Came in this afternoon to pick out glasses for my wife and I. This was our first time at this location and even though it was pretty busy, we were able to get the help we needed pretty quickly once we'd selected frames. What I liked about the experience at Visionworks were that the product labels were very clear as to gender, frame style, and price. The staff at the 228 branch of Visionworks are the most awful people. Rude, belittling, and the customer service is non-existent. I was there on 7/6/2026, I was 4 minutes late due to heavy construction on 79. Immediately the little bald man with a nose ring told me they would not see me. I'm a repeating customer. I had a bought a pair of eye glasses, last week and had to pick up the new ones. A HUGE SHOUTOUT to Ruth she is a great customer service rep. (Keep this one , vision works). I had visual disturbance heading to guest teach in a nearby school so I was super glad to get an appointment that day. All the staff was knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Currie was super thorough and eventually found a tiny retinal hole. The GM then called and got me into a retinal specialist who lasered me first thing next day. This all saved likely me from a detachment and much more complicated treatment and recovery. I can't thank or recommend them highly enough! read more

Although my appointment was confirmed both via text and phone, the appointment was not in their system. Doctor and check-in clerk were both super nice and were still able to complete the appointment. Issue is when it comes time to purchase glasses. There is no organization. Clerks wait for people to spend 1/2 hour or more to pick out frames, making people ready to purchase have to wait. Walk-ins for pick up take precedence to everyone. This used to be a great location. Will not be back based on tonight's experience. read more

I had a really great experience here! The staff is very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The staff always made sure that everybody was taken care of which is nice to see. The eye doctor was amazing - friendly and thorough, and answered all my questions. THEN, I went to the front of the store to look for glasses. Different experience altogether. The young woman who would wait on me sat at her desk for ten minutes, while I looked - walking right behind her - without any greeting or offer to help. I finally say, "can you help me?" She acted as though I was bothering her. I got through the experience, but can't really recommend buying glasses here. Website says BOGO but I was never told of this. I asked, "what if I buy a second pair?" And was told second pair is half off. Woman didn't smile once, kept her interactions to a minimum, and I don't feel I got all the options that might have been available to me. Was hoping for a better experience. Will pick up glasses in a week; then we'll see. read more

I went in to get a new pair of glasses recently and I was unimpressed by the help of the staff at first. The woman who helped me was ignorant but once the general manager stepped up to help my experience was way better then expected. He was very knowledgeable and could answer all of my questions. I usually dread having to get new glasses but this time was a great experience. I will definitely be going back to this store in the future. Do yourself a favor. Ask for Tim! read more

I wish I could give no stars. My husband and I were yelled at by a nasty staff member as we walked into the waiting room and proceeded to the front desk. Not one staff member present in the waiting room bothered to inform us that we had to be medically examined before we were allowed to walk into the waiting room. The nasty staff member came out of a back room, ran at us and yelled at us that we had to have our health checked and then informed me that I had to pull my mask up over my nose. My mask WAS covering my nose, but THAT was not good enough. I felt VERY threatened by this staff member. She was very aggressive. We will never go to VisionWorks again and the company just lost A LOT of money for this incident. I will ensure everyone I speak to will know of our treatment. read more

Everyone that works there is incompetent. When I called to make the appt I asked to make sure it was time for an exam so that I could use my insurance. When I arrive at the appt they tell me I can't use it! Everyone there is terrible at their job and are a total waste of time. I would not use this location if you want good service. read more

I went to Visionworks to take advantage of the 2 for $59/99 pair of glasses. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the manager who was helping someone else. She repeatedly welcomed all who came in the door or thanked them for the visit. I already had a prescription so I just needed to pick out some frames. I was very happy with the selection of frames, usually they're just so so when there's a sale. A short time later I was waited on with no pressure to buy anything I didn't want, just a very pleasant experience. The 30 day happiness guarantee tells me I won't have any problems. I'm anxious to see how the glasses turn out. This is definitely the place to go when you need glasses, no question. read more

Went for my first eye exam of the year, the doctor was great and explained everything perfectly. When it came to picking a pair of lenses, the salesperson was awesome. I'm very picky so I had about 5-6 pair that I liked. He helped me get down to one pair that were cheap and afffordable. Perfect service all around read more

Completely understaffed!!! This is absolutely ridiculous! Why on earth would you only have one person working on a busy weekend! I waited 47 minutes for a guy to help me get a new prescription in my glasses. While he was very nice - he was also extremely apologetic and flustered with the number of customers walking in while he drown with no help. Another woman whom apparently wasn't qualified to help him ( I only know this because she kept telling people this) anyways, she kept telling people to go out shopping or go eat and come back another time. Do they realize what an inconvenience this is? Those of us who work weekends and have a 2 hour time frame to get errands done is all some might have. Moving on.... this particular center is located in cranberry on 228. They have a wide variety of glasses to choose from but are always behind so if you need to fill a new script - pick another location! I'll be going to the one in the Wexford medical pavilion from now on! read more

I have used a family practice for my eye exams and glasses for several years as I was skeptical about going to a chain store. I had several questions about the available eye-wear as well as the contact lenses available and everyone of them was answered. Tim, who I believe is the general manager stepped up and was super helpful in making my appointment successful. I purchased prescription glasses there last year. Unfortunately, the lens started popping out and required repair. I phoned the store and made my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, I was screamed at from a gentleman sitting at a desk that I had to wear a mask. I told him that I have a medical exemption for wearing the mask. He continued to scream at me and told me to go outside. I handed him my glasses and said, "just fix them." I then went outside. When he brought my glasses out to me he started yelling at me again that this is now store policy. To which I replied, "this is not a law nor does it trump the Americans for Disabilities act (which is a law)! Because they provide medical supplies, they can not deny me service in their establishment. I don't really care if I have to stand outside but to embarrass me? There were other people in the store and then also to continue to embarrass me on the sidewalk outside in front of numerous others??? Poor customer service and extremely poor attitude! I can spend my money elsewhere and please let the employee of the month know that he made it perfectly clear that people with disabilities are not permitted in your store. Perhaps you should let him have a conversation with your corporate lawyers on civil rights! read more
