I really have to wonder if the people who talk about the great selection here have been to literally any other store, anywhere? Their produce selection is abysmal. Do you need a pepper? No, you can only buy a pack of 6. Do you need a lemon? Again, you can only get a gigantic bag. Want some green beans or Brussels sprouts? They don't have them. How about some ginger root? Again, not carried. Do you need some body wash? It's all locked up, better get an associate! How about a card for a baby shower? You have the option of three. In the market for women's shoes? They have precisely ZERO. Their makeup/nail polish selection is satisfactory. There is a Starbucks on-site, which was thrilling upon my first visit. I got breakfast and a latte! But on my second visit, exactly one week to the minute later, I was told that the Starbucks didn't open until 8 am. Funny, because my friend and I were served at 7:25 the week before, and the website (photo included here) says you open at 7, too. Gotta love the consistency! (Not.) While the location is convenient, the selection is atrocious, the PPD officer stationed at the front door is a bit unnerving, they push everyone to self-checkout even when there are unoccupied employees available, and there's not even a guarantee that you can get a redeeming Starbucks beverage! Nope, not a good store. Seems relatively clean and modern, but everything is extremely inconvenient. If you are going to lock most items in cabinets that require you to ring staff to unlock, you need to have enough staff to come and unlock, it took 3x longer than it should have. At one station nobody came despite ringing the request button repetitively. Mostly self checkout, so you do most of the work yourself when you aren't' waiting for people to come unlock the multiple cabinets which lock anything of worth in the store. read more

Being the best Target in Philly is like making the best vegan cheesesteak, it's good but what are you really comparing it to? There is still no furniture at this location and they seem to have trouble keeping inventory in stock. The building itself is huge. They could stick twice as many SKUs as they appear to. The highlight are definitely the grocery section and the clothing sections, which were both large but very picked through. I came here to buy a gym bag and bike helmet and found neither. I was also looking to but their famous Favorite Day low call, high protein Cookie Dough ice cream but they were completely out. It was a disppointing trip but this Target definitely has potential. They have plenty fo parking and a fairly accessible location (by car). If you are in Philly and NEED to go to Target, this is the one to hit. Having moved from Florida to Philly, I never realized the struggle of living in a city where driving/parking will be an issue. This Target is the closet to my apartment, and I am thankful it is because out of all the Target in the Philly area, this one is the best one to shop at. Since this Target is a stand alone and not in a shopping plaza, there is ample parking. Your car feels safe here. It is not the biggest Target but it has the basic items plus basic groceries. There is a Starbucks inside: a legit one, not a "we proudly brew Starbucks" bullshit. The store is clean, organized and bright. There are cute small buggies that you can push around. The beauty makeup section is surprisingly big and carries a lot of stuff. The only downfall is that this is not a full grocery Target so fresh and frozen food options are limited. True, some items may be $1 or so more but check your Target cartwheel app beforehand for savings. Otherwise, I'm ok paying a little more for the convenience instead of fighting my way through the crowds like on an episode of Survivor at Wal-Mart on Christopher Columbus or driving to another Target. The Target on South Christopher Columbus is a lot worse compared to this one in terms of parking and accesbility. They run out of stock on a lot of items and the employees seem grouchy when you ask for help. This Target is so much better than that one. read more

This marks the fourth Target within reach of the Center City area, and it's the biggest Target yet of those four. If you can't make it to a "regular-sized" Target store (like South Philly or Cherry Hill), this will be about as close as you'll get in terms of the breadth of stock available. Most typical Target departments are here, but you won't find as much variety in the sporting goods & technology areas. For example, you shouldn't come here looking for bikes (there are none at all) or Nintendo Switch consoles (although it did have a few PS4 consoles available during my visit, along with a couple of Nintendo 3DS units). And as is the case with these near-Center City Target stores, prices are a little higher than you'll find at a "regular-sized" Target Store - many items carry prices that are about a dollar or so higher here. But as we have all learned - you do pay for convenience; and I can knock a ratings star off for it. This is a beautiful new Target that will be great for its intended area (which was a rather desolate wasteland in the Northern Liberties section) - it will be interesting to see how it might help residential/commercial development over time. read more

Always have loved Target and I love how close this location is. This location has loads of parking which is a luxury. I just moved to the area and have been trying to find a new grocery store to go to. ACME has basically everything and is usually fully stocked, but is generally $1-2 more than what I'm used to. Wal Mart has everything the cheapest, but not the biggest selection and can be an absolute zoo inside. Target seemed to be in the middle: not the cheapest groceries, and not the biggest selection, but a lot cleaner. Service was good at the registers and in the aisles. The day we went the grocery shopping the shelves were fairly empty and we couldn't find everything we needed. It was a Tuesday afternoon. We'll give it another shot later. read more

I'm thrilled at all the Targets that have popped up in Philly recently! This location has parking, which is wonderful, and is convenient whenever I happen to be in the NoLibs/Fishtown areas. While I haven't browsed through the entire store, this Target seems a lot larger than some of the other city Targets. They have a full stock of bath and beauty items and I was very pleased with the selection on my last visit. I haven't interacted with any employees because the lines are mostly self-service, but they are around and available, if needed. read more

This mini target has exactly what I need on a daily basis. It's a few blocks from my apartment. Clean, service is great. Employees are always helpful. From price matching at the self check out, taking returns at customer service to the barista at Starbucks making drinks... everyone has been very pleasant to interact with. Get the app to catch all sales and available discounts. Plus it's easy to check what's in stock at the store. There's plenty of parking out front if you're driving or if you're biking there's plenty of space for that as well. read more

Shopping here is pleasant. Never messy, lines aren't ridiculously long, staff is helpful for the most part. In and out with zero stress or complaints The Starbucks can use another barista in the morning because they are always understaffed when I'm grabbing a drink, but I don't go to target solely for the Starbucks so it's not a deal breaker. read more

Pay close attention to advertised prices as they will overcharge you at checkout. I shop here all the time and there are countless products that have a tag for one price but when you ring it up, the price comes out higher. The clerks are always willing to do a price adjustment, but how can this be legal? This isn't a mom and pop shop that didn't get around to changing their price tags, and it's been going on since they opened. Can't tell if it's intentional or not. This Target just opened over the last couple months and is definitely convenient to where I live in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. Has a good size parking lot, and although the Target itself is on the smaller size it still has a little to offer from each section of a normal store (beauty, home goods, a pharmacy, and even some groceries). The groceries, however, seem to be lacking in quality and quantity. There was a lot of empty space on the shelves and after getting home and trying it out we realized the produce just was not up to par with ACME or even Wal-Mart. For quick small household items I would recommend, but probably won't shop there for food again. read more

One of the worst Targets you could possibly go to. Finding a human that works there is next to impossible and one that can help you is just asking too much. Came here to grab a few items and 3/6 self checkout stands were closed for some inexplicable reason. The line of people was around the corner and someone finally came to open one of the checkout stands after having waited way too long. Efficiency is not how this location operates and it for sure is not firing on all cylinders. I'd rather walk out of my way to get to a Target where I can grab my things quickly. Further, there are still idiot customers WALKING around the store without masks on oblivious to the fact that there are signs posted everywhere and everyone else around them seems to be wearing one? While the store is super nice, this is the second time I've gone in and both times multiple items rung up incorrectly. The price on the shelf would say one price, then it would ring up $1-$2+ more expensive. Had to go back and double check all prices multiple times. They did price adjust for us, but it was just pretty complicated. Also, many items are in general a few dollars more expensive than other targets in the area or online. read more

Frustrating that this is just another inadequate and mediocre retail option for Northern Liberties (like the woeful Acme at 2nd & Girard). Aside from the fact that this Target doesn't maintain inventory for basic items, customers are forced to use the self-check out, even though the store is often filled with staff who are just standing around, chatting with each other. I can't rely on this Target to be anything other than a hit-or-miss "convenience store". Thank god there is an actual CVS about 2 blocks away. read more

While the proximity of this Target to my house is more convenient, the convenience ends there. Everything seems a little bit more expensive and I just finished a trip where they were out of four of the five items on my list. They weren't crazy items, they were normal household items. So many of the shelves were bare. This is not normal for Target. I asked the cashier if it was normal for them to be out of so many things or if the store has issues getting deliveries and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I now have to go to a different Target and had to take a trip to the grocery store afterwards. So not worth it. The clothing section is way too big, home goods and tech sections, which this area direly needs, too small. There's a better self-care selection at the CVS across the street. I have been coming to this target since it opened. A lot of the staff have continued to be here since it opened. Everyone is usually super helpful & nice. I felt compelled to write this as I was here yesterday & the employees were wiping down carts and pay stations diligently & right after each person's use. I visited the Target in Northern Liberties early on Saturday morning. I'm sure the store has been chaotic the part couple of weeks due to COVID-19, but I had a great experience. I had checked the store inventory online and it showed they had oat milk in stock, but when I got to the store, there were none on the shelf. Paul, an associate at Target, was extremely helpful. He went into the back to get me a container of oat milk. I walked up to the register to check out, and he came over to tell me that the oat milk I had was different than the one I had originally requested and then went back to get me the correct one. He actions were above and beyond and I truly appreciated it. read more
