feel I deserve to get what I asked for. It's simple. read more
