This is one of the worst eye centers especially when it involves patient billing. As a pretty new…read morepatient with a few visits, I received a statement for optical eye pictures taken and obviously the insurance company did not pay for. I originally contacted the office to question the balance due and learned that the insurance company did not pay, however after speaking with one of the staff members, I was told he would see if the charge could be removed and would contact me in 24 no more than 48 hours (no response). A week later, I received a notice that the balance would go to collections on a certain date, so I immediately contacted the office once again and requested to speak with the office manager (no response) specially stating . I never received a call from the first staff member and I DID not want the balance placed in collections and if that would be the result of it, I will just pay the bill regardless of what he advised me of originally. A few days later, I received a call from the same originally gentlemen, which stated after speaking with the doctors they decided to remove the charge and explained the next time if pictures are required, I would be responsible (okay fair enough). Upon receiving my mail to learn they sent the balance over to collections after stating the charge would be removed and I am highly upset due to the fact this eye centers business office staff members to do not return promised phone calls nor do they follow up within the time frame specifically stated and the worse part of this whole situation sending my account over to collection and the ONLY way I could put it is, totally deceptive on there point to the point I strongly feel I need to find another eye center, due to the lack of being totally incompetent when it involve a patient's account. At this point, I don't know who the office manager is, because I still have not received a call back from the office when this whole issue started from the very beginning, which is mind blowing when you ask to speak with an office manager regardless someone should respond (but again NO one wants to work these days). I really don't know what's wrong with the health care system these days nor some of the people employed, it honestly appears some just don't want to work, but at the end of the day expect a pay check, because clearly this should not have happen.

We went around to a couple different stores (in and outside of the mall) before landing at Pearle Vision. Although pricier, you were instinctively aware that the glasses were of better quality and the customer service was great. I didn't feel hounded or hassled at all as I freely took FOREVER to try on multiple frames. Keisha was great, being both very knowledgeable about the products and options, and assisting me in finding a frame(s) that complimented my face. She was also very patient. So, when it took me about 3 weeks to select 2 frames, she still worked with me as if I were a new customer or better yet, a loyal regular. I chose 2 frames and a pair of sunglasses all of which I love. I even returned to get the anti glare added on (which Keisha had recommended but I declined) after realizing it affected my driving at night and how I looked in pictures. Love the staff here! People were in and out in a progressive manner for appointments. They even managed to work a few walk-ins in. The doctor, Dr. Amit, was very friendly, and really knew his eye stuff. I was impressed. Courtney, the office manager, got me in the door, with excellent customer service skills. How often do you hear that anymore? I think these folks try a little harder to BE good, and to give you GOOD, QUALITY service, because they know they're competing with the guys you see on tv all the time. I had a good experience, recommend these folks, and will be returning.

I guess everyone had the same idea to use their end of the year insurance benefits and get glasses. Came in to get my glasses adjusted. Put my name on the list and waited for 15-20 mins. The eyeglass technician was very friendly and fixed my glasses in 2 seconds. Definitely worth the wait. This location could use a few more employees during this season.

I called in Apr but the soonest they could get me in was Jun at Marietta location so I confirmed it. 4 days prior to the appointment date they called me and cancelled because the Dr was on vacation. Re-booked for the next soonest availability in July at Canton location. Two days prior they called again to cancel due to double booking! Offered to re-book for Aug. I'm clearly going to find another eye clinic!

12/30/24 Cumberland Mall Location (Inside Lens Crafters)…read moreI have been going to the Atlanta Eye Group for my annual check up for years now. First, their scheduling system is one of the best I've seen. Not only do they issue text reminders , you can schedule your own appointments based on availability. The Doctors actually remind you and do not rush you off for the next client. Everyone is pleasant and professional. You first arrive for check-in at the back of the store and shortly after around ten minutes or so I was called for the various eye test to check my retina and to see if there was any change in my vision. You were then escorted to another room where you wait for the doctor to perform eye chart testing, and go over the results of your eye test with you. My doctor is always pleasant, and she spotted a change in my retina which she informed will be monitored and make sure to compare it to last year's test. I always feel heard, and that I'm getting quality care when visiting the doctors here. My prescription did increase a little bit in my left eye however it was not enough to need to change it at this time. However, it didn't stop me from getting a new pair of glasses because after your visit your then provided more information based on your insurance to either upgrade your current pair of glasses or purchase a new one. So of course I got excited and purchased a pair of Meta glasses! Check on your aging eyes at this location. You won't regret it! Con: since this location is in the mall it can get pretty busy and you may have to wait a bit to get your prescription glasses order completed.

After my appointment, I ordered my contacts refill through 1-800-CONTACTS because they were significantly cheaper. Atlanta Eye Group never returned their request to confirm my prescription, so I was sent the wrong prescription (+2.50 instead of -2.50). Thankfully, 1-800-CONTACTS is used to this unethical practice and has agreed to replace the box with my correct prescription for free. It is absolutely unethical, unacceptable, and negligent for a medical practice to ignore these requests. Thankfully I had a few old contacts I could wear in the interim, but I will never return to this clinic.
