The office said I could come by and they can try to find frames to match his lenses. They did not give up until they found frames for him! My son can't really see well without his glasses and he would have had to miss school if he couldn't get new glasses right away. They made sure that he could get new frames and went above and beyond for us. Their kindness and care for patients goes a long way.

Every person I encountered at Valley Vision Center was warm and welcoming. I went there with all my vision records from my amazing Dr. John C Lawyer, O.D (Nevada) to make the transition go smoothly. The staff at Valley Vision Center in Geneva, IL was very appreciative of my efforts. Each phase of my visit at Valley Vision Center was professionally conducted, and well orchestrated. The staff was knowledgeable, and did I mention very warm/friendly. I felt as if I had been seen at Valley Vision Center for years. Dr. Michele Montalbano was extremely personable, inviting, approachable, intelligent, and THOROUGH. I could instantly discern that Dr. Michele Montalbano respects her staff and lead by example. She takes her time with her patients and finds time to have a teachable moment with her team in a non-judgmental manner. Dr. Michele Montalbano answered all my questions and I didn't feel rushed, I actually felt like she was a longtime friend while doing her job. The young lady who helped me with my glasses purchase was very very patient in helping me get the best out of my insurance plan, she ran the numbers and checked them as many times as I needed her to. I felt great about the decision we made together. I could go on and on about the Valley Vision Center and how wonderful my experience was, but I will let those who read this decide for themselves. Call Valley Vision Center and schedule an appointment and see for yourself, you will not regret it. Thank you Dr. Michele Montalbano and Staff, I look forward to my next appointment.

Mike and Ethan in the office were wonderful and conducted an easy check-in and the first part of my eye exam they were so nice and explained everything in great detail. The doctor herself is such a wonderful human. She literally explained everything step-by-step. She was so very patient with me and had me laughing just to relieve my stress. Mary & Arlinda are seriously the perfect team. Mary walked up and down the aisles, looking at almost every pair of glasses watching me try them on and really helping me pick the perfect pair. I love every time she picks something out for me. Her taste is impeccable! Arlinda is so sweet. She fits me for the glasses and double check triple check to make sure everything is perfect. She knew that it was my birthday and is going to try to get them to me as fast as possible. How very nice I know it's not a guarantee but just the fact that she said she was going to try means so much to me. I've worn glasses for 55 years and this is my second year getting glasses at Costco optical in Saint Charles and let me tell you they are my favorite in every way shape and form.

Mike took care of the insurance right away - he just took our insurance card and handled everything. That was nice. I was really shocked about how much my eldest son's degree went up. Then Ethan came over to comfort my son. He shared that he was basically legally blind without his glasses, letting him know that everything will be OK. They had a conversation about eye care. I liked how professional and empathetic they were. Dr. Babar was super nice. He asked if I had any concerns and really took the time to hear me out about my sons' eye issues. He really listened and reassured me and told me how the glasses would help. I really liked the overall friendliness and the caring conversations of everyone I interacted with. I'll be back for sure!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Do not visit Walmart Vision Center, and especially Dr…read more Sam Baker! I called around to a few places to find out how much it would cost for an eye exam for contact lenses, and if that included regular contacts and color contacts or if colored would be extra. I was told that it would be one cost for both, and it would b $75. Great, the cheapest I could find by at least $10, and they could get me in sooner. I booked an appointment. Once I got through my appointment, I asked for a copy of my contact prescription; I purchase them online. I was told that the dotor would not give me a copy of my prescription until I returned a week later; I had to wear the contact lenses for a week, then come back so he could make sure they fit right or something. To get a prescription for the colored contact lenses, I had to do the same thing - wear the contacts for a week, then come back so he could check them. The fitting for the colored lenses wouldn't include actual colored lenses, but clear lenses of that brand. I think I've been a bit confusing, so let me be clear: I would have to wait 2 weeks to get my prescription, because I had to wear each pair for a week. My problem lies with the fact that I'm not new to contact lenses. I've worn them since I was about 13 years old... so about 14 years. In fact, I've worn the EXACT BRAND of clear contact lenses that he re-prescribed for over a year with no problems whatsoever. If I had never worn contacts before, and *possibly* even if I was switching brands, then I could see him wanting me to come back. However, every time I've ever had my eyes checked, the doctor tells me to come back if there's a problem with them. I think I even would have understood if he wanted to check the colored contact lenses, because it's been several years since I've worn them. When I returned for my final visit, for the check and to get my prescription, I was told he couldn't give me a prescription unless I tried on colors. What does the color of your contacts have to do with the power of the prescription? Nothing. But he said, "What if you don't like them?" I explained that I'd looked online and found what colors I wanted, and if I didn't like them it was not going to be HIS fault; additionally, there was more than one color I wanted to purchase. Unfortunately, he refused to give me the prescription until I tried on colors. I gave in. I tried on the colored contacts, and they slipped a bit in my eyes. I told them that I had called earlier that week with this concern - the base curve of my eye didn't match that of these lenses, and I didn't want to have to go through the entire process another time if I couldn't wear these contacts. The girl who I spoke with told me that it wouldn't matter because they were the same brand, which apparently isn't quite true. All in all, I was completely driven insane by this place; they gave me the run-around and no one there seems to know what they're doing or talking about, even the doctor. I would never return to this place for an exam (luckily I'm moving into Chicago in a few weeks, so it won't be an issue), and though the exam I had last year was at a Walmart - with a guy who was fantastic and handed me my prescription as soon as we were finished - this experience has made me feel like these people are totally incompetent. Oh, and remember how the major reason I went here is because it had the lowest price, which is all I could afford? They told me $75 on the phone, then charged me $85. Too bad the discrepancy didn't dawn on me until after I left.
