My first issue in her office came when they openly said in the office when I was trying to schedule the next session that we needed to make payment first. I could understand if it was a big amount of money, but the copays were going to total around $150, so the plan was to save the FSA paperwork for one shot. Nope, she would not allow it. I told her I thought it was a petty policy, but we stayed and put up with it since my Son already knew her and her skillset fit what we needed. Fast forward to 2024. I call to schedule both of my Sons for an appt. We have only had Dr. Masucci (I had no idea she had partners). My Son with the eye disorder would of course be scheduled with the specialist he has seen since starting right?? Nope. The office scheduled it with one of her partners without asking for permission first (again, I had no idea there even were partners). When I questioned this, Dr. Snyder told me "they put it in the text message to confirm." Okay, yes, I saw they did include it (after the fact), but who reads the confirmation texts if you believe you are set for YOUR provider?? If this is their rationale, it is sneaky and unethical as we NEED awareness of who will be providing the service. We are not just our payments!! So, I said we would wait for Dr. Masucci, but she reportedly refused to see us as her own schedule was booked. I allowed the appointment to move forward as it was in the best interest of my child who was experiencing acute eye symptoms (and got no remedy or suggestions from Dr. Snyder btw). Dr. Snyder said she conferred with Dr. Masucci prior to the appt. I still think this is not good enough. I'll bet that if Dr. Masucci walked into her stylist and was given one she never knew about, would she feel comfortable allowing that person to do her hair, or would she be upset and feel deceived? If we expect the same stylist, we NEED to expect the same doctor. When my mom goes to her oncologist, she sees THE SAME oncologist despite being in remission. Why? Continuity of care is IMPORTANT.. esp for children!! I made a complaint to Highmark and I believe that I am fair to say we feel like this was a "bait and switch." We expected one thing and, due to error or lack or transparency, we got someone different. I well understand that mistakes can happen, so I asked for a remedy. Dr. Masucci never bothered to come out of her office or exam room for the (more than an) hour we were there. We were never given the respect of her trying to develop a resolve. When I make a mistake, I make it right.. sometimes that means having a late appointment past business hours. That's just the way it goes when you own your business.. sometimes we need to extend some decency to the patient, esp of the patient isn't the one responsible for the mistake!! Nope. Nothing. Crickets. I called today (day after appt) to ask for my kiddo's prescription and his medical records, along with all billing records. They did call me back. However, it was not to apologize or to get a resolve and have my kiddo get seen earlier than 22 more days (her earliest appt) by the doctor with whom we scheduled.. oh, no.. they called for PAYMENT! Seems to be a running theme, at least in our experience. I'm also not fond of a few of her staff. I can well understand Chris' comment on this site regarding the treatment by her staff.

I stopped in on a whim and I'm so glad I did! I have a pair of designer sunglasses with seriously…read morescratched lenses. I had ordered replacement lenses online and was planning to pop them out myself...but when they arrived I was really struggling to get the old lenses out. I had asked a store in the mall once, and they would not do it. Knowing I was likely to break them myself if I continued to try, I stopped in to Eyetique to see if they would swap the lenses for me. The woman working in the store (Susan) was super helpful. She had the old lenses out and the new lenses ready to go in seconds. She even provided a replacement case from the brand since mine had long ago fallen apart. Five minutes fixed something I've been avoiding for months!

If I could give them a ZERO I would! Let me start by saying I was late for my appointment. I went to Waze and typed in eyetique the directions that pulled up were for the one off of the Warrendale exit. I didn't think anything of that. I got there early at 8:55 am and was told that I had the wrong location. The lady that greeted me was very nice. She told me where the actual Wexford location was and called to let them know I was on my way. When I got there the gentleman that helped me was very nice. I apologized for being late and making such a stupid mistake by going to the wrong location. He said no worries you're good. He proceeds to get the tablet ready for me when another employee walks in and also another customer. The gentleman helping me told the customer he would be right with them. Then out of NOWHERE comes Heather Snyder and screams SHE WAS 20 MINUTES LATE FOR HER APPOINTMENT WE ARE SEEING THE 9:30 APPOINTMENT FIRST. I said I don't care I would wait then I thought about why she was yelling. I would expect them only to take me after their scheduled appointment because I was late no matter the reason. She is very unprofessional and there is a way to talk to people. At that point, I got up and left my money spends elsewhere. She needs to learn how to talk to people. After her yelling there was no way I would let her check my eyes! Eyetique McKnight Road's location was my favorite. And again the gentleman who helped me was super duper professional.
