Standard Target. It hits all the wickets and had a large grocery section, electronics, dry foods, and ladies clothing. All the usuals for me. I'm staying nearby for a wedding and we snuck inside last night right before close for some essentials. I was impressed with the stock of their exercise/weights area and went ahead and purchased some because they had small dumbbell weights for ladies in all kinds of weights: 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 pound as well as several sizes of kettlebells and non-rubber grip dumbbells. BIG win. These are super hard to find right now so if you're on the hunt, this place had them all. read more

It's a Target. What can you really say? It's pretty much the same as all the other Targets. The store can get messy at times, especially during high traffic hours or around holidays like Christmas. For the most part, it's well stocked and has what you need. Pickup orders were relatively quick, but honestly, it's just easier to go inside and grab what you're looking for. Everything is laid out like most other locations, so it's easy to navigate once you're in. One thing though, what is with that Target smell? Every store has it. It's kind of a weird plasticky scent that hits you as soon as you walk in. A little concerning, but I guess that's just part of the Target experience now. Overall, a solid spot for a quick run or pickup, just don't expect it to be spotless during busy times. read more

Unbelievable ,,,, StarBucks ,,,,, It was unbelievable to watch a Starbuck employee verbally assault her staff member who clearly was trying to do her job. I had to inquire in order to report her name and behavior, " Kirsten" . You do not scream and degrade your coworker. I am not sure if she apologized to her staff member but I am not sure if an apology overrides the embarrassment that was directed towards her co-worker. I will never visit that store if I see " Kirsten" attempting to provide services. In addition I will be contacting HR and calling corporate. Yes it was that bad !!!!!!!!! I love this target location, it's the only one I know of that have fresh produce and meat. It's convenient and always well stocked. My only issue is that sometimes they only have self checkout opened. I hate self checkout, especially during the holidays. The lines can be so long. I came In here to buy Christmas decorations for next year because they were 50% off. They still had a decent amount left and I was able to stock up. read more

This is an amazing target. There's a huge selection of items. A whole candy isle (which is always somewhat full), Spectacular food and drink options (frozen and room-temperature), Good music selection (Mainly vinyls, but CD's and K-pop boxes too), etc. Shoutout to the random worker who scored me a cowboy carter box set from the back on July 4th. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the target drive up option at this location. Without a doubt it is always super quick and allows me to maximize my day by having this option. How did we were survive before there was the drive up option at stores. I think about all the hours that I've saved and all the hours that I now have with my family by not wasting time going into the store to shop. I also appreciate that this target has a limited grocery store as well to decrease the number of trips that I have to make. I'm a total Target aficionado but the layout for this location is terrible. I came in looking to use an ATM and pick up a few quick things. The entrance was so chaotic. They have the Starbucks tucked into a tight corner. The ATM is currently inoperable and nestled in a sketchy corner. Perhaps they are doing renovations? Not sure. read more

I just want to give a shout out to an employee named Portia. I was in the store looking for clothes for my Mom who is homebound. Portia took the time to advise me of what was available and gave me advice on sizing. She was very personable while still doing her job. She showed a genuine interest in my mother's situation and went above and beyond to help me. This world would be a better place with more people like Portia. Compared to other Target locations in the Richmond area, this is a much smaller location. They recently added a grocery section and a Starbucks that is near the entrance of the store. This renovation is long overdue for this location. I remember when other Targets had their stores renovated and this store would be the only Target in the area that still had the 90's style decor and all. I really like that this location is really clean and tidy. Its easy to find anything that you're looking for. Staff is really nice and willing to help when needed. The grocery section is not as big as the ones in other Targets. I only go here since it is the closest Target to my place. If I had to pick another one to go to, I would definitely go to the one at Westchester Commons. read more

I LOVE the pharmacy at Brandermill Target. Paul and Candy look out for me, check my prescriptions for interactions with other prescriptions, and remind me to get my flu, shingles, and pneumonia vaccines. They are always friendly and chat with me when I go for a pick up. Paul even suggested mailing prescriptions during the pandemic to keep me from coming into the store. I can't say enough nice things about this pharmacy. read more

I like my neighborhood Target. It's clean and spacious and all of the employees have been super nice. The Starbucks in the lobby is always stocked and there's never too much of a wait. The store is always well stocked and clean and easy to get around. read more

Great experience today while trying to return an item from my registry. I came about 2 weeks ago and the girl working didn't know how to do it I stood there for 20 minutes trying to give her the information she needed and she still couldn't return my items. This is a smaller Target, with a grocery section that's rather diminutive compared to other locations. If you have a long grocery list that you want to check off all at once, then skip this Target and head to the one off of 288 at Westchester Commons. This location is clean, organized, and still meets the needs of the average shopper. I waited too long to buy a bathing suit this season, and after hitting up 4 other stores with no results, I headed to Target and was so grateful to see that they still had a great selection. Be warned: this location does not have a Starbucks inside, so don't get your hopes up. If you can't walk a Target's aisles without your trusty latte, then grab one from Barnes & Noble across the street before heading in. read more

I will say that it is a little smaller than most Targets but when you are in the neighborhood it serves you well. Also there are a few other great stores right next door to this location. read more

The target is in a very nice location that is surrounded by other nice stores. The employees are very nice. The shelves for clearance need to be tidied up a bit. Love the Starbucks it's what I love getting while I start my shopping experience. The dollar section need to be cleaned up as well. I love the children's clothing section there is a lot of clearance for cheap prices almost like Wal-Mart clearance but with better quality garments. I really appreciate the parking for women with children really much needed. read more

I went in to pickup a photo and there was no one manning the photo center. I had one employee walk by me and I thought he was going to help but he went back to doing whatever he was doing, collecting hangars or something. I finally asked a cashier and he went over and asked customer service. They said they'd be right over as I watched them continue their non-customer related tasks. I finally walked out of the store, since they were too busy to help out. I'll send my photos elsewhere from now on. read more

Target is pretty good and you can't beat the 5% discount and price match which I found is better than Amazon. Add their longer return policy and you have a place that is un-matched with likes of Bestbuy (Everytime I hear BB I throw up). However, at Commonwealth 20 location, I truly hate their customer service center which is exactly like you are going thru checkout but they also provide customer service with an annoying person who starts asking you question as you are waiting with others that maybe embarrassing to some. With as many grocery stores in the greater Richmond area, not to mention Walmart, the grocery section in a Target store is merely a waste of space. I feel this way because I bought a box of Cheerios yesterday (5/23/17) and later found the "Better if used by" space read "26Mar2017." The cereal tasted like it, too. read more

As the closest Target to my home, I tend to visit this one the most. However, since renovations, I find myself coming even less. The layout does not boast easy shopping and the new grocery section - all though has a lot more to offer than before, is very minimal compared to the Kroger down the road or the Westchester Commons location. Improvements have been made - and the store is a bit cleaner than before. However, with the addition to the grocery section and Starbucks, I feel they are getting a bit cramped. read more

This target is always really neat, clean and organized. If you're preggo they have a great maternity line that's cute and really comfortable. They also strategically place Starbucks & the Cafe at the entrance so it always smells like delicious coffee treats and popcorn. read more

This Target is awful. The employees are rude, they never know where anything in the store is. If I wanted to wander around the entire store looking for items I wouldn't have asked for help. Somehow my Target coupons are never usable at this location. The Starbucks inside this location is also crap. The rotating cast of employees can rarely get a drink order right, one even complained to me about all the work she's expected to do there. I would also like to mention that I work in the same shopping center as this Target store, and myself and my coworkers frequently come in to buy things for lunch or for the salon. I've never been rude to the employees, even when I'm in a hurry to get in and out. I also work in customer service and I believe the way I'm being treated in this location is ridiculous. Tighten up Target, you're turning into Walmart. read more

I enjoy going to the Commonwealth Center Target. The place is clean and very well organized. I'm never lost and wondering where to find an item. The only bad I would say is the grocery section. I would love for this store to be my one stop shop but they never have all of the grocery items on my list. read more

Management definitely needs to do something about their employees. Lisa was apparently there to socialize not to be at the m cash register even though her light was on. Had to wait for her to come back to her lane to check me out upon doing so it was clearly obvious she was unhappy I chose to go to her lane.
