Apple pastry. No apples, contents a smear of apple flavored gook. Very disappointed

Meat prices are too high. I purchased a twelve pack of apple pastries and the filling was scant. A smear of apple flavored gook.

    The return lady

I tried to return some spoiled naan that I had purchased yesterday and the lady at the return place is very rude. She wouldn't acknowledge the fact that the naan that we had just purchased yesterday was moldy (naan doesn't mold that fast). She was able to process the returns of a man behind me without checking his membership. Very rude and mean

So this is what mid-30's life is all about huh? Spending Sunday afternoon at Costco? Getting excited about being the first to review one!???! Well, there are definitely worse places! Where else can one buy travel packages, tires for the car, expensive jewelry, giants vats of condiments, and then grab a $1.50 hot dog and drink (price unchanged since 1985) on the way out? Oh yeah they sell gas at decent prices too and the attendant didn't even ask for our membership card. What brings this review down is the sign up experience. Donna was EXTREMELY high pressure about "upgrading" to their "executive" level membership. I understand that this has some sort of cash back system, it also costs twice as much as the regular "gold star" membership: $120 is a lot more than $60. On top of that, she then proceeded to try and browbeat me into signing up for some sort of Costco Visa card where there is also cash back for various purchases (I recall 3% for dining and I believe 5% on fuel, 1% across the board). Sorry Donna, I respect that you have a job to do and have many years of sales experience myself. As they say: "it's a tough racket." But how many times and in how many ways do I have to say no? I'm already coming in here giving you my hard earned money. I don't want to rack up credit card debt on 36 packs of toilet paper and 5 gallon jars of mayonnaise. You wasted a half hour of our Sunday afternoon and really created a terrible first impression of this store. Enough to where it makes me reconsider my membership. Fortunately one can cancel it anytime for a full refund (great policy). Her colleague also got involved in the sales games and I feel like they stalled processing the membership for whatever reason. Why did they care that I was a member in 2011? Why did the talk in secret between each other. It was a true car dealership experience. Also misleading as they downplay the fact that ANY debit card is accepted at Costco, it's just that Visa is the only CREDIT card they accept (and in the past they only took Discover and later, only Amex). We'll see how the experience goes now that we are members. The store is a nice step up from Sam's club in nearly every aspect: cleaner restrooms, MUCH better selection of products, employees are treated & compensated much more equitably, higher quality meats, and the food court is awesome: $9.95 for an 18 inch pizza plain or with toppings, $1.35 soft serve; $3 "chicken bakes" (like a chicken bacon Caesar hot pocket), açaí bowls; 25¢ water bottles, and more. I'll update the review in a less verbose fashion depending how this plays out. Unlike other Costco's, no liquor store is here. Just remember to bring cash, a debit card, or visa credit card for payment. "Pro tip:" you do not need a membership for the food court or the pharmacy. Parking was also surprisingly decent.

This location is very conveniently located off business route 1. All stock is up to date and the store is very well kept. The down side of the location is traffic, especially on the weekends! Ever since local Sams club closed, Costco became over crowded. The parking lot is usually packed and registers are crammed. I believe staff can do a better job hiring more people and opening up more registers to have less of the wait. Thank you for reading this and I hope you find this helpful.

This Costco actually benefitted my family and I best as before we used to go the Sam's Club that used to be located at Nassau Park.

All this would have been nice to know up front, before I went shopping. So. The store is HUGE but unlike other wholesale stores, it looks clean, brite, easy to navigate, signs clear and the aisles really flowed well and were organized, very little navigation issues. Produce selection and freshness blew me away. They had the typical apples, oranges, onions etc, but PLUMS? Watermelon?? A lot of variety. Then I moved to the open seasoning aisle and just wow!! Because behind that was nuts, seeds and sweets. All bins were clean and they have an attendant making sure it all stayed clean and no one was sampling AND once you chose what you wanted and bagged it, the attendant weighed and priced it. I appreciated the attention to keeping this section clean and attractive. Prepackaged fruit was definitely a win! The sliced mango I bought was sweet and at about $5. It was a good price because it was sliced thin, ripe and it was about 2 mangos in this packaged. There are a few freezer sections and the meat and poultry section is incredible. I checked out the yogurt section and there were brands I had never heard of, I just bought yogurt yesterday so I had to pass, but I'll be back, but as with a quick look I gave, I didnt see full day yogurt, which I prefer. All in all, it has good prices on cleaning products, the chocolate section is a chocolate lovers dream, the fresh produce is exceptional, I lost Tammy and Emi in the chips & snacks section, lol, but found them back in the pastry section where the baklava was calling my name. If you are in the area, check it out. I think it was the manager, though I'm not sure, that let us know the front aisles with tbe special chocolates and such would be moved soon to another section of the store, due to the Purim Holiday. Super friendly staff all around, I plan to return soon.

There's really not one close by, but I end up driving 40 miles each way, usually weekly, to shop there. Check out is my only issue. They have a few self check outs, but no hand scanners, so you have to actually pull everything out and place it on their scale. The location in Gaithersburg Md. has lines, but when it's bad, the employees actually come to you in line, scan your card and everything in your cart and all you have to do is pay when you get to the register. Wish they would implement that process. But I still prefer Costco over Sam's and BJs, and I'm less than one mile from a BJs.

When I entered the parking lot I was going to get gas because I was semi near the area. I became immediately deflated. I figured I would skip it- gas was 3.49 today there I believe. I decided I would go into the store and nearly turned around and left when I saw the ridiculous check out line. Forget about trying to get through the aisles- it's a complete nightmare at this location. I HATE when I need things I can't get online and I need to go here. In my former area I would go to Sanatoga- much better experience there. When you go to checkout you are being yelled at "Go to any line" "Go to any line". Then when you finally get checked out- the staff is yelling at customers to "form two lines". You aren't gonna get out easy- you are going to wait and wait. It's overwhelming. I love Costcos as a company and the quality but the shopping experience is completely miserable in my opinion. On the way out I decided to attempt to get gas. It was a virtual parking lot pretty much. So in a nutshell you have to fight for parking, fight through the aisles, fight to pay for your stuff, fight to get out of the store and fight for gasoline. It's insane. I hope we get a Costcos in my area because driving an hour down and back for this is frustrating, unpleasant, and I dread going there!!!
