Every time I use the drive up at this location, there always seems to be a problem. If you do have a drive up order, DON'T GIVE THE PICKUP NUMBER UNTIL YOU GET YOUR ITEM(S). I pulled up today and there was no one there. An associate came out and asked for my pickup # and that he will be right back. In my app, it showed I picked up my item. 15 min later with a screaming toddler in my car, I marched into the store and found the guy that was supposed to help me.. loading shelves. I told him he marked it as pickup (they are timed with their orders) but yet never gave it to me. Management needs to correct this issue and not have the associates ask for the pickup number until they give the items to the customer. I know they can see it on their end with what we purchased, so there's no need to ask for the number. I told my wife that any expression of love would have to wait 45 days until I could properly express my undying devotion via bad chocolate and an inflated, prix fixe dinner complete with a complimentary glass of Cold Duck. I genuinely try to avoid this Target because every visit turns into the same frustrating experience. If you have a larger order, be prepared to bag everything yourself while employees stand around or ignore you entirely. I've spent well over $100 on multiple occasions and have been met with rude attitudes when asking for help. Customer service should include basic courtesy and assistance, especially when someone is spending their money at your store. If you're only grabbing one or two items, you might be fine. But if you're doing a full shopping trip, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. This location has completely ruined the Target experience for me. read more

I have frequented many Target stores throughout New Jersey. What I appreciate is they keep their layout consistent. I wish it could be the same for the products. I use their app prior to going if I need something specific. Shockingly, when I get there, the products may or may not be in stock. When I ask the salespeople, not everyone is helpful. Some waive their hands to indicate, "it's over there, somewhere." This location, however, had all the products I was looking for, and when I could not find something, a sales associate actually walked me to the location. A Target store that can remind you of a school classroom. A school classroom that will have 25 benches and 75 students but for all that one teacher in the center. A store that has a humongous parking and store space, large variety of items that are stocked, other amenities that include CVS, Starbucks and a Pizza Hut but only two cashiers at the checkout registers??? There's not even a single self checkout lane. That's some serious disproportionate ratio in a scale. We have never had issues getting the items we've come looking for and even getting things that were unplanned. They have a lovely collection of everything and the returns process also happens seamless. The only sour point as I mentioned already is the scant number of cashiers staffed as there's always a waiting line anytime you shop and that sucks! read more

I went out of my way to come to this Target because they had an item available for pick up that I wanted. The store is big, the set up reminds me of the Target in Watchung. There are no self-checkout registers which I didn't like. There were barely any cashiers but it wasn't too busy when I went so the wait was not too long. They had a decent amount of cleaning products that are hard to find like Lysol all purpose spray and Clorox bleach spray. There was a good amount of Lysol disinfectant spray which I have not been able to find at all. The limit was one per person. In the future if I need a specific item for pick up I would return otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I was at the hotel just across the parking lot from this Target store, so at least for this trip, it was the most convenient Target store. Can't comment much on the availability of goods at this store because I went directly to what I needed and everything I wanted was where I expected to find it. (I guess that was one for the plus column.) The Target phone app makes the process of checking for prices and discounts consistent across all Target stores so I don't bother to rate Target stores by the availability of shelf tags and price checkers any more. Service was good and the employees actually offered help without my having to ask. The only thing that seemed lacking at this Target store was there aren't any self-checkout stations. Come on, man! This North Brunswick store has employees all over the store to help you, but the store is very outdated, and is in desperate need of a renovation. There's no self checkouts, so I have to wait in a ten minute line just to check out, and there's only one checkout line open. Half of the scanners don't work, and the scanners that do work are all old and outdated. Drive the extra 5 minutes the the South Brunswick, or Milltown locations! read more

Walked in to tech department while sales associate was finishing helping a customer. Walked be the Employee who was now on his phone did not even acknowledge me. He then proceeded to despair from department. I waited 10 to 15 minutes as I need something behind the glass. Had to flag another employee to page him. When I ask for help after walking around the department for 15 minutes looking for any sighting he replied he will help me after he is finished with the other customer. He asked me what I needed help with I told him . He then repeated my request 3 to 4 times as if he was trying to confirm my request. Why do I have to confirm my request 4 times . They were out of the item I wanted and there was a recourse in which he never offered he was to busy on his phone on a break helping other customers that were not in the department for 15 min like I was . I will never buy merchandise from that department ever again. He also explained he already helped 7 employees in the last 30 minutes. Target ahhhhhhh. I much prefer this Target to the one in South Brunswick down route one. Staff is much friendlier and less pushy about the Red Card. Starbucks is well done and every once in a while you get a coupon at the register for a discounted drink. This location is pretty well organized and usually tidy. I like this Target. Despite, its not the closest one from my house. I live closer to the one in Milltown. However, I had to go out of my way, since the Milltown store did not have what I needed. This location is larger than the one by me, but it's still pretty easy to navigate, and they have pretty much everything you need, The store is very clean, and while it is short-staffed, I could find pretty much everything I needed on my own. Everything, like all Targets were fairly priced, and its affordable. Overall, great Target! read more

This store is always a mess anymore. Today - a Saturday afternoon - there were only 2 registers open. Shelves were half empty. Aisles were a mess. The people working the floor were mainly on the cell phones. The carts were all over the parking lot blocking cars from passing. It has definitely gone down hill. read more

This place is terribly understaffed. There is no self checkout, so you end up waiting in a line at least 8 people deep every single time you come. They also don't bring back the shopping carts. There are routinely over 100 carts littering the lot. It ends up blocking the handicap parking. I never thought I would be a WalMart shopper, but Target has forced my hand. read more

I had expected this Target, being brand spanking new, to be a dream of Targets. It was not, but it was OK. They were well stocked, and had quick cashier lines. Also everything was very clean. I was not impressed by the in-house Starbucks. Their baristas need more training in their making of drinks as well as with their customer service. I was surprised that when a huge spill occurred at the Starbucks, more Target staff didn't show up with mops, and signs and cleaning materials. It's a nice Target. It's never overly crowded and the lines move pretty quickly. Most of the cashiers are friendly and courteous. The Starbuck's is pretty decent most times although I think they need to schedule better from time to time. There is usually only one person working there and I recall once or twice that they had an inexperienced employee working by themselves. It could have been a scheduling issue with someone calling out stick. I don't know the dealio. That said, management should probably make sure the staff is fully trained and put in better situations. That's not on the employees. I have noticed that some of the employees on the floor work hard while others just talk and mess around. Two times within a week, I noticed the same employee talking on her phone while on the floor. To me, that's not really cool. I get that they have young people working there and the millennials are all self-entitled, but still. Go in the break room or go to the bathroom if you want to talk on your phone. read more
