Two years ago after Covid and a vascular surgery I realized I just couldn't see to read paragraphs. She's helped me with vision therapy, independent research, and now a remote appointment. This week I had a home EEG and needed good data for my neurologist. We met online and went through the things that make me snap, crackle, stutter, and twitch. I was only 23 years old at the time and very fearful of the operation itself. Dr. Schoenberg walked me through everything step by step. This gave me some faith in him and the machine before the operation. It wasn't until during the procedure when I realized what a great Doctor Schoenberg is. The nurse was saying technical terms to him while he was operating and Dr. Schoenberg's response was "I am not worried about that right now, I am worried about Charlotte." That is when I had complete faith that Dr. Schoenberg. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and was taking good care of me. I was beyond grateful to have him as my doctor. After he was done with the Lasik surgery he was BEYOND excited for me, so excited that he even asked to take a picture! That meant the world to me, especially because I've never been able to see clearly. I have always had glasses, since the age of four years old. I will never forget his kindness and enthusiasm for this big change in my life. I was one of his youngest patients and I am telling you right now, it was hands down the fastest and easiest procedure I've ever had. I had to take off work to go into the office and they said that based on my age, the prescription had to be at least that strong. Finally the tech called the doctor in who agreed to adjust the prescription. When I went to another eye doctor, he asked me had I really been wearing those bifocals, because based on my actual prescription they were much too strong. No wonder my eyes had been hurting. He didn't specify anything about the spot behind the eye that indicates suspicion of glaucoma and which was confirmed by two other doctors before and recently after the visit to the Thomas group. And because Susan the supervisor or manager from the Billing department said that my insurance company didn't answer back and sent me to the collection agency less than a month after they sent me the invoice which they sent 6 months late when in fact the insurance company sent me home two papers with explanations of my benefits and the fact that they paid the Thomas group and my responsibility is only $61.14 plus $35 my copay for the specialist not $604 as they sent me the bill. Incompetence from everyone!!! Starting with the technician Amanda, Dr. Mark Berman, Susan and Amy the location manager who just wasted my time with nothing getting resolved. I asked to have the test repeated because after the mistake they made confusing me with another patient I am not sure if I was tested for glaucoma or not. Now I have to pay for another consultation at another clinic to find out if I have glaucoma or not. My recent experience at this LensCrafters has restored my confidence in the brand as far as my eye exam went. The store is located In town center mall between JC Penney and the now closed Sears. There is an entrance both inside and outside the mall. When I walked in for my 5 30 PM appt on a Wednesday, a young lady kindly escorted me to the Doctor's office. Everyone including the Doctor was Amicable. I was happy to hear they have a policy that you can come back within 30 days if your glasses are too strong to have the prescription adjusted. My experience with my eye exam was very pleasant from beginning to end, they answered all of my questions and I felt confident about the health of my eyes when I left. After receiving my prescription I went to pick out my new glasses. I prefer LensCrafters over other places due to the high end brands they carry. A young lady gave me a tray, told me to fill it up with all the glasses I was interested in and she would be back once I was done. They had a nice selection of women's glasses from brands like Prada, Coach, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and a many more. I sat down at a desk to try on the glasses I chose. I was able to pick out 1 pair of glasses and they had a 50% sale on select sunglasses so I chose 1 pair of those as well as my second pair. Two associates helped me with the fitting, both were jovial. I was happy that I wasn't pressured into getting anything I didn't want, they offered and moved on when i said no. Before finishing up the transaction they tripled checked to make sure the order was right. I had a great experience inside this location, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The store was clean and organized. The selection was current and the frames were all very tasteful. Now what did not go well was after my visit. My two pairs of glasses arrive on Saturday, only 3 days after my appt. I was called to come in and pick them both up. Then I received another call asking if what were clearly supposed to be sunglasses were just that. They were sent in with a clear lens, so I was only able to pick up my primary glasses. I was very understanding, I was told they reordered them on that day and they would be in 7 to 10 business days. Welp it's been well over that time and everytime I call about my sunglasses I get the run around and then I'm told someone will call me back and never do. If I am able to track any other order I make from any other store there is no reason why they should not be able to tell me the status of my glasses. I spent a lot of money on my glasses and at this point very disappointed in this location, I had so much hope things would go well. At this point I doubt I will get glasses from here again, but I will definitely be back for my eye exam.
